Asus Zenfone 3, ZE520KL, 6.0.1 rooted
I use a dual sim smartphone with both sim cards from the same carrier, one for data connection (which doesn't make calls or texts) and other for calling/texting (I'm explaining because someone might say "just use one sim card" lol).
So, as I'm using both sim cards from same carrier, there's no sense to have two signal icons, just one will be useful. Also, two icon means more space occupied.
The point is, I tried some xposed modules but all of them hide both icon with no option to choice just one of them.
Can someone help me? Thanks anyway.

Hello, I have AMOI A862W there is a ported MIUI v5 ROM, but after start it asked for PIN code only for one SIM card, also in notification bar it shows only one SIM card signal.
Is there any solution to show second sim signal in notification bar, or enable it for dual sim ? I daily use both sim cards and I need to be sure, that both are "on".
I found something similar [Q] Remove signal strenth icon from status bar, then I decide to ask you guys for any help.
Your better off asking in the MIUI forum. There is no development for it outside of the miui team in China and they don't have a big following here.

Xiaomi devices have single sim support. Thats why MIUI has single support. Its dissapointing but if your ROM has been built to use as a Single Card then there is no such option.. However, you can ask in MiUi forum to develop different ROM fr ya..
I got that enabled by combining miui of two phones for my phone you should ask a miui with dual SIM enabled.
Sent from my Spice Mi-515 using xda app-developers app
That ROM has dual SIM management in settings, I can enable second SIM, but in notification bar is shown only one signal strength. Also Xiaomi Hongmi is dual SIM and uses MIUI.
Hello!
It will be a great option for our device to have a 3g/4g slot switcher. I have two sims in networks capable of 4g/3g so i can help if anyone wants me to try the software.
What this mod should do?
-assign 3g/4g function to slot 1
-assign 3g/4g function to slot 2
I am aware that we can't have 3g/4g on both sims simultaneous i only want to change sims without opening the case. Sometimes i have a better signal on a sim, sometimes i have better signal on the other sim. I have a tempered back case on the phone and it's very hard to take it off to change the sims.
Thank you!
If you're using a cm12 based rom the 3G/LTE can only be used on the sim1 slot. Its a know bug without resolution for now.
On miui roms just need to assign Sim1 or Sim2 to Internet. The one you assign is the one capable of using 3G/LTE, the other will use 2G.
Thank you!
It was so easy and i spent hours to find a solution. Thank you!
It' working very good. The only thing that is annoying is that if you change data sim it will broke the sms center number. You have to add it manually again after the swith. Otherwise you can not swnd sms.
Other than that... Clearmotion is working with the latest stable release, bluetooth (in car) working great, and no other bugs...
Thank you again!
Hi Folks,
Any idea on how to get rid of the encircled icon? Or at least, what is the name of this icon to help me search more. I don't have a second SIM card and I really didn't want to get a dual SIM handset but in my region only the dual SIM model is offered. So I've got this dual SIM phone with a single SIM card and the now none-sense icon.
Thanks in advance.
Since I could not figure out how to send a picture, I will explain. I have inserted a single SIM card in a dual SIM handset. Fortunately the phone is not showing any icons pertaining to the absent SIM card 2. But still it shows a SIM card icon with "1" in it designating that SIM card 1 is present. This is none-sense to me and I would like it to go. I want directions for doing this. I searched, but found nothing and even have no idea what this icon may be called to do some further search.
I'm using Marshmallow.
Thanks.
Hello all. I decided to ask my question in a non-ROM specific thread.
(Mods, please move if necessary)
I'm looking for a ROM which has 3G or H+ service on SIM 2. Let me explain my situation:
-SIM 1 has my main Rogers Wireless SIM which I use for work: LTE/H+/3G data, voice, MMS/SMS.
-SIM 2 has my secondary Fido SIM which I only need for MMS/SMS and occasional voice.
In my particular area of the country, Rogers & Fido both have scarce LTE coverage, and ZERO 2G coverage - this means that I'm frequently on 3G or H+. Furthermore, I take this to mean that seeing as I am not using SIM 2 for data, I should only expect to have 3G/H+ coverage for voice & SMS.
At some point in my progression of OS upgrades, I became unable to use my second SIM; there is simply no network connection. My phone recognizes the SIM, but there's just empty signal bars. I have tried swapping SIMs (Fido in SIM 1 & Rogers in SIM 2), and I still get full bars on SIM 1 and no bars on SIM 2.
I have tried many available N ROMs, including AOSP & CM14.1 based, with no luck.
I would appreciate help with the following:
-is no signal on SIM 2 a Nougat problem? Or a particular type of OS?
-is my assumption correct, that I need 3G/H+ for voice & SMS only on SIM 2?
-can anyone point me in the right direction for a fix?
Many thanks!
Ken
Umm.... Wrong section buddy... AFAIK SIM2 doesn't support 3g/H+
EDIT: Reported,, should be moved soon.
Update: So I found that EDGE/3G/UMTS is possible on SIM 2 - as I wondered, it must be strictly my rural location preventing it most of the time.
I'm still running AEX v3.0 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/development/rom-aospextended-rom-v1-1-t3486261) on my OPX, and I found this cool app: http://wilysis.com/networkcellinfo which tells lots about your WAN connections.
I ran it while I was in various spots in the city close to my hometown and got surprising results. See screenshots attached.
Thanks to all who PM'd me

Hi all,
Thinking to purchase OPPO Find N and wondering, Is there an option to dislable individual SIM slot from the OS ?
Thanks
why should you be able to do that?
If there is no SIM in the slot, it has no function!
So why disable, tell us more!
You are correct.
If you have 2 sim cards installed, is there an option to disable one of them, without having to take it out ?
Ahhh,. OK, you mean with 2 SIM cards. yes, you can disable the sim in the settings (mobile network), there is a slider for that.
Great, thank you very much for checking.
