Hi Note8 Lovers
I think if we share our Battery life and SOT from own favorite Custom Rom, will be useful for all.
Write your information's with this method:
Android version: ---Custom Rom name: ---Custom Rom Version: ---Custom Kernel name: ---Custom Kernel Version: ---Any Description (if you want): -----
Good luck :good:

And what exactly will it be useful for ?
Sent from my Galaxy Note8 using XDA Labs

Most of people after root and install one custom Rom because of busy job can't test all custom Rom.
And one of important parameters of custom Roms is Battery and SOT.
Good luck

my highest from lightrom is 6.32hours of sot while aod was off..with aod on i got around 5 hours of sot...best battery backup..

Ironman Rom v 1.2.0
Xceed Kernel v 4.4.13
6 hours SOT /26 hours total from Last Charge..
With AOD permanently on, WiFi/4g/voLTE/voWiFi permanently on and everyday Bluetooth on when i am in the car (twice a day minimum) about 1-2 hour Bluetooth per day.. Also the brightness is all day at 60-70% only at bedtime i can't handle much brightness and i have it at 30-40%.. The resolution chosen is wqhd+ and use all stuff like Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Spotify, lots of web browsing and a little bit of YouTube not much though..
This is the right way to say about your battery status.. Including the total hours device is on from the last charge..

[Q] Android System Draining Battery? *Pics Inside*

Hi All,
Ive had my sgs2 for about a week or so now and have been trying diff. custom roms almost every other day. Last night, after flashing the new villainrom 2.3 and its recommended modem, i think ive been getting the best battery life ive had so far....
HOWEVER, i find that my battery is draining for no reason still. I'm a long time android user, but also have an iphone 4. I dont expect my battery to be as great as the iphone 4's, but unnecessary drain is a little annoying. When I check my battery usage, this is what shows (look below), is this normal?
ive only used the display for about 2.5 hrs in 12 hrs, and thats the drain im getting.
Oh, and juice defender was JUST installed like 5 mins ago, so disregard that.

Why dont you try installing 2.3.4 KG1? I have it on and it seemed to have increased the battery life. Did you check any processes that are not shutting down?
Vr2.3 is based on kg3.
That looks ok, use titanium backup to freeze anything you don't use.
The most useful part of the battery info is the zoomed in graph with awake time etc.

Villainrom still has all the samsung bloatware in it. I have cognition and man my battery lasts long. No weird apps running in the background. Just JD Ultimate taking care of even more powersaving.
With regular texting and app usage (of course differs to any type of person) I get 32-36 hours of usage.

[Q] Battery life

It seems a lot of people were saying the Atrix had very good battery life, but after flashing one rom and kernel then back to stock with stock kernel. It seems my battery life isn't the best, it may just be me or actually the phone.
So, is it just what I did to the phone or the phone?
I'm at 60% with 5 hours and 12minutes of use.

You used a lot of wifi and 3g. It looks like your phone could make a workday from morn til night on a single charge. How much battery did you expect? 3days? You can 5 days if you just leave it in your pocket in airplane mode.
I voided my warranty and your mum.
My Atrix 4G drop 30% after 1 night (2am - 7 am)...
I checked batterymix software, the fingerprint service comsumes about 70% of the TTL energy eventhough i disable the service and set security screen to none.
How can I turn the service off permanently?
I'm using (3.14) CRUST v0.7 with [email protected]#1 kernel....
Srry because I just bought the phone (used) yesterday!
Guys, is there really a need in creating yet another battery life thread?
I have personally wrote a complete thread with all known fixes, as did a number of other forum members.

Your problem isn't unique, please look at what others wrote before starting from scratch.

[Q] Bad battery life

Hello, 3 days ago I've installed CM10.1 nightly build from 2013-07-25 on my friend's Galaxy S III (international), now his battery life is really bad and he's complaining on me, any way I can improve the battery life?
Here goes a screenshot (as you can see, he wasn't even using the phone when the battery just dropped 50%):

Cyanogen mod roms are known to drain battery much faster than touchwiz.so you cant really expect the battery life to be the same as on stock or stock based roms. you may improve the battery life by using an app called Greenify. it hibernates apps so that they will not run in the backround. this can help considerably. also make sure to turn off gps , bluetooth, wifi. and mobile data when not in use.
well first tell your "friend" that thats how things are in AOSPs. Secondly use differrent kernels and proper setting to get max battery (tutorials are available) plus greenify apps you do not use. And the usual killers as GPS/WiFi/NFC/3G use only when needed or turn them off..
Something is extremely wrong there. Get a normal usage BBS dump and post it here. Also take screenshots of the BBS pages.
Also post a screenshot of your battery stats page (one that shows which apps drain battery).

Redmi Note 4 MTK Battery Issue

For last 2 days, I am facing these weird battery issues
1. Battery drains crazy. Scrolling on Reddit/Pocket apps or just browsing through Settings/Interface it drains my battery from 100% to 80% within 10 minutes
2. I can do heavy task(asphalt 8 games or Youtube) at 1% for more than 1.5 Hours
3. With AOSP Rom I can get SOT = 5+ hours, but for all MIUI Rom(Global 8.5.6 or 9.2.2 or Xiaomi EU or MIUIPro) I can get hardly SOT= 3+ Hours
Bootloader Unlocked & Rooted with SuperSU 2.82

I'm on 8.5.4.0. MIUI ROM and after my first charge on this phone got 3+ days of battery and a little over 8 hours of SOT. Seems kinda low but after googling all I found is that MIUI versions after 8.2. all have bigger battery drain.

Are you sure your Redmi Note 4 is Mediatek series, I presume it's SD variant

Unusual battery charging pattern after first custom ROM

Hello,
I recently took the plunge to unlock my phone's bootloader after almost 2 years of ownership.
Installed LineageOS few days ago, and started seeing this very unusual battery charge pattern.
It would almost stop charging at 90% and resume to 100%. I checked with DevCheck app, the charging current was under 200mah when in pause state. Like in first screenshot attached.
Today, the pause happened at almost 60%, then continue to further as I post here.
Will update this post with latest screenshot.
Can anyone share some ideas why is this happening?
After flashing new ROM, I let it go to 10% then started charging.

Also, now taking a lot of more time than usual it did when it was stock ROM.
More than 4hrs, and still not 100%

Update on battery charging pattern. It seems the pattern is same, it goes too slow at 90%, then after 15mins or so, continue to 100%.
Also, today it charged with better current. 1300mA at most, while average current up to 90% was 1100mA.
Will be keeping eye on it for few more days, and report here if I see any changes.
