On my LG G5 RS988, to get the power button action to work, I have to double tap the Power button after no using power button for a while. After the device responds after double-tapping the power button, I am able to perform the power button action with a single tap if not waiting a long while before using the power button.
I am using the device with stock Android Nougat version RS98821d per-installed by LG repair center.
Since I have had the device, I believe the device has exhibited this behavior.
Is this how the power button is supposed to behave on the LG G5 RS988?

Hello,
As the title says, is there any widget kind of a thing to get the power menu, without long pressing power button?
Thank you
Issue: I have a galaxy S4 that has a bad LCD. The LCD itself functions. However when the phone is locked and the screen is off, when I click the power button, the screen doesn't come back on. But if I click the power button again to lock it and click the power button again to unlock it, the screen will come back on after the second time.
So what I'm looking for is an app or mod that will allow me to map either the power button or even double clicking menu button to have the action of clicking the power button 3 times. Any advice? Thanks!
I really miss having a physical "home" key.
Is there any way to map the keys on the back of the LG G3 to be a "home" key?
Maybe a quick press of the power button and change "screen off" to a longer press and "power off" to a double-press, etc.?
Or double-click the volume, etc.?

Have you tried Xposed Additions?
It is by far the best way to remap hardware keys... I used it quite a lot on my Samsung devices and still use it a lot on my LG G3.
You just need:
Root
Xposed Framework
Xposed Additions
I want to remap the power button so it toggles NFC when I long press it (only when the screen is on). So far every app I've found is unable to do anything with the power button. I'm using a rooted Lineage OS 18.1.

Try this
Button Mapper: Remap your keys - Apps on Google Play
Remap hardware buttons to launch any app, shortcut or action
play.google.com

Thanks, but that app doesn't work either. It says it can't modify the power button on the splash screen.
Would you want any other buttons, power button turns off the display so im not sure about NFC activating?

Lol, I know it sounds silly, but hear me out.
When you hold the power button the phone shows you a menu with the Power menu and, most importantly, card payment. As I don't want to keep NFC on all the time to avoid battery drain, I had an idea to turn on NFC every time I opened my Google Pay card payment menu (power button hold).
Ahh then you try finding an Xposed module?
You’ll find more chances of success in that way
I know you can press 3 fingers on the screen but it is complicated, is it possible to take screenshots by the power button like Sony Xperia? I know you can hold volume down and press power, but i want it under the power button as a function.
Unfortunately, the Motorola G22 does not have a built-in feature that allows you to take a screenshot directly using the power button alone, like some Sony Xperia devices. The standard method on the Motorola G22 is to press and hold the volume down button and power button simultaneously to capture a screenshot.
Yes i have learned to handle it.
