I have problem with RR3 on Samsung Galaxy S9+ (Exynos version). Software version attached. My game is 3.6.1.0.
Game is stuttering always, at most when other cars are visible on the screen. Aliasing is very visible also. I switched from HTC U11 (Android 8 also) and there game was perfectly beautiful and butter smooth.
Doesn't matter if I use FHD+ or WQHD.
Could you help me with poor graphics on S9+?

I play it every day, not having any issue...
*edit*
Also using Snapdragon version though...
Galaxy Note 9 Exynos user here. Unfortunately it seems the Exynos Mali GPU is not as powerful as the Adreno GPU in SD845, but whether this is the cause of the differences in performance is another question. I was running into bad aliasing earlier, performance not too bad but some occasional stuttering. Have you tried using Game Tuner app from Samsung? You can force games to run at QHD resolution by turning the resolution slider ratio to 100%, otherwise the game will run at a lower resolution by default (not even 1080p!). If you get stuttering, try the Real Racing 3 Graphics app which is an unofficial app that allows you to adjust graphics settings. It can't really do much about the aliasing though. I set it to "average high" rather than "high" because the game ran smoother and the aliasing is not as apparent (there's less shininess to the cars but not too bad).
It's ridiculous as my two previous devices had this low resolution issue (HTC Butterfly s and Sony Xperia Z5) and people have complained about it before back in the days of the Nexus 7 tablet, but the developers seemed unwilling to solve it. That in itself put me off playing this game for a long time.
Buttery smooth and no aliasing on my exynos s9+. I keep it on performance mode.

This is a great app. Very beautifully done. The gallery screenshots in this app are very high quality. One of the best looking apps out there. It shows alot of promise. This is like a new version on tegrazone. Nvision is Nvidia and tegra3 focused but shows other great things also.
A good quote on Gaming on prime and Tegra3 on BladeSlinger:
" Gamers playing on Tegra 3 devices can expect even more graphical bang for their buck. “For Tegra 3 we employ dynamic shaders using Allegorithmic textures that generate shaders in real time. When you fight certain enemies, there’s dynamic damage applied via shaders that you can see. It’s one of the things that we can do with Android and Tegra 3 and not iOS. As you get closer to killing enemies, you see damage on their body—they become a bit bloodier, their clothes are a little more ragged.” The big, bad, scary monsters aren’t the only thing that will push a gamer’s graphical expectations. Expect the environments to be ripe with increased particle effects and physics featuring collidable animations—iOS will feature only ambient animations."
looks pretty good, but the news don't seem as recent as i had hoped. thanks for the heads up

Hi all of you guys.
I just noticed when i play some games for a while on my xperia s,
FPS and overall speed dropdown, phone get laggy more and more.
I run benchmark test with quadrant and antutu.
There is 2 situation with both.
1. HOT - after playing games
2. Cold - wake up from stand by and run bench
Also did anyone else noticed this kind of problem?
Here is the results...
1. HOT
Quadrant bench

known issue already, nothing to really worry about.. just don't use the processor to its max for now Sony will update the fw again soon i think..
While I haven't run benchmarks when the device is hot nor do I play many games on it I do feel the overall system starts to slow down and lag when the device gets hot. But then again every phone seems to do that, at least in my experience.
its normal behaviour on desktop PCs.. the processor slows down from like 1,5ghz to 800mhz or something like that to cool down and to not get damaged.. and the reboot issues when hot are just like bluescreens on windows ..
There is an app in the system called powersavemodule.apk that control the cpu when it's hot.

I'm loving my Nexus 10 but one thing I'm noticing is that even so-called HD games like Angry Birds Star Wars HD are subject to pixel smoothing because this thing's resolution is so high. Does anyone know of any games available right now that look really sharp and crisp on this screen? Just looking to show it off!
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 2
didn't NOVA 3 get an update for it?
NOVA 3, Riptide GP, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Heroes Call and more all run fantastically and seem to be running at the Nexus' native res. Then again I didn't notice the 'pixel smoothing' you're talking about with Angry Birds, either.
I would expect any sprite based-game like angry birds to have smoothing, until they are updated with new ultra high resolution sprites. And any real time rendered 3d game shouldn't need any modification except maybe for menus and HUDs (wich are usually sprite-based).

I played a match on Very Ultra or whatever highest is and won Can't say what the FPS was exactly, but it wasn't jumping everywhere, nor was it too low.

Hi guys,
I'll cut to the chase and lay out my problem:
Rom: MiUI 3.2.1
Kernel: Perseus alpha33
For some reason, contrary to positive reviews from Galaxy S 3 owner, Real Racing 3 is very Laggy on my phone.
I took some time out to troubleshoot the issue but to no avail. I downloaded the Fps meter app and here are the results:

It seems that the game is barely running at 30 frames per second which is causing significant performance issues.
Is anyone else, who has the game, facing similar issues? Or is the game running perfectly fine?
Also, is there any way I can improve or increase the frame rate? Or is it up to the developer (EA) to optimise the game?
Cheers!

Mine is really bad. I've resorted to playing it on the Asus Transformer Prime for the time being. Hoping they would release an update to fix the issue.

mine is fine, but unplayable on the prime
Most probably some coding issue.. I guess the developers will make it more efficient
Same here
I experience some lag also, it doesn't make the game too hard to play, but it is a little annoying
one way I was able to get rid of almost all the lag is by switching the CPU governor to PERFORMANCE for the time I am playing the game, but I have a rooted SIII with cyanogenmod ROM installed....the thing is that it consumes the battery very fast and gets a little hot, but after all it is a big and impressive game
Hi everyone.
Now I know that benchmarks are relatively pointless, as my Mate 2 scores about 5000 more points than my old Note 2, yet they feel very comparable in performance.
I also own an Xperia Z Ultra, which is pretty fast, scoring about 37000 in Antutu, but I can't say I particularly enjoy using it compared to the Mate 2, even though it has has a 6.44" 1080p screen and a Snapdragon 800.
I also briefly owned a brand new Oneplus One till my girlfriend decided she loved it and she wanted it as her new phone, lol and that thing is like lightning, scoring about 47000 points just at stock with no tweaks to it, yet again, I don't actually like the device as much as my Mate 2 for some reason. I think the stupendous battery life of the Mate 2 is more Important to me than raw speed for what I use my phone for.
I was curious about how the Hisilicon Kirin 910 in my MT2-L05 stacks up against the Snapdragon in the MT2-L03.
Anyway, Here are my scores with Antutu Benchmark :

... I was not expecting that!
I'm surprised too, my HAM2 just feels so snappy. I dread using anything else like my tablet, laptop, TV, etc... because everything else around me seems to be laboring through tasks while my HAM2 zips along without complaint.

I'm surprised too. I thought they would be closer. Maybe the 4.4.2 update has given the China versions a better score? Although saying that, I benchmarked twice with Antutu when I first got my phone on 4.2.2 and that gave me around 28,500 both times.
Benchmarks now, for me anyway, don't really mean anything. I use to be one of those "gotta have the fastest" types, but,
the Mate2 changed my perspective. For what I use, mainly phone, web, text, photos, the Mate2 is fast. The price & the battery
won me over, but the performance is fast enough. All these new hot rod devices are just overkill.
