Hey all fellow S9+'ers...
Are any of you guys successful in running any of these apps on the S9+?
BK Package Disabler for Samsung
Package Disabler
Adhell
UPDATE: See Post #17
If so, what version are you running? I can't get any of them to work...it's being a little stink...
Those were my go to apps for a Titanium Backup alternative for NON rooted phones, but it keeps giving me issues when trying to install it on the S9+.
Oh how far does this knox virus run...uugghhh. Right now Oreo is a crap shoot...
I'm trying to freeze software updates along with some other stuff I normally freeze.
* I know this is traditionally a software related issue, not the phone, but as we know with Samsung and knox, it has always been a breed of its own.
Update:
It works. BK Package Disabler for Samsung. See Post #17.
Package Disabler Pro (for Samsung) v11.7, installs fine, but when trying to check a box it says, "Operation not supported."
Any ideas?

Hmm ... thanks for confirming. That's odd why it's not working on my end.... I'm going to reOdin the stock firmware and try again ... Will keep you guys posted.
ps. To confirm, you're using the latest version of Package Disabler Pro?
Yes I am. DLed from Google Play.
I'm stock Sprint .
None of them will work -- updated permissions in Oreo require MANAGE_USER permission to disable packages. I assume whoever confirms it's working is rooted or is using a different model of phone (SM-G965U1 vs SM-G965U, etc.).

I have Sprints S9+ and the Package Disabler Pro would NOT activate. However, I bought the Package Disabler Pro+, and it does disable apps. It is the Pro+ that works.
Package Disabler Pro+ Working here.. G965F, not U.
No root, no twrp, stock rom.
Package Disabler Pro works fine on my exynos version, no brand ITV italian firmware. All stock.
BK disabler doesn't work on my side: invalid package name is the error.

I'm also in TN. Can you tell me if you have any problems with the notifications being too quiet or with not being able to turn off the camera sound?
Hola
I was annoyed that Package Disabler Pro wasn't working on my Snapdragon S9+. After launching it several times I finally got prompted to enable some Knox based service. Once I completed this form PDP was able to work as expected.
The amount of extra sh!t that Samsung adds is no laughing matter.
Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk
OK, installed Package Disabler Pro, installed and activated PDP engine, and it still won't run. When I try to disable a package, it tells me I need to run in owner mode. Have those of you who got it to work done this, or did you get it to work without making it an owner app?
Not having root sucks, I agree with you.. but here's what I've been doing on my s9+
https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/
And I think these tips apply to our s9/s9+ nicely

SABS is a good replacement for Adhell if you take the time to install it.
Package disabler pro+ policedeveloper works. worked on G965U1 stock fw and G965U i just installed. both RBG
what Files have you guys been disabling?

Follow the steps in that link. It works..... (https://kunkunsoft.wordpress.com/fix-package-disabler/)
Just download the BKDisablerRemoverTool.apk .... and ... PackageDisablerFree.apk .... Remove the old copy if you have one using that tool then install the PackageDisablerFree.apk.
Next go here, https://kunkunsoft.wordpress.com/setup_device_owner ..
Just follow the directions... easy peasy...
Attached is my xml file for those who are interested. I figured it's easier to work your way back in deselecting the few things that you may need, rather than trying to hunt down everything you don't need. Apply (import the xml) it to your BK Disabler to give you a good starting point....

The application is attached.
Changelog:
V3.3
-Improved installer by writing main application directly to /system/ instead of extracting to storage and then moving it.
-Added installation support on marshmallow
V3.2
-Added dynamic installation which will help this application get installed on many devices without any problems
-Added support for jellybean and kitkat devices.
-Should work on Note 2, 3, 4 and 5 and other S-Pen devices now without any problems (all variants, only N910F note 4 variant was tested, please give feedback)
V3.1
-Rewrote the installer. Installer is much more reliable now.
-Rewrote the service from scratch up. No notification, and uses very little power since it only runs when the pen state changes.
-Removed Learning/Static modes because I thought they were redundant.

Excellent..

