New permission requirement (MANAGE_USERS) that isn't (and can't be) granted, so you can no longer disable packages using automator UI apps like BK Package Disabler or even via shell using "pm disable" or "cmd package suspend". It's all locked out now on a per-package basis.

What a really bad news mate...
So no way to full disable Bixby ??
And no way to disable bloatware avoiding root ?

I use Package Disabler Pro and it works good

The model I have is unrooted. I installed bk disabler from the store that I have purchased long back from using the S6 Edge Plus and it requires the bk plugin 2. I installed it before the last update that included bug fixes (iris scanner and fingerprint).

you need to install 2 Apps. BK disabler and then BK Plugin 2. then you can disable any app you want. im using that n my s9+ and its working great.

BK Package Disabler is nowhere to be found in the Play store for USA/GM-S965U (OEM locked Galaxy S9+) phones.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kunkunsoft.packagedisabler
On my phone, in Google Play Store, I get "Item not found" and a "Retry" button that does... well... nothing, over and over.
At my desktop PC, I get "We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server." If I view it in incognito, it says it's not available in my country (USA).
Clearly you guys are using a different model of phone.

The model is a factory unlocked SM-G965U1
Check out "BK Package Disabler (Samsung)"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kunkunsoft.packagedisabler
Oddly I clicked your link and get right to the app just fine.
Also. I live in Phoenix, AZ

Same issue (not surprisingly, it's the exact same URL that I posted).
Tried on both mobile data as well as my local network (two different ISPs, no VPNs, proxies, security/firewall, or other weirdness). Idaho, USA here.
The error I see at the browser is very similar to errors usually shown when an app is getting yanked out of the store for violating ToS.
My phone model is SM-G965U (not the U1), although it shouldn't matter at my desktop PC -- since I have multiple devices I could potentially install apps to registered with my account. It would also just say "You have no compatible devices" with a disabled install button anyway, so I'm sure that's not the issue.

Think you're right... Maybe try here. Looking like a Gdrive link...
https://kunkunsoft.wordpress.com/fix-package-disabler/
Edit: even that which I pasted looks out dated. I am not sure why you can't get to it in the play store. It has been there for quite a while, why would it get pulled now?

Package Disabler Pro works good on my S9+. All stock and unrooted.
Bkdisabler doesn't work instead.

Actually, this worked. The view-source shows some metadata that the APK was posted January 2018 so I gave it a shot. You have to go through a process of removing all of your accounts (even your Google account) from the device and using ADB to give the app device administrative ownership, but after that, it was disabling packages. It's not disabled the same way package manager would disable it and 'disabled' apps still appear in Settings > Apps, but they are locked down from executing. I disabled parts of Bixby and the rest of it complained. Then I ran adb shell ps -A, noticed a Knox component running, disabled it, and ran adb shell ps -A again -- the Knox app had been shut down. Pretty sure I'm solid, now!
Thanks for the link!

Working fine here using bk disabler. Note that bk disabler requires a new plugin no plugin 2 to work

@psouza4 do you know why on my s9+ exynos variant Package Disabler Pro works? Thanks

Did Samsung force Google to block USA from bk package disabler??

Non-official system software detected?

This morning I got a notification from Hicare saying "Non-official system software detected" with a recommendation to contact Huawei support. Any idea what the heck this is?
whahaha no butt please keep us informent, would like to known what causes this hahaha
did you installed an app thats malliciouss and has witten to system? hahahaah yeahyeah i know no root hahah
Got this as well, which is quite hilarious given the current root/Bootloader unlock condition with Huawei My only concern is if there are any actions that may follow such a message (like no more system updates etc)....

Maybe its because I side loaded the Pixel 3 live wallpapers?
Well, could be. I used ADB to disable some of the bloat on my device.
I got this notification as well.... It just dissapeared after i clicked on it, never to be seen again. My phone is nearly 100% stock, and running on Firmware 9.0.0.122.
German Telekom installed an update after i inserted the SIM card... Even tho it was only crappy bloatware, huawei might detect it as a "custom rom" (which would also explain why I still wait for EMUI 9.0.0.146, i guess?).

Netflix not showing up in Play Store

I can't seem to download Netflix for a couple of weeks now. I tried different ROMs and it's the same thing. I also tried going back to latest stock ROM thinking that it's certification thing that needs to be updated but it's still the same thing. Did Netflix remove compatibility for Pocophone or am I missing something?
download outside playstore: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/netflix-inc/
I had the same problem today after installing a newer version of vendor firmware, i guess this is the problem. But simply installing from outside the PlayStore solved the problem.

