My previous LeEco Le Max 2 X829 died a slow death after my previous Cigarette USB charger burned/fused the usb cable into the phone. The phone survived about another month after that until the motherboard completely died on it last week. No charge, no fastboot, & PC doesn't recognize the phone.
I ended up ordering a LeEco Le Max 2 X820 from Bangood.
https://www.banggood.com/LeTV-LeEco...20.html?rmmds=myorder&ID=232&cur_warehouse=CN
Will the X820 be completely compatible with this TWRP:
https://dl.twrp.me/x2/twrp-3.1.1-0-x2.img.html
And all the XDA ROMS here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/development
I just want to be absolutely sure before attempting to flash any ROM/recovery on it once I get the phone.`

On my Le Max2 OTG does not work .... and in your?
How can I fix the problem?
I didn't have a device to try that, but I tried connecting a gamepad via bluetooth and tried to listen my music via bluetooth (Car-Media-Device was the output). Neither of them worked.
Bluetooth working fine on 14S ROM. A little slow to connect but I have connected 4 items and all work fine @massymoroboshi OTG is also very good, I think its fast too.
I have used USB type c drive and it just asks to allow
For computer make sure 1 drivers are installed an 2 select media device from dialogue box the phone opens when you connect
ok thanks .. I have tried with an adapter micro-USB / USB-type-C + OTG cable, and is not detected by the phone. The PC connection is ok, I'll try to buy an original OTG cable

Im on 14s right now. Still USB otg not working. What am i doing wrong
Hi there!
I Think I've got full information on the OTG matter now after googling and testing stuff.
tldr; Get a USB (3.0?) Type C OTG Adapter, it will work.
Longer version:
After getting my USB C to micro usb adapter I tried getting my USB Sticks to work, no luck, not even blinking so I guess not even power get to those things like this. Then I started googling to find out that the same issues were already persistent with older LeTv phones.
Then I went out to buy a USB C 3.0 OTG Adapter (cost me ~7 bucks in Saturn in Germany, will be cheaper to have online for sure), got my sticks to work and even my 2,5" External HDD without any hiccups. ROM I'm on is 14S, not on the newest update.
I will attach a pic of my adapter so at least you know of one that is confirmed to work.

Jeah I also got it working. Bought a type c Adapter on Amazon for 3€. Pretty stable for stick and 2,5"drive (drives first startup is Pretty long, about a minute) . But there is currently no support for game Controllers via otg neither via Bluetooth
Successfully connected and paired the PS4-Controller via SixaxisPairTool on my Le Max 2. Now I can finally play games without a problem with my PS4-Pad

Hi people, I'm Newbie here.
A few weeks ago I bought a LeEco LeMax 2 via Tomtop and it arrived last week. It has been working really good since yesterday.
My device isn't charging and I don't know what's happening. I have a multilanguage rom (I'm from Spain) and some people told me that this rom would give me problems, but i couldn't send a message to Tomtop for changing it because it didn't give me that chance.
Now I can't run the device because it's out of battery and my pc can't detect it because of that.
I need help getting a pure english rom (I have been looking for it but i haven't found it) and I need to know how do I solve this problem :crying:
Thank you all for helping!
i don't believe it is software/rom related. your phone should at least charge while it is turned off. if it doesn't i would suspect:
-faulty usb-c cable
-faulty charger
-damaged usb-c port on the phone
-other hardware issue (battery, ...)
if you have an usb-multimeter check charger and cable. if not just swap both.

It is turned off and when i connect it, the red led turns on intermittently like if it was charging, but after a few seconds/minutes it turns completely off until i disconnect and reconect the charger
if you have an usb-a to usb-c cable, just try with a different charger. if you had an usb-multimeter you would see whats going on.

Hello I am new here so if I chose wrong category for my thread then I am sorry.
Recently I bought a new LeEco Le Max 2 and I charged it for like three times and yesterday was the last time it worked.
I have seen different solutions what to do so I went to local store to buy different USB-C cable but it didn't help me at all. I even bought another one from another local store because I thought the problem was that the new USB-C cable may be not working but second new USB-C cable didn't help me as well so I think the problem is in mobile. I have flashed latest LineageOS 14.1 so I thought QC may be not working but charging through PC / notebook is not working too. I am completely lost and sad because I have used the phone for three days and it's broken already. Can somebody somehow help me what to do? I do not really think there is some local store where they could help me... Thanks
what about the original charger that come with the mobile?
During three days, how did you charge it?
Hello. I think Lineage is not better idea in this case. I will rather try to flash original Chinese ROM if you are familiar with using TWRP.

Solution was third USB-C cable!
Today I went to local repair shop and the guy tried another USB-C cable and charging is working again. I cannot believe that I had such a bad luck I bought 2 bad USB-C cables but luckily third one is working already.

I charged the phone through original charger that came with mobile with QC supported but I haven't flashed Lineage at that time. After I flashed Lineage I started to have some problems. I don't know if that's the reason why I had problem with charging but now with working charging again I don't really care. I am sorry for making this thread. Admin can lock it somehow if this is how is forum still working
Usb-C cable is much more expensive than usual micro-usb. That's why I've bought micro-usb/type-C connector and always use micro-usb cable.
I realise my phone is not charging after a while. Probably cable or charger problem? Anyone face this before ? X820 with 19s rom.

When I plug the cable, it charging. After few minutes it stopped. Using original cable and charger. QC enable disable also same.
Confirmed cable is dead.
Can't believe cable from LeEco so bad.

[emoji23] welcome to see the real face of leeco. They don't even have a authorised service centre here now. They had one but they cut ties with leeco because of poor cooperation by leeco.

Well the cable is cheap enough to be replaced.

My charging brick broke.... I just asked a mod in the Le Me community forum for a replacement, they asked me some questions and had me send some pics. They sent me a new charger and brick in 2 days for free.
Its worth a try.

Very weird.. the stock cable is actually fine, it just doesn't work with the Max 2. I bought an LG G5 and the LeEco cable works perfectly with it. Very weird.

My LeEco cable not working with my colleague's Xiaomi 5s plus. I check LeEco cable actually the divider is in the middle. Very weird. The USB A side, not the usb c side is weird where it is not at one side but in the middle.

Hello people, can somebody help me?
I have a Xiaomi Redmi 3 PRO and I tried to connect a mouse last week, but it instantly turned off and it's not turning on anymore. What could have happened?
I've already opened it, removed battery and connected again, but it's not working. I'm using a Moto G4 Plus now but I miss my phone
*Nothing happens when I connect charger

Happened something similar connecting an otg adapter for backup purposes last year. Turned off and never restarted. I tried changing the USB adapter PCB, without solving the problem.
