How can I tell wich version I own? - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Snapdragon or Exynos?

If there is 0, U or W after the model number, 965, you have Snapdragon version.

Use any of the free IMEI checkers online, they usually return your phone model as well.
Once you know your phone model, check either phonearena or gsmarena for the specs of that particular model.

NewBie, how to verify Samsung Galaxy S3 system detail

Due to a bad experience with a Amazon Seller, Who sold me a UK carrier (Deutche Telekom) Phone as a brand new Factory unlocked international verison, I wanted to verify if there is any way to see, if phone is indeed Quad Core as mentioned...
1) All Specification, such as RAM... etc.. What is the country of origion and if it is indeed factory unlocked or not...
Is there any way to verify all this?
2) Do you have any suggestion of a reputed seller in US, who can provide a factory unlocked phone?
hey man. If its the int. version, it has to have the quad-core, cause only asian and american version of galaxy s3 has a dual-core crait with 2gb ram.
Only in south korea there is a quad-core 2gb edition of the galaxy s3, with LTE.
and deutsche telekom is for sure not a UK branded phone.
This has to be a german branding, cause only in germany its called deutsche telecom, deutsch=german
I hope I could help ya
Otherwise, look trough code entry: *#1234# or something like that That gives you out your version.
But I'M 100% sure that you have the int. version with quad-core and 1gb ram.
Install system tuner pro. See how many core u have in spu setting.

Either you've omitted something or that sounds right.
UK got the international i9300, so that is right
Brand new... well nothing contradicts that in your statement
Carrier-Version... nothing to do with network locking unless it actually was carrier-locked which you didn't say. Carrier-branded (carrier-related stuff installed) does not equal carrier-locked.

Even if it's destined for China, Autralia,... as long as the model number reads i9300 it's the same phone.
If you've got a version for China you might wanna flash the European firmware (fully compatible) though, unless you actually want chinese stuff

just download an app called CPU-Z on the playstore and you'll see everything there is to know about the CPU of the S3.

Chinese or Indian version?

So here is the question. I' currently looking to buy a RN4 but I'm between Chinese and Indian version. Apparently, Chinese version has a much much better build quality (no plastic parts, it has chamfered edges, antenna lines) compared to Indian version. Indian version has a plastic on top and bottom and just doesn't look as pretty as Chinese version. BUT, I like flashing custom ROMs (that's why I'm here), and AFAIK, Snapdragon version SHOULD have better support for custom ROMs. So what is your suggestion? I'm planning on waiting (maybe month or two) to see how ROM development goes for both versions, and then make my chioce. What are your thoughts and predictions?
There's said to be a new model coming out in a few days, probably called the Note 4X in China and the Note 5 elsewhere, so best to wait a bit. Rumor is they'll both have a Snapdragon chip.

I hope you're right, I've seen leaks of the device gsmarena.com and there they show 4GB of RAM and Note 4X as device model, but researching some numbers I've realized it uses the same processor that is used in Indian variant rather than Snapdragon 653 everyone was talking about, so that leaked device might just be Indian variant of RN4 since it did leak before Indian variant was actually released.
Yes, I've noted that sometimes Xiaomi "leaks" details of a new model, but then the actual specs don't match up to the leaked details. So you have to check carefully. Will the new model really have Gorilla Glass4, for example? We'll see.
If your interested in the Snapdragon model its probably best to wait for the China SD model as the LTE bands are very limited on the India SD.

sd625 version should have more consistent battery life(10hours sot). Just wait few days , new china version should be same as indian version .
625 is the newest version, much powerful than 810, 801 and 650. It's confirmed now, 4x uses 625 soc. That would be battery efficient and good quality camera. Much better than helio x20....I will sell my mtk and buy sd 625 Redmi note 4x hehehe

Why does samsung have so many models for a specific series for eg Galaxy S9

Why does samsung have so many models for a specific series for eg Galaxy S9 has so many model numbers
I would like to know why cant samsung manufacture one variant which works for all region, instead of manufacturing specific models catering to each region. This is a big deal for people like me and it prevents me from buying Samsung phones even though I like them.
Why can they make it like iphone. One single iphone works all over the world and they dont have models for each regions.
TBH you would have to ask Samsung for the reason why they have so many models.
Different model numbers do not equal a bad thing. Keep in mind a model number is a way for differentiating between color choices, dual sim (or single sim), carrier, region, chipsets (qualcomm, intel, exynos, etc), storage, etc. Just because there are different models, it shouldn't be a reason why it would prevent you from purchasing a samsung phone.. Which makes me curious on your reasoning behind why it would.
And Iphone's don't come in a "one model for all" size. They still have different models.. Here are a few I could think of below:
Iphone 7 model numbers:
A1660
A1661
A1778
A1784
A1779
A1785
Iphone 8 model numbers:
A1863
A1905
A1906
Iphone 8+ model numbers:
A1864
A1897
A1898
Iphone X model numbers:
A1865
A1901
A1902
Having different models is not preventing me from purchasing Samsung. I am currently in US and wanted to buy the US Unlocked S10 but what is preventing me that there is no one model that works across the globe. I frequently visit India and If I buy the US unlocked S10 it will not work in India on JIO VOLTE network. But if I buy iphone in US it will work any where in the world including JIO india on VOLTE.
Samsung phones in US having this limitation is preventing me from buying samsung.

Hi, I thought there was a global model that had the necessary US LTE Bands as well as the other bands needed for travel? Doesn’t the Exynos model cover enough bands for global coverage? You may have to buy it online from an overseas vendor?

USA release.

According to this article, Looks like the ROG Phone 3 has shown up on the FCC list. That makes it one step closer to official release.

Hi.
Since today we were informed Asus is selling usa models by themselves, Asus, Amazon, B&H, mobileadvance.
And for suppose 12gb/512gb, part number is mentioned as 90AI0032-M00420 (US)
I have only enquiry, can anyone explain the difference between this US model and the Taiwan model. Which has part number as 90AI0032-M00350 (Taiwan)
I am a small reseller and wish to gain any difference info. As the Taiwan model is available to me from overseas at 899 USD. And this US model is for 999 USD. (both at 512/12)
Please find pic for the Taiwan version.

LMFAO, they are both a version, so both the SAME, ZERO difference.
They are the same. The different part number is because of the charger pin and voltage.
