I suggest you to wait more, patiently. If you want more tips on boot loader unlocking I suggest to refer miui forum.. There is more about boot loader unlocking there than here on XDA.

Hello sir, i got permission granted by xiaomi for unlocking bootloader, then i downloaded the unlock tool in my pc. As soon as i click on the flash tool application, i get the error windows cannot access the specified device path or file. I graanted total control in properties, tried changing location, turned off all anti virus , none worked. So, another guide suggested a method to enable hidden admin account. He asked me to go to safe mode and type net user administrator /active:yes in cmd. But, when i tried safeboot>minimal via ms config, i got the notification, bitlocker encryption is enabled on your os drive and that i will need to provide a recovery key. Online i found certain ways to unlock bitlocker encryption without key or password. But i felt , this is too extreme, considering that my laptop is a company issue for work purpose. Kindly help. Unlocking permission is granted but unable to run the tool on my laptop. Thankyou very much

This has nothing to do with Bitlocker.
The unlock tool needs admin rights to work. Did you start it as Admin?
Did you Install the drivers for your phone? I can be a problem if you run a 64 Bit version of Windows.
Did you try different USB cables?
Did you try different USB ports on your laptop?

Install ADB and fastboot drivers, install Redmi Note 4 USB drivers.
Enable USB debugging in developer options.
Try older versions of the unlock tool.

Minimal adb and fast boot is installed
note 4 usb drivers are installed
usb debugging, oem unlocking both enabled
Downloaded older version of MiFlashUnlock_1.0.1225.2, this time it opened fine with no error of specified path but after logging in unlock button is not available, says phone is currently not connected even though connected in fast boot mode

Now that you know which drivers work for you, uninstall all the previous versions which you installed and reboot your PC. Then only install the one which works for you and reboot your computer again.
Then try using the latest MiUnlock tool.

I tried opening the latest unlock tool with the new drivers installed, same error continued. Tried few other online solutions, futile again. At last went to a nearby cyber, within an hour, phone unlocked, redwolf twrp recovery flashed, magisk system less root installed. Lol!
Thanks a lot though guys, appreciate your help

Unlocking bootloader of Redmi note 3 (MTK Version)

Hi
I have a redmi note 3 Hennessy device and i attempted to unlock its bootloader using Mi unlock tool. However it is giving me the "Failed at 50% progress" error. I have permission and everything. Now i was wondering, is it mandatory to be on a MIUI developer ROM in order to successfully unlock the bootloader? Can i do it while i am not global stable rom?

i had the same issue, while you read online that u should do so many stages in order for this to work. all you have to do is wait!
just take yourself 10-11 days just to be safe, (mine was unlocked after 8, but i changes from person to person).
also just checking that u do have OEM unlock enabled in your settings, and ofcourse USB debugging, and that u have clockwork adb drivers on your PC.
hope i helped, let us know if it works after a few days
Thanks for your reply. However, I cant seem to find the option OEM unlock anywhere in settings. Where is it located?

You can find both options USB debugging and OEM-Unlock in developer options.
http://xiaomiadvices.com/miui-7-enable-developer-options-and-usb-debugging-on-xiaomi-android-phones/
If you still face the 50% issue after allowing oem unlocking and ADB interface, try uninstalling usb drivers from Device Manager, that helped me everytime.

Is this method mentioned on MIUI forum to unlock bootloader working?

Title EDIT:

Yeah working, but it's unofficial unlock.

Thank you, Sir. I have tried the official method for the past seven days, but it gets stuck on 99% Account not bound to this device. That's why I searched for other methods.
Also, I am never going to flash MIUI ROM on my device again. Could the unofficial method still be a problem?

As you have official permissions first try to perform these steps & try unlocking :
> Locate device using MI cloud (find device) https://i.mi.com/
> check if the mail , phone are linked to your MI account
> Enable OEM unlocking & bind MI account with your device in developer options
> Download this https://mega.nz/#F!iQVFTB5Z!elmzC8piy8PukrOxiXHDFw connect the device to pc turned on - go to developer options & revoke USB debugging authorizations - now enable USB debugging - open cmd from the folder which you've downloaded - type adb devices ( hit enter button) - if it displays daemon started on port xxxx - you'll get a pop up on mobile ... accept it - disable pattern lock, num lock, etc delete fingerprints - now try unlocking logging in with a mobile number if it fails then email id & finally with mi account number.
Also make sure to wait for a week to unlock officially.
If everything fails you can proceed to unlock unofficially & remove ****UI from your phone.

Okay, Sir. I'd just like to point out the fact that I noticed one thing mentioned on that thread. It is specifically for Kate (Redmi Note 3 Special Edition) while my device is a plain Redmi Note 3 Kenzo with 2GB Ram and Hexa Core SnapDragon.
I think this might be a problem since that .mbn file mentioned on that page belongs to a different variant.
Can you please point me to the correct thread? Or a method that uses .mbn file to unlock bootloader on my device?

