hey ive been trying to find a nougat tft but i dont know what the build number is of nougat (7.1.1)
i managed to flash android mm on my x but when trying to update it says it up to date..
so i have to use flashtool to install nougat

Is there any way to downgrade to marshmallow from nougat? For some reason it seems like Nougat doesn't let you flash anything (in twrp at least). I cant even transfer files without getting into a bootloop.
Have your tried flashing from your computer using adb? That's how i went from CM 14.1(Android 7.1) back to marshmallow.

it wouldn't work. CM14.1 works wih MM bootloader, while Official Nougat with... Nougat's one! (that refuses to boot MM).
Some have bricked it trying to downgrade... so, pay attention....

if iam flashing a cm13 rom (RR 5.7.4 )
can i flash cm14.1 firmware instead of cm13 firmware , is that even right ?
nope
note that cm 13 are based on marshmallow while cm 14.1 based on nougat 7.1.x
if you insist to do so, some of the features won't be there, malfunctioning or even worse your phone will not boot
cm13 is for marshmallow, cm14 is for nougat. u can't flash nougat firmware on marshmallow rom and vice versa

Hello world! I have the Moto Z RETUS varient of the phone. I am trying to go back to stock nougat but I can't seem to find the OTA for Nougat on the RETUS. I am one MM [GRIFFIN_MPL24.246-20] and of course can not boot cause us not being able to downgrade. Would anybody like to share or help me find the Nougat OTA for GRIFFIN_MPL24.246-20? I tried the OTA Link tool and with no success.

I've just downgrade from a rooted XT1524 with LL 6.0 to MM 5.1.1 (ROM FILE: XT1524_SURNIA_RETEU_5.1.1_LPI23.72-66_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip) and I've updated all of the apps (...)
After 1st reboot, Moto has downgraded some sensor firmwares and rebooted.
My bootolader is still unlocked.
I'm now waiting for the 6.0 OTA but it looks like it will never arrive.
Does anyone knows if the 5.1.1 RETEU is not eligible for OTA update?

LL 6.0 ? (6.0 is MM) and MM 5.1.1 (this is LP) A little confused... You've upgraded to MM, downgraded to LP and want OTA for MM ? Rather search for the latest Stock ROM for your carrier and install it, that should have the latest version..

Use search button, if you can't find any Nougat Roms for your device, then there's no need ask like this.
