That is telling me those packages are corrupted or they are stored partly in the data partition (HTC roms are known for this.) reflash the rom

[Q] AOKPCB - "com.android.phone has stopped working"

This is for build 37 on an AT&T atrix.
Worked fine all last night. Then this morning got the error: "process com.android.phone has stopped working". The phone will load, I get that error hit ok then it pops up again, then again, again... If i go to airplane mode, then turn off any and all data related things in the system menu after all that I can navigate around the phone. If i switch to 2G only and turn off airplane i can get calls and place calls via the contact list. However there is no dialer app in the drawer and I cannot answer an incoming call.
I booted into cwm recovery wiped cache and fixed permissions but get the same thing.
Just saw a post elsewhere (http://productforums.google.com/foru...es/WMeRPJuEQJc) about turning off signals, switching to auto select carrier and some other ****. But it didnt work for me as I can get far enough into the carrier to select or deselect "automatically select carrier".
I think I need a new phone.apk, where can I get a good one?
Other solutions besides full wipe and reflash?
Try just flashing again. Don't do a full wipe. Just wipe caches again after flashing. If that doesn't work then you will have to do a full wipe.

Wiped cache and dalvik, reflashed, wiped cache partition again. No good. Full reinstal now.
Didn't work. Tried replacing phone.apk, that did nothing.
Full wipe reflash. See if this happens again in a few days.

CMX install problems "unfortunately phone/ui isnt respondong"

Hopefully I can get some help from you guys I'm currently on hboot 1.12 HTC devunlock and I'm running TWRP 2.2.1. I tried flashing CMX but I get "unfortunately phone isn't responding" right after that it says the UI isn't responding and the dialog boxes keep appearing. So I can't get past the lock screen. I've already tried wiping and reflashing and it didn't help. Any help would be appreciated.

IF S-ON = True:
Then you have to flash the boot.img kernel file via fastboot. I would also try downloading the ROM file again and double checking MD5 just in case.
IF S-OFF = True:
Download the ROM again and check the MD5, make sure you wipe the hell out of your phone, and if your coming from another ROM or Stock, don't recovery any Nandroid info, you should have to reinstall your apps or recover via MyBackup or Titanium Backup (app + data, no system apps).

I thought it was only if you had updated to 1.15 for the hboot that you have to flash the bootimg..... nvm ill try it once i get home
Definitely sounds like you might have a bad download. Also download the superwipe zip and use that too. With hboot 1.12 you should be fine to flash without any special procedures.

A known issue in CMX is that phone process will crash, it does this while the phone searches for a signal, once a signal is found it should stop. Just try waiting it out, it doesn't really affect anything, once the message is gone you will be fine

That is only for HBOOT 1.15 and up. HBOOT 1.12 allows for flashing of kernel from recovery with S-ON.
When you say you tried "wiping and reflashing", what exactly did you wipe? You should do a factory reset, then wipe data, system, cache, and dalvik. Then flash the ROM.

Don't forget data too
One user kept corrupting his phone with a backup of user data, I don't know how or where he got the relevant knowledge to obtain just an image apps and user data but it was corrupt and he stuck himself in an endless cycle of reformat and reflash apps and data. A human boot loop lol I was thinking about adding it to the troubleshooting guide but what are the odds that someone who doesn't know what they are doing will create a zip install of backed up data (or fail really since it is corrupt) and flash it *looks around in baited breath* well OK then
Well i think the factory reset worked now i get a not so frequent dialog saying process.phone.android has stopped. Should i reflash or just wait it out? lol
I would wait it out
I had this exact same problem. My issue was I had flashed a modified mail app that got rid of the Exchange Security Lock. Once I factory reset I was fine. When I tried flashing that Mail app again, I got the same Phone has quit error over and over.

That is a known issue with CM10. Phone process will force close upon boot until you get a signal. Once you get a signal, it will be fine, and not happen again until you reboot.

I didn't use titanium backup the Play Store just started installing everything I needed which was why I thought it was weird. Everything is working great so far. Thanks to everyone for their input and help.
Google market back up has been a long time feature. Its just that OEMS won't include it or for some reason disable it. Every HTC Android phone I have own has asked permission for Google market back up but upon factory reset or flash, sense will disable it the automatic restore

I also get the force close of the phone when I toggle airplane mode. Sometimes it doesn't stop and I have to reboot.

Try to wipe cache in recovery.
If that does not help, try to re-flash the stock ROM.
If that does not help either, you may have to wipe data / do a factory reset.
Good luck !
Backup your SMS, then:
1. delete all messages and restore copy
or
2. just delete existing messages.

[Q] Settings Stopped Unexpectedly

when i tried to open the 'Location and security' under settings, its gave me an error message saying 'The application Settings(process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again', i have a rooted smartphone and this problem never occured untill now, any suggestions? i am on a rooted gingerbread 2.3.3
Do some work...
1.Go to recovery mode by switch offing the phone and then rebooting into recovery mode by POWER+HOME+VOLUME UP
2.Clear cache.
If problem is not solved u may have to do a Factory Reset & Data Wipe...

Clearing the cache/dalvik cache and fixing permissions should do it. If you have a modded version of the settings.apk such as a theme or whatnot that could very well cause the issue. Good luck!
alright this is wierd, i tried entering into recovery mode but my phone would restart normally instead, i tried installing bootmenu manager but it always gives me a parsing error message(would really fancy a site/place where i can download a correct file app of the same) i nevertheless installed quick boot tool from playstore...entered the recovery mode...cleaned my dalvik cache and fixed the perms as you said and rebooted, and guess what, PROBLEM NOT SOLVED, it still FC on me giving the same error message, anymore suggestions??
also I haven't modded my system files whatsoever although i have uninstalled some preinstalled apps which were not system apps but just simple music, video apps etc, can it be the reason, anyway if i can undelete them, i have no backup of em anymore
P.S.- sorry for any misspelt things

[Q] Nexus 4 Stuck in "Andoid is upgrading... Starting apps." After Updating CM11
URGENT - PLEASE HELP
After I updated CM11 to the latest build OTA, my Nexus 4 became stuck in the "Android is upgrading...Starting apps" screen. I tried rebooting it, that just resulted in a bootloop, so I cleared the Dalvik cache, and now the situation is the way it was originally - in the Starting Apps screen.
I was able to get to the CWM recovery, however if I backup to /sdcard, the backup fails - I have no idea why. I have not backed up in a long time.
Is there any way to solve this problem WITHOUT performing a factory reset? I REALLY cannot afford to loose all my files...
Thanks.