Unlocking Bootloader Redmi Note 4(SD)

I want to root my 6months old redmi note 4, I've got the permission to unlock my phone, I got it 2 months back, now I'm trying to unlock it with the MI unlock tool(2.3.803.10), but the tool doesn't detect my device in fastboot mode, I tried it with another MI unlock tool(1.1.0315.1), which successfully detects my device and when I try to unlock it it stops at 50% asking me to update the software version, and when I try it on the updated version it doesn't detects my device. What's the problem here? I can see my device in fastboot mode in command prompt. Please help, I've tried so many times but unable to do it so far. I've installed all the drivers but it doesn't help.
Hi,
you are in a wrong section. Please post in correct one.
Anyway, as I remember you should be on developer rom to be able to unlock.
Go to official miui global web and check Developer rom installation instruction using Fastboot method. Then unlock.
This shouldn't be in dev subforum.
Btw try with different pc. I've got the same problem earlier. New mi unlock on my old laptop with win 7 32bit doesn't detect my phone, older one detected it but then stucked at 50%. Tried with my friends pc with win 10 64bit and works flawlessly. In my case i dont even need to be on dev rom, I've unlocked on global stable 9.0.5.0.

1. hold power and volume up to go to stock recovery. connect the phone to PC so that the driver gets installed automatically. then try unlovking again (from fastboot)
2. make sure you use a USB 2.0 port.

I did run into problems too. For me it was a driver issue on my Win7 64 bit PC.
As far as I recall, you need to check first, that the phone in fastboot is appearing in the device manager as "Android Bootlader Interface". I think there is also a check driver button in the MI unlock tool at top right corner. I hope that helps.

Redmi Note 4X bricked constant reboot someone could helpme...

Hello I have a redmi note 4x completely briked..the phone has the bootloader blocked, when I turn it on it restarts and never gets to load the system, I have already flash by testpoint many rom, Miui developer, Global Stable and still in the same, The phone in fastboot mode and Revory (the original of the phone) does not restart, and during the flash by testpoint it is also maintained and never disconnected, I say this because I have read some cases that this happens. At the beginning of the problem he always came to show the three points that he is loading MIUI but there is a reboot, this is not anymore the case, now it never comes, sometimes it stays on when I leave it for a long time restarting but stuck only on the logo MI .... someone knows how to solve this problem, I can not send it to any technical service or anything in my country that does not exist ... greetings
I'm no expert, but I would go online and unlock the bootloader. Then follow this: http://c.mi.com/thread-334-1-0.html There might be other ways, but this one will work, even if getting Xiaomi to unlock the bootloader takes time.
Unlock bootloader, it takes 3 days for Xiaomi to approve it. Install twrp recovery, wipe everything and install some aosp rom.

Not sure but I think you should install adb and fastboot on pc and then Connect your phone then try "fastboot devices" and if it shows you some device, it means that your device is plugged in properly then try "fastboot oem unlocking" command this would unlock your bootloader, well the big problem is that all these commands are with respect to the Linux pc, there are something similar to do with windows and worse thing is that xiaomi have different method for unlocking the bootloader as shown in other post

Thanks for your answer, but for unlock the bootloader of a Xiaomi Phone you need first apply and ask permissions with a mi account , after that use a sofware name Mi Unlock with the account login on the phone and on the MI Unlock software. Is the only way in Xiaomi's Phone. The big problen here is I can't get into the Android System I can't put my account in the phone for unlock the bootloader.

Have you tried any fastboot rom to unbrick your device, I have read your post where you have mentioned about flashing some ROMs but have not seen fastboot rom
you may use wipedata option in recovery mode, if you done have already backed up your data or you can sacrifise the data on phone,it will load the original recovery rom, than upgrade rom.....

During unlocking, I made sure to open a hotspot from the phone # which is registered with the MI account.
*edit: it's a Wifi only Pad.. so.. though I do have a choice of Wifi or hotspot during the unlocking process
I have also tried the exact unlocking method from technobuzz link you have provided. Thank you for sharing.

I was ecstatic!!! when i first saw the pic
I've got this.. pic with an unlock. Does it mean bootloader is unlocked?
if i choose the second option and enter WiFi information, then choose the first option, it boots as though factory reset has been done (goes through the initial setup) BUT all the data is there. and status shows it's STILL LOCKED.
Now the 2nd time, i let the locked icon stay and boot into fastboot and try installing TWRP, it failed :-(
this is the error i get:
fastboot flash recovery twrp1.img
Sending 'recovery' (33812 KB) OKAY [ 0.842s]
Writing 'recovery' FAILED (remote: 'No support by lock control')
fastboot: error: Command failed
What now?
Thank you for any/all the help i can get

upon connecting the cable to the device (in a fastboot mode) the Unlock tool does NOT see it as being attached eventhough the bootloader drivers are there and shows that device is connected. when i type "fastboot devices" my device shows up as well
*the global Mi Unlock tool takes me to the account info (where i can change password/email/other details
i've tried various versions of MI Unlock tool.. (including batch unlock ones) all give the same result. Just like to add.. i have successfully unlocked Mi Note 7 using the Mi Unlock tool (at the time I didnt have to wait eventhough there was supposedly a 7 day wait)

Have you enabled USB debugging?
Are you using a usb 2 port?
Is the Mi pad usb port 2 or 3?
The Mi Unlock folder must be at the root of the hard drive.
Try running Mi Unlock as administrator.
EDIT:
ANOTHER TOOL

Im so happy, NOSS8! Thank you ever so much!
moving the folder to C:\ must have done the trick AND running it as admin.
there's a 120hr wait then what recovery do i install when there are no officially supported ROMs either

Glad it worked but if there is no recovery or rom for this model, why unlock the bootloader?
You can install a stock Global or other rom but without locking the bootloader and rooting to have a certified play store.
