Yes, this was the only version that worked for me.
Just to add, if I enable app-twin for whatsapp it immediately says it's not certified, then disabling it stops it.
This also happens when using phone clone and copying whatsapp over when app twin was used, but I didn't realise at the time why until I set it up without phone clone.
Everything else seems ok though.

Can't be guaranteed, but I've been through two updates and it's not affected GMS
Thats good news. Cheers
Same here no issues after update
Did someone already tried to use https://apkpure.com or other "alternative" Store?
Recent method 1 and method 2 are not working. what happens is that LZPlay is not integrating the .apk as system files and for this, they do not work. Take great care of your previously installed GMS.
google has blocked all methods now
Does this not work anymore? I tried the method from redskull and during signin stage, I did not get an error and did not see the "next" button. It just get stuck at trying to signin forever and can only see the cancel button

Well it's not my native language all I copy what the guy is doing on the handset
Helps to know what exactly he's installing and from where.
Hello,
I have a P40 pro Plus with the buid 10.1.0.156 (C432E2R3P3) (FR).
I used the following method to downgrade to version 10.1.0.132 :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2b_lBPc-Hk
and for install GMS:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Lcq...ature=youtu.be
for the software used a search in Xda and you will have the solution
The only downside is that it is not possible to update the version afterwards, but it works while waiting for a possible commercial release from the USA.
Hi, I have tried RedSkull's latest guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLzeYQ9YHVI) to install google services on P40 Pro Plus (10.1.0.155), but after trying multiple times, it was not successfull. Then what I did was to follow RedSkull's guide till account creation and launching of the blue G App (pressing the blue button and let it run in the background), and then I start following the @eloygomezTv guide from that step. Only change I did was before installing the Google Play Services (from EloYGomeZTv files), I uninstalled the microG. And then I followed the guide from EloYGomeZTv with his files and viola, I was able to install it. It took me two tries though.

Hi,
just to say it: I would not have to ask this question at all, if the cyanogen forum would be up... I'm pretty sure I'm not the first cyanogenOS user with this problem.
I'm a TripAdvisor user and the android app is letting me down during my holiday at this very moment. Because I'm using CyanogenOS (not rooted) it won't show the embedded google map. The complete error message I'm getting is: "Themes on devices running Cyanogen OS are known to cause crashes with Google Maps. Maps on TripAdvisor will be disabled on this device."
I've never had a crash with Google Maps on Wileyfox Swift2. So how do I get rid of the issue with very little effort?
Thanks!
I have this same problem. It's a bit annoying for the TripAdvisor app to not even give the user the option to try the embedded Google Maps. The original poster's idea of "hiding" the fact that the device is running CyanogenMod (in my case, despite that TripAdvisor thinks its Cyanogen OS) from the app would be a useful workaround.
Anyone?
thanks.
(OnePlus One, CyanogenMod 14.1 nightly last, until LineageOS gets up and running...)
Same problem here with running Oneplus One CyanogenOS . I'm pretty sure it is a way of tripadvisor boycott Cyanogen powered devices, because I never had a single problem using both Tripadvisor or Google Maps...
Hi littlebifi, you made a point to note that your device is not rooted; is that to suggest that on a rooted device you know of a way to fool the TripAdvisor app into NOT blocking Google Maps embedded? How?
thanks,

Hi,
I'm sorry, but I don't know if it's possible to fool the app if the device would be rooted. I just stated it to describe my current setup.
As a temporary solution I downgraded my Tripadvisor app to the previous version (uninstalled the old one, downloaded an old apk from some database online and installed this one) and now it's working again. But now I have annoying update notices from the play store, but the embedded map works again.
URL of prior version Tripadvisor app .APK?
Thanks for the reply. Could you post the URL of the prior version Tripadvisor app .APK that you used? (I make the assumption that you're satisfied that it's a legitimate version, not infected/tainted).
cheers,

It's not the fact that it's an .apk instead of a Store installation (that would give a different error). The Android Package Installer really thinks that these are corrupt - or perhaps the OnePlus One or CM14.1/Android 7.1 .apk has to be slightly different than whatever I'm finding in these .apk archives?