But it used to work.
How to solve this?
My Poco has locked bootloader, and i'm having this problem. Don't show in playstore and the apk downloaded in oficial netflix site is incompatible. I'm using MIUI 10 beta 9.6.27. Until yesterday my netflix worked, after i try to update, i got this problem.
its device fingerprint problem. its showing for me.

Here is what you can try
Install Magisk And After Rebooting Clear Data Of Play Store And Reopen And Search Netflix.
If it still not there go to Magisk then download section and then install MagiskHide Props Config.
Reboot and open any emulator like termux.
First type su and then return key, it will ask for root permission.give the root permission.
Now it will show you the device list choose xioami and then pocof1 then install the new device fingerprint and reboot.
After restarting clear data of playstore and reopen and search Netflix you will get it.
This process is one time only.also your device will show certified in playstore even with root.

Locked Bootloader - I think not possible
Unlocked Bootloader have an a way without installing twrp.
You Can Boot from Twrp (Don't Install Just Boot From It) , Install Magisk And Then Do The Whole Process And Then Remove Magisk And Module. You OTA updates won't break.

It only depends on the vendor, boot-loader doesn't matter.
I have my boot-loader unlocked and it shows up in the play-store even in any custom rom as long as the vendor is right.

What i am finding strange is that until a few days ago it was working normal. Then he started asking for an update. I didn't find it in the play store, I downloaded the apk from the Netflix website, it installs but it doesn't work.

The app don't install. I think that i found the problem here. I turned off Play Protect a time ago because i use VMOS for play Pokemon Go with fake gps and one of the rules for make the VMOS work is turn off the play protect on Play Store. Well, if this is the problem, i can live without Netflix in my Poco.

You have to uninstall any older version before installing this.
if you did that and still unable to install the apk, install signature is f**ked up or your package installer has some problem. trying clearing data of both package installer in apps.
If your device is certified in playstore -> settings -> Play Protect Certification, you can find and install Netflix directly from play store.
I am using Evolutionx on Poco, rooted with magisk and my device is certified and I can find Netflix on playstore.
Go to playstore
Click on settings
Check the play protect certification
If it says uncertified just google how to certified play protect.
Follow the steps and everything will show in the play store.
No matter how many rom or things you flash if it is uncertified these app will not show in playstore.

How Does Huawei Update System Work?
It reaches only one percent of active devices in the first 24 to 48 hours after an update is released. This is to enable Huawei to monitor and check device errors initially. Planned updates are done within one to two weeks. And it may take up to 8 weeks, so even if it is announced that the update will be distributed / started to be distributed, you may not see your device yet, this is completely normal!

I have P40 Lite (10.1.0.206) got Google apps working, and turned of auto updates.
Is there anybody out there that has been updating while Google apps is installed?
Dont want to mess it up when everything is working fine.

Pretty useless at least for me without it.

I actually upgrated to 10.1.0.226 BEFORE installing Google Apps.
Then I did a factory reset of the phone.
Then I've just managed to install Google Apps following the latest method described here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fTIZFehwlw
It now asks me to do a minor "system parameter update": can this break the google apps or is it safe to do it?

Patch boot.img with Magisk and flash patched_boot.img in fastbootd mode
Hi, anyone please advise the steps to extract the boot.img of Edge 30 Pro?
where I can find the official ROM full package?
Thanks.

I downloaded LSMA from https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds101291-rescue-and-smart-assistant-lmsa and installed on my Windows 11.
It require to login when I open it, I do not have an account so I click "Sign in / Sign Up", but it just keep loading... (2nd screenshot attached below)
I tried to reinstall the software but still no luck.
Any idea please?

Are you able to get Google Pay works on your Edge 30 Pro after rooted?
I have rooted with Magisk Canary 24306
Hide the Magisk app
install the module USNF 2.2.1
enable Zygisk
Enforce DenyList
Added Google Pay to the DenyList
YASNAC checked both Passed with type BASIC
But Google Pay is not allow me to add any card
I tried to install USNF 2.2.0 instead
then I can add the card, however the contactless feature is showing "Not Set" (normally should be "Hold to reader")
Previously I use Oneplus 6T with stock Android 11
I was doing the same procedure (USNF 1.2.0) and everything worked perfectly, but seems it is not for Edge 30 Pro with Android 12
Any idea or approach that make Google Pay works on Edge 30 Pro?
Thanks.

Enter your phone in bootloader mode.
Open RSA and go to rescue
Download the ROM and check C:\Program Data\RSA\Download\romfiles
Copy the .zip as soon as download has finished to elsewhere
DO NOT RUN RESCUE!
