4GB Card
I have a 4GB SD card that I'm using with my PocketLoox 720 PDA. The other day I wanted to try that with my old Wallaby. I had no hope at all because design of the Wallaby is rather old. However I was surprised because I was able to access my 4GB card with no problem whatsoever.
So the answer is yes. You can use a 1GB card and actually upto 4GB (for sure)
alpusm,
What is your 4GB SD card brand? I have 4GB Transcend, in my Wallaby, it will show correct size card in the memory information, but in Windows Explorer and Media Player, most files stored in the SD card will not show up (missing).
1GB has no problem with Wallaby.

It can support upto 2TB Micro sd card, figures doesnt matter at all, Only Class matters. Redmi Note 3 supports SDXC class which has range of 64 GB to 2TB. Companies dont advertise it because of licensing issues.
It's officially 32gb......There are 3 types of SD cards in micro SD family. SD,SDHC,SDXC....... formatting like Fat 16, fat32, exfat owned by Microsoft. All OEMs pay royality charges for using its patients.
SD, format: fat16, range:128mb to 2gb (I don't know)
SDHC, format:fat32, range:4gb to 32gb(file limit:4gb
SDXC, format:exfat, range:64gb to 2Tb. (No limit)
Fat32 support maximum file size of 4gb per file. Try coping a file which is bigger than 4gb, SD card with fat 32 fails to copy.....exfat doesn't have this limitation.
Redmi note 3 or any phone that is labelled as 32gb supported can support SDXC upto 2Tb micro SD card,if you format that card to fat32. Ya you have 4gb file limitation...low and mid range phones avoid exfat license fee with Microsoft.
Also remember windows default format tool won't give option like fat32 when formatting 64gb or above. You only get exfat and NTFS. You need to use third-party formatting tools and format 64+GB card as fat32 to use it in officially labelled as 32gb supported phones. So thats why top range htc, Samsung, Sony with SD support labels upto 2tb, bcz they pay exfat formart support royality to Microsoft..
Hope this sd card doubts are cleared
format it to ext4 via twrp and when offered to format via android system just ignore.
Hi...
I recently purchased Redmi Note 3 (Snapdragon edition).
And I am thinking of buying 128gb Memory Card for the same.
And want it support files larger then 4gb (single file size)
But after searching on internet, i didn't found any fixed information regarding the 128gb Memory Card support.
So can my phone support it?
I tried connecting the ntfs (memory card and pendrive both) on the phone but it shows error...
So i don't think it support 128gb due to fat32 size limitations..
Is there any way to solve the problems...
Note: Please i want to avoid use Paragon Mount and other similar software's
So i want to know:
Will my phone support 128gb Memory Card?
Can any changes such as rooting and custom ROM solve problem? (Although i would prefer avoiding this)
I also found out that some users after inserting memory cards of higher size (>32gb) reported 'Motherboard Damage' >>> is this possible?
Can higher capacity memory cards damage the phones motherboard ?
My Phone Info:
Snapdragon 650; 3gb RAM; 32gb Internal
Android version :5.1.1
MIUI 8.0.6.0
Thanks...
Ntfs is supported by cyanogenmod so u can flash that and your problem is fixed and yes it supports 128gb but do u actually need 150 gb in your phone.
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk
MIUI supports 128gb formatted as FAT32. Limited to under 4gb file size.
If you need to connect usb sticks to your device get "Stickmount" app, but you wanted to avoid that?
FAT32 (Large) works fine. 128GB works.
I'm on RR 5.8.0. Using 128 gb sd card as adoptable storage, and it's fine.
What type of Micro SD Card Do I need to use as Internal Storage in my Sony Xperia M4 Aqua (E2303), does it have lag, and can I use Samsung Evo Plus 32 GB 95 MB/s U1 Micro SD Card? Thanks!
you can use sd,sdhc and sdxc (all micro sd) up to a reported 256 gig so i dont see any reason why you couldnt use the evo plus card ,give it a try it wont do any harm.
I use a scandisk ultra micro sd hc1, 32 gig card in my M4 Aqua