(Un)fortunately it's a gift, I had no choice from the very beginning.
you can download play store .apk and install normally
all google services are disabled in china so you will need to flash european or american rom
Follow this guide
You could rebrand to L29 - you can do this through FunkyHuawei (it costs), but you could also install Google Services:

However, this works! Just install Playstore directly from HiApp and there you go. Unfortunately, some few apps can't be installed from Playstore. It says downloading but no progress whatsoever. Doesn't really matter though, only very minor apps. Thanks for the advice!
I have the Chinese version as well ALP-AL 00
all I did was grab the Google play a PK file from X DA side loaded onto my phone and everything works beautifully.
Luckily the Google services that I use are very minimal. I use the play store Google games Google hangouts that's about it and for everything that I just listed works beautifully no problems.
No need to rebrand your phone or any of that nonsense to get Google play services working on your Chinese branded phone enjoy.

You don't need to install GMS on Mate 10, it's built in.
If you can't download app from Play Store, try give all permissions in Settings -> Apps & notifications -> Apps -> Google Play Store -> Permissions.

You need to allow the built in download app to download file bigger than 50 using mobile data, else some app wont downloaded until you get connected to wifi
Also allow storage permission for play store
Huawei send an update OTA to AL 00 and now the PlayStore didn´t work anymore (before update all was fine, installed PlayStore from HiApp). Now it´s impossible to load any Google app from Huawei HiApp Store. manually installation didn´t work, too. Install runs, but connect to update or install new apps failed. Any idea? Changing language and Country didn´t work, I´m from Germany and already tried Tanzania, Germany and China, too.

I am attempting to put a thread together that includes most of the information that anyone may need when either thinking about purchasing a Chinese Mate 10 Pro, or rebranding one.
I would be interested in getting feedback from anyone who has one of the BLA-AL00 variants, and if you could list any issue you may have with that version.
Can you still use google play, what works and what doesn't work., etc etc,
My consolidation thread is Here
I hope it can be of help to others.

Hey all fellow S9+'ers...
Are any of you guys successful in running any of these apps on the S9+?
BK Package Disabler for Samsung
Package Disabler
Adhell
UPDATE: See Post #17
If so, what version are you running? I can't get any of them to work...it's being a little stink...
Those were my go to apps for a Titanium Backup alternative for NON rooted phones, but it keeps giving me issues when trying to install it on the S9+.
Oh how far does this knox virus run...uugghhh. Right now Oreo is a crap shoot...
I'm trying to freeze software updates along with some other stuff I normally freeze.
* I know this is traditionally a software related issue, not the phone, but as we know with Samsung and knox, it has always been a breed of its own.
Update:
It works. BK Package Disabler for Samsung. See Post #17.
Package Disabler Pro (for Samsung) v11.7, installs fine, but when trying to check a box it says, "Operation not supported."
Any ideas?

ps. To confirm, you're using the latest version of Package Disabler Pro?
Yes I am. DLed from Google Play.
I'm stock Sprint .
None of them will work -- updated permissions in Oreo require MANAGE_USER permission to disable packages. I assume whoever confirms it's working is rooted or is using a different model of phone (SM-G965U1 vs SM-G965U, etc.).

Hola
I was annoyed that Package Disabler Pro wasn't working on my Snapdragon S9+. After launching it several times I finally got prompted to enable some Knox based service. Once I completed this form PDP was able to work as expected.
The amount of extra sh!t that Samsung adds is no laughing matter.

OK, installed Package Disabler Pro, installed and activated PDP engine, and it still won't run. When I try to disable a package, it tells me I need to run in owner mode. Have those of you who got it to work done this, or did you get it to work without making it an owner app?
Not having root sucks, I agree with you.. but here's what I've been doing on my s9+

Follow the steps in that link. It works..... (https://kunkunsoft.wordpress.com/fix-package-disabler/)
Just download the BKDisablerRemoverTool.apk .... and ... PackageDisablerFree.apk .... Remove the old copy if you have one using that tool then install the PackageDisablerFree.apk.
Next go here, https://kunkunsoft.wordpress.com/setup_device_owner ..
Just follow the directions... easy peasy...
Attached is my xml file for those who are interested. I figured it's easier to work your way back in deselecting the few things that you may need, rather than trying to hunt down everything you don't need. Apply (import the xml) it to your BK Disabler to give you a good starting point....

You might have luck by blocking OTA URL with a firewall or adblocking app like dns66/blokada or adguard (these work without root as a "fake VPN"). Apply blocking either system wide or just for Google play services (and maybe also update engine apk).
There is no other way without root as far as I know.

To prevent system update notification you might try to disable SystemUpdateService (and possibly SystemUpdateGcmTaskService too) in Google Play Services (use for example app "Disable service").