I'm glad you like it. There is no known way to detect when an application is opened, which means that the only way to do this is to periodically check for the foreground application (every 5 seconds for example), which would make the application drain too much battery for my liking.
I'll look into it further (maybe there's a way to detect application launch using root), but I can't make any promises.

Yes, it asked me about root privileges and I allowed it on first launch.
I can't delete application data because this button is inactive in a application manager...
Supersu checked, everything is ok.
Is the app compatible with Marshmallow? I can't test it yet, I'm waiting to root because of knox and warranty
It does not work with Note 5 - 6.0.1, I downloaded it from Play Store, run and install, then reboot my phone. After that I run the app again and it still asks me to install.
I will very soon work on a fix for both Jellybean and Marshmallow versions. Sorry for the late reply but was extremely busy.

I'm such an idiot. I rooted for your app alone and didn't find this thread until afterward. I have a Note 5 on 6.0.1. Has there been any progress? I'd gladly buy the app. Thanks.
EDIT- Once you click Install, only a fraction of a second passes and it says to reboot. There is no way enough time passes to actually install anything.
This is possible by XDA member Some_Random_Username thank him!
WARNING!
As this is a service ROM to unbrick / downgrade OnePlus devices
all the data gets wiped in process of flashing so make sure to backup all data before installing.
I was looking for clean Hydrogen OS image for MSM Download tool, and
XDA member helped me finding it.. The firmware was uploaded on chinese baidu server so downloading it was kinda pain in *** because I was downloading it for 4 days but now it's here and I reuploaded it on GoogleDrive and here is the link.
DOWNLOAD Google Drive
DOWNLOAD Yandex Disk
DOWNLOAD OneDrive
After downloading the .zip file extract the zip file and rename the folder name so that there are no Chinese characters in it for example: oneplus7 otherwise you will get error " Package not exist" when running MSM Download tool and run it as Administrator.
Here is the Guide on MSM Tool | You can also download all needed software packages for it to run also you will need ADB mini package if you want to reboot to EDL from ADB.
The firmware is 100% working I have just installed it on my OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition and it's working perfect.
It also works for normal 7T Pro
You will automatically get 10.0.4 as OTA update
For those who want clean HydrogenOS without converting from Oxygen this is best solution without Unlocking bootloader.
Firmware version: 10.0.1 immidiately gets OTA to 10.0.4
There are 3 lanugages available: 2 Chinese and 1 United Stated (English)
This will convert your 7T Pro to HydrogenOS like it was from factory.

Hi friend. Yeah. That's my main concern. I was wondering if someone can confirm this. But I guess if we have the apk files from apps through the backup of oneplus switch, we can still install them off line right? Also I am getting an error in msm tool. It stucks in param preload. Tried to uninstall and install again the Qualcomm drivers but I am getting the same message. Thanks for your reply.
Edit: I tried this to my EU OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition and I am getting the error message from the MSM Tool "Unsupported Target EU". So this is not working for the EU variant of the 7T Pro McLaren? I am asking so I should stop waste my tries to make it work. Thanks in advanced.

Yes, this was the only version that worked for me.
Just to add, if I enable app-twin for whatsapp it immediately says it's not certified, then disabling it stops it.
This also happens when using phone clone and copying whatsapp over when app twin was used, but I didn't realise at the time why until I set it up without phone clone.
Everything else seems ok though.

Thats good news. Cheers
Same here no issues after update
Did someone already tried to use https://apkpure.com or other "alternative" Store?
Recent method 1 and method 2 are not working. what happens is that LZPlay is not integrating the .apk as system files and for this, they do not work. Take great care of your previously installed GMS.
google has blocked all methods now
Does this not work anymore? I tried the method from redskull and during signin stage, I did not get an error and did not see the "next" button. It just get stuck at trying to signin forever and can only see the cancel button

