Can it re-enable it later when I need to use it?

I'm going to pretend that you didn't just ask a follow up question after I answered your initial question, which was for a way to disable and ENABLE apps.

ok. Thanks. So LG Package Disabler can disable and re-enable 3rd party apps. My question was not clear enough.

Your question was very clear. LG Package Disabler can disable and re-enable ANY app, including bloatware.

T-mobile P769 bloatware disable script

I know some people are running into problem trying to delete T-mobile bloatware. It looks like there is another way if you are rooted.
There is a built in script file to disable all the T-mobile crap on the phone. It must have been put in there by the LG people when they were testing the phone.
/system/etc/disable_tmus_packages.sh
So, if you are rooted, you can use a script manager (SManager) to run the script at boot up to disable all the bloatware without having to either freeze or delete the actual apk.
This script will also take out the CarrierQ stuff at the same time.
seems works. Thank you.
nice find...
Has anyone noticed performance improvements after doing this?
how to re-enable?
i'm trying to disable the sound notification for the stock email app and in the email app settings, the sound selection is disabled.
how can i enable the bloatware? i think there might be an app or setting in there that would let me change the sound setting for the stock email app.
i tried using SManager and de-selected the SU and Boot checkboxes and restarted but to no avail.
I use titanium backup to defrost the bloatware.

Does it work in p760??

LOL!
titanium backup cannot defrost the bloatware.!!
Great found , everything was already in the phone.
can you explain in detail how to do this?
Can someone explain in detail how to do this plz. I have smanager downloaded
While in smanager, go to /etc and find the disable_tmus_packages.sh. touch it and open as "script/executable" highlight the Su (android with bones) and touch run. Now all the bloatware will be frozen. If you want something to be enabled for example the com.tmobile.pr.mytmobile (which tells you how much messages, minutes, and data you used). Defrost it with titanium backup or and app that freezes/defrost apps. Lol, or just edit the disable_tmus_packages.sh and change disable to enable then run.

Ty.. i ended up deleting bloatware with root browser

Yeah, i ended up deleting most of the crap after i made a backup.

Might be a dumb question, but does this have to be run at every boot, or does it take care of everyone when run just once?
Just once.

Edit : My bad. The correct answer is it only has to run once. The disable command will freeze the package.
It does not need to be run at each boot. All it does is save you the time of manually disabling an apk.

there are 3 "solutions":
1) Use an ASOP/AOKP rom
2) Use JKay Framework and lock the dialer & contacts in memory
3) Use a 3rd party app
Hence, there is no "real" solution to the issue.

Nope, never worked for me. It extended the amount of time contacts and dialer stayed in memory, but not by a lot. Tried on several ROMs too.

this was what i tried:
without xposed : open dialer once , kill it in "Recents" , play heavy game for while , open lots lots apps and then go back to open dialer , it like what , take 2 or 3 seconds to open it.
with xposed: same as above but it seems finished open within a second, through not as quickly as you open it , back out , open again.
Super!

What the hell did Samsung do???

Samsung really messed up right now, they're trying to replace Google services with their BS! First they removed Google TTS (which I had to manually put back through root). Holding down the menu button brings up Sfinder instead of Google now, they don't let you OTA if you've rooted. Wtf is going on! I'd personally like the option to choose to open Google apps instead of having to use Sfinder and svoice. Is anyone else feeling kind of pissed about this stuff

personally why would you want to OTA with root? Chances are you will lose root. They do that for safety, less problems. I remember phones bricking all the time when you did OTA, just do the updates from xda. And personally... I'd never compare samsung to apple. That is just a horrible thing to do man.:silly:

I was unable to boot the MI5 deodexed rom so in my case I needed the latest firmware which wasn't available in a tar file.

well Id recommend waiting. It might be harder to root again if u go back to stock
Now I'm stock with root and I'm up to date on the latest firmware. It took a while though because of the whole device status blocking an OTA but I got it. Now I'm just gonna wait for more custom roms to release

That the reason I root my note 3 , uninstall the annoying s finder using titanium backup . After I remove everything is working fine now! I hope you guys doing well too.
Another annoying thing is that I can no longer hide useless apps from my app drawer. They all have to be there. I HATE THAT! But I love touchwiz

Fingerprint app lock...

Can i lock apps with the fingerprint?? I tried all the app lock apps but they don't show fingerprint lock as an option...
Does anyone know how to enable this??

Phone Manager is used to lock apps
You kinda are...if you go into the phone manager app and find where it says app lock, you can use that to lock the apps. I use that to lock all my apps and it works great.

It won't let you uninstall it. Thanks!
What app is it?
Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
Under google settings it's CONJOB-19 exposure notifications likely soon to be contact tracing. I've been ignoring updates since May as they are forcing this garbage down everyone's throats at some point. Eventually my phone locks up with "new sim card" messages if I ignore updates long enough.
This should only provide notification if you would install your health authority tracking app. Did you install anything? This is why it is active.
This is part of Google account and you can just switch it off.

"should" yeah right. These sneaky dirtbags have already proven themselves to be sneaky dirtbags. At present it is showing inactive but I don't believe that for one second. I'd like it off my phone. I looked into rooting as I've done it before on an older phone and actually successfully put a custom ROM on said older phone. But it doesn't look like this is an option yet on this phone? Not even sure that rooting would help? Thanks!
