Hello, yesterday I switched to PA4.5 Beta5, and I'm facing a WiFi issue. When I turn phone ON I connect to wifi and all works fine, if i turn wifi off and then on again, my home network is always out of range, the only way to fix this is full reboot (soft reboot does nothing)
I'm using furnace kernel for PA
Anyone can help me?
Hi All,
I have installed latest Remix OS beta on my HP Split X2 laptop and observing that WIFI signal is very weak. Whereas, in Windows 10, the WIFI signal strength is very strong.
Do anyone has any solution for improving signal strength in remix OS ?
Thanks
wifi strength error
hey gurung_vishwas1;66780474,
first of all turn off the wifi in your remix then reboot your wifi router . after that turn on and just wait for the wifi to totally activate in your remix after sometime u will get poor signals then just connect to your wifi router . although the signal will show aspoor but u will get strong signals
WiFi support has been getting more stable as remix os got updated, but it still has issues. I lose WiFi signal frequently and my only solution found so far is to turn of WiFi in remix os and turn it on again - it fixes everything. In previous remix os versions I had to physically unplug my USB WiFi dongle and plug it back in - and it would work. I suggest for now you do the same. Don't mess with the router, it's needless. Just restart WiFi in remix os or replug the WiFi dongle.
So there is some problem that i encountered quite some time ago...
I have a wi-fi router at home and all my devices work fine with it apart from Nexus 9. When i connect the tablet it work fine but if switch wi-fi on N9 off and on, it does no longer see my home network. I have to reboot either N9 or router. I've had this issue on 6.0, 7.0 and 7.1 roms with different kernels. I understand that most probably there's something wrong with wi-fi router, but maybe someone else had such a problem.
<Solved> Swift2+ Nougat v7.1.1 WiFi issue
I have a Swift2+ (unmodified) which worked fine under Marmite.
The OTA upgrade to Nougat v7.1.1 seemed to go smoothly, apart from a slight issue recognising the SIM and the SDCard which some fiddling around and a couple of restarts seem to have sorted.
However......The phone is unable to connect to the Internet via WiFi - checked network settings, changed to static address, restarted again - still doesn't work.
Using the Fing app reveals all the other active devices on the local network so the WiFi is connecting.
Looking on the router I can see the phone as a connected device. But the phone insists there is no Internet connectivity.
All the other devices, including various mobile phones, all work just fine.
Moving the Swift2+ away from WiFi range it switches to the 3G network and then insists there is no Internet connection via the GPRS channel. Moving to a friends house gives the same issue with the WiFi at that location.
So the problem is with the phone not the WiFi network.
Any suggestions ?
I've no problems with WiFi, try to wipe data (factory reset) and if it doesn't help contact WileyFox support...
Problem sorted - it was a bad DNS entry on the phone, for some reason stayed the same on static and DHCP until I edited it.
Now all ok.
Hi, I am using Redmi note 3 Kenzo runs on RR ROM Latest Version. In sometimes my device will not provide internet through wifi. It will shows that connected to a network but no internet connection. Same time if i connected to the same network by my other phone or with my Laptop, there is no problem. I can access the internet. After rebooting the phone (Note 3), It will work like normal. Plz help me to solve my problem.
The MIUI update has bugged the 2.4GHZ wifi; it will connect and work on 5GHz, but 2.4 tries to connect - connects and instantly disconnects, despite the wifi status saying it is connected and working.
I found this info under the phones advanced CIT testing menu.
It HAS been reported on the MIUI forums, so hopefully will get fixed soon, until then, I suggest you disable 2,4GHz, so you dont accidentally run up a huge 4G data bill like I have.