Hello,
I have a P40 pro Plus with the buid 10.1.0.156 (C432E2R3P3) (FR).
I used the following method to downgrade to version 10.1.0.132 :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2b_lBPc-Hk
and for install GMS:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Lcq...ature=youtu.be
for the software used a search in Xda and you will have the solution
The only downside is that it is not possible to update the version afterwards, but it works while waiting for a possible commercial release from the USA.
Hi, I have tried RedSkull's latest guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLzeYQ9YHVI) to install google services on P40 Pro Plus (10.1.0.155), but after trying multiple times, it was not successfull. Then what I did was to follow RedSkull's guide till account creation and launching of the blue G App (pressing the blue button and let it run in the background), and then I start following the @eloygomezTv guide from that step. Only change I did was before installing the Google Play Services (from EloYGomeZTv files), I uninstalled the microG. And then I followed the guide from EloYGomeZTv with his files and viola, I was able to install it. It took me two tries though.
Hi all,
One of the things that was missing for me was the center clock.
The void in the middle needed to be filled so here you have a module to place the clock smack in the middle, it's not off center like previous mods, this one is as it should be.
Flashing always at your own risk, please read all instructions before flashing, module has been tested and is working on the latest android 11 BA running OOS, untested on non OOS ROM's

Magisk module failure.
This works for any magisk module failure.
1. Power off your phone by holding the power button, then turn it back on.
2. As your phone gets to the bootloader warning screen, press and hold volume up and down and continue to hold until the phone shows the boot animation.
3. You'll boot to safe mode, simply reboot once more.
4. On next boot all your magisk modules will be disabled, remove the problematic module and re-enable the functional ones.

I don't have an easy route to 11.
I'm on a Sprint\Tmo OP8.
I don't have Local Upgrade.
OTA disabled due to root and Tmo hasn't finished A11 anyway.
I'm hoping someone will make a A11 full rom to flash via TWRP to get me there

I've been reading that thread for days and only get more confused the more I read...
I have to MSM back to stock? Then convert via fastboot? Idk... Very confusing reading it all.
Or I'm just too dense.

Lol nah it's worrying doing these things but it's not usually as hard as you think.
Get it planned out before hand, I've rebranded before, on the p20 pro and I think a few HTC devices.
You'd be hard pushed to brick a OnePlus phone tbh.
But you're right to be careful. Just make a back up first.

So persist and boot is fine. But you probably won't be needing any of them.
As for the rest of it, backing up via twrp is one thing but at the point there ain't a functional copy of twrp for 11.
So backing up to twrp might not be the best idea.
I got out all my pics, vids, music, synced contacts with an account (Google) or sync everything to Google (I don't mean a back up as a single image, that's your choice)
Apps I would make a titanium back up of.
Then theres pretty much nothing left.
Copy all the titanium files out, that'll serve you well when you're ready to restore.
Then head down the rebranding route..
I'm not great with changing variant but I would back up also maybe your EFS partition if that's still a thing (IMEI's) just because of the networks hold on things, I can't think of anything else you could lose out on..
I'll check out the rebranding guides and see if I can make easier sense of it for you.

Sadly some games and streaming apps like amazon prime display below the front canera....the result is a black bar just till the front camera
The notchkiller mods solved that issue but none of them working on android 11 so i was just asking if there any compatible version of the mod
Earlier netflix had this problem too but now they have solved it.

There's a feature to change screen in android 11.
Plus you have the cut out option in display.
Hi,
I have found well working guidelines from Getdroid for rooting 11T PRO and 12 PRO but i do not find any for 12T PRO.
Is is the same procedure like before with Magisk? I think it shall work but is there any difference for Snapdragon 8+ gen1?
How i have done before:
-Bootloader unlock
-Magisk upload
-Patch Boot.img
- Flash patched IMG file?
Thanks in advance!

Sure. The same as other phones.
Hello!
If I want to use google dialer on the xiaomi.eu ROM, do I need to be rooted? E.G:. root (magisk) and the.1.04 google dialer module?
Or is it enough to download the 3 apps from the Store (phone, contacts, messages) and it will work?

no need to root, you can choose to install only the google dialer, just set it as default.
Oh great, I'll download them from the Play Store then.

You will lose the call recorder.
Unimportant.
I do not use.
I do not need it.
edit:
The call works, I tried it.
Unfortunately, there is no message.
Even if I send an SMS from another phone, I don't receive it.
It doesn't even show an error. :/
Messages.apk (store, google)
