Hi Folks,
Any idea on how to get rid of the encircled icon? Or at least, what is the name of this icon to help me search more. I don't have a second SIM card and I really didn't want to get a dual SIM handset but in my region only the dual SIM model is offered. So I've got this dual SIM phone with a single SIM card and the now none-sense icon.
Thanks in advance.
Since I could not figure out how to send a picture, I will explain. I have inserted a single SIM card in a dual SIM handset. Fortunately the phone is not showing any icons pertaining to the absent SIM card 2. But still it shows a SIM card icon with "1" in it designating that SIM card 1 is present. This is none-sense to me and I would like it to go. I want directions for doing this. I searched, but found nothing and even have no idea what this icon may be called to do some further search.
I'm using Marshmallow.
Thanks.

Hi people.
I've got a new Xperia X10 'cause my old one passed away. A shop SIM unlocked it and it seemed to work. It was on 2.1, so first of all I've updated it through SEUS. Then I turned on the phone, it asked for the PIN, and after that, blue wallpaper with status bar and anything else. If I take off the SIM card and turn it on again, it works, I can use apps, use wifi, etc, but if I turn it on with the SIM card, it just asks for the PIN and show the blue wallpaper...
Then I flashed back and forward from 2.1 to 2.3.3, rooted it without the SIM card, installed MiUI... In MiUI (latest from cobrato and latest from oodie) with the SIM card it works but it never got signal.
I'll probably call to Vodafone tomorrow and ask for a replacement, but I would like to know first if there's a way to fix it...
So a little briefing:
With 2.1 and SIM card it doesn't show anything on the screen, just the wallpaper and the status bar
With 2.1 without SIM card it works
With 2.3.3 and SIM card it doesn't show anything, just the wallpaper and the status bar
With 2.3.3 without SIM card it works
With two different MiUIs, it works with SIM card but it doesn't get signal
Thanks in advance!
Hello, I have AMOI A862W there is a ported MIUI v5 ROM, but after start it asked for PIN code only for one SIM card, also in notification bar it shows only one SIM card signal.
Is there any solution to show second sim signal in notification bar, or enable it for dual sim ? I daily use both sim cards and I need to be sure, that both are "on".
I found something similar [Q] Remove signal strenth icon from status bar, then I decide to ask you guys for any help.
Your better off asking in the MIUI forum. There is no development for it outside of the miui team in China and they don't have a big following here.

Xiaomi devices have single sim support. Thats why MIUI has single support. Its dissapointing but if your ROM has been built to use as a Single Card then there is no such option.. However, you can ask in MiUi forum to develop different ROM fr ya..
I got that enabled by combining miui of two phones for my phone you should ask a miui with dual SIM enabled.
Sent from my Spice Mi-515 using xda app-developers app
That ROM has dual SIM management in settings, I can enable second SIM, but in notification bar is shown only one signal strength. Also Xiaomi Hongmi is dual SIM and uses MIUI.
I have a galaxy gear S but unable to use the phone features. If I restart, I see it is connected but after a while, it says, insert SIM card.
Anyone seen this issue?
Thanks in advance
Ask your carrier for a new SIM card. It should be free.
Hello.
Is there a way to use a second sim card as a default card in a phone with dual sim? I want to use messaging app which doesn't support dual sim, but I can't physically switch cards.
The first card is used for data connection and the second one for texts and calls.
Best regards,
grunai.
edit:
I have found the solution but using paid app so I will post it if I can
Hi all,
Thinking to purchase OPPO Find N and wondering, Is there an option to dislable individual SIM slot from the OS ?
Thanks
why should you be able to do that?
If there is no SIM in the slot, it has no function!
So why disable, tell us more!
You are correct.
If you have 2 sim cards installed, is there an option to disable one of them, without having to take it out ?
Ahhh,. OK, you mean with 2 SIM cards. yes, you can disable the sim in the settings (mobile network), there is a slider for that.
Great, thank you very much for checking.
