It occurs when I'm on RR Oreo 2nd build official weeklies. I think this is oreo / RR's bug at first. This signal had been fixed once, when I did nothing in RR Oreo. Then it occurs again in same cusrom.
Condition that same in all rom I ever check:
- can use wifi for internet
- kenzo can detect my operator's name only*
- no service, no signal (0 db 99asu)
- error for manual seaching operator's network
- IMEI and baseband are available (same as my box's imei)
*when I check in network setting, when I install new rom (all rom) to choose sim for data/dial
I already read many post/article in internet. No one work for my kenzo.
- full wipe (include storage)
- clean install cusrom that worked before (RR Nougat final, PixelExperience 8.1)
- install miui 8 global via fastboot
- install miui 7 global via fastboot
- update firmware global V9.5.1.0
- update firmware 8.3.22
- update firmware 8.2.8
- restore my modem and efs partittion backup
- change other sim cards (many friend's cards with varian operator already tested)
- setting network gsm only / 4G only/ others
update condition:
- Apr 2: after my phone stay airplane mode for a long time, when I turn off airplane mode, my network works. Then, after 2-3 mins after I know my network works, I restart my phone. My network is turned off again until now. (rom miui lolipop with TWRP_ZCX ubl official)
nb:
- above list isn't an order
- firmware from this thread

I’ve had search on miui forum, but didn’t get anything. Can u give me the link or full title of the thread?
Hey, Did your problem solve ?
It might be hardware issue. Like your USB PCB board get damaged or something. Which charger you use for charging (original one or other).? Do you use fast charge or QC chargers.?
Sometime qc charge damage USB Board and burn zener diode (In that case your phone stopped charging). Also sometime your phone get disconnect frequently while charging or when connected to PC. (this is sign of USB port/board getting damage)
And network antennas are on USB board and connected to main board via signal flex cable (the one someone posted here)
You can buy USB board and simply replace it with old one and see your problem solve or not. These boards are easily available in local and online and cheap (I get one here in local for around 1.4 USD)
Check videos on YouTube for opening and changing USB Board by yourself if you want. Or you can take help of technician. (Its very easy tho)

Hello, I buy Moto Z from second hand one month ago. This Moto work on Lineage OS, i want change it to stock android for this phone cause any roms drain battery so fast. i have few questions about it:
1. I read that the best option is the BR version but nowhere in this post can I find the BR version. Could someone send a link to this version?
2. I do not have an original Motorola cable. I read that one is needed to flash in Fastboot. is it true?
3. The logo when you start my phone is not the factory logo for this phone, how can I change it?
Thanks for any replies, regards.

1. Here's the version I used https://redirect.viglink.com/?forma...mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware...fficial/RETUS/
2. The original cable (at least mine) is part of the charger USB C on one end then US 110V on the other with no USB connection to connect it to a PC. I used a cable I bought off amazon
3. Do you mean the warning your phone can't be trusted because you unlocked the bootloader or the animation? If the animation that will change based on what ROM your running.
It's ROM to install with fastboot, rights?
Your cable is certified or any cable USB C was good?
I had a thought for the logo as it would launch the phone. I do not mean the logo of the starting android.

Anyone on stock that has issues with sound quality from the speaker when on very low volume? Music or video from any app.
The sound is kind of muted if below a certain level. Like if a noice gate filters it out.

Hello everyone, i have hard bricked my PhonePad Duo S7 / ppxs7 (MT6737) while installing firmware update by accidentally unhooking the cable. I am wondering if anyone can help me fix this issue. The phone hardware is all in good condition but the software seems to be completely wrecked, the phone doesn't start at all no matter what combination of buttons and how long i hold it. I tried to flash it again, to no avail because my PC doesn't recognize the phone anymore. I tried to charge it and it didn't do anything either. When i connect the phone to the PC i hear the connection sound and a warning pops up "device not recognized", you can see it in the image i attached below ( also image of what it looks like now in device manager ). I am confident there is a way to fix this, i just need to find a way to make it recognizable once more. Ive sent an email to the manufacturer as well but i hope i might in the meanwhile find a solution as they are not guaranteed to respond, i do not have warranty on this phone. I would be extremely super thankful to any input related to my case.

As long the the hardware is not damaged, it is recoverable. First, are you unchecking preloader when flashing? If still it doesn't work., then keep phone charging overnight to see if you get a response. Other than that, you might have to get your motherboard replaced. :good:

I had similar soft brick problem with MTK tablet. Generally you need to remove battery (or unplug the battery connector) and install (plug) it back. If your battery has soldered wires you need to unsolder Vcc (usually red) wire and solder it back after a while (like a couple minutes after). If your battery is not able to remove/unsolder/unplug your only solution is discharge the battery and it can takes a long time.

Now that problem has been resolved i must ask someone to end this topic :good:
Carefull gingerbread i warned myself :fingers-crossed::victory:
When I was at Junior High in 9th grade I broke my Samsung GT-S5300 due to improperly install of incorrect custom rom (lollipop) to my phone that's why the device can't read my sd card even the gallery is empty. I broke it on last 2017. And now 2022 I tried to repair it via odin because our school allow us to borrow a laptop (which is I don't have) then repair my phone there and boom! I got my Samsung GT-S5300 back again to normal. It's now 5 years old. I love that phone because it's so hard to break it. I remember I throw my phone and then it's still alive. Until now it's still alive (but the home key don't work) but I can still use it. My favorite phone is this samsung gt-s5300. I'm planning to buy the same phone like this but I can't find it in the market (because it's phased out or not available). By christmas I will buy Samsung GT-S5360 (even if I have much money I don't like luxurious phones).
After some months of use , one day i turned on my android box and suddenly after loading it will give a black screen and there is nothing else after that, i tried to reinstall firmware through a SD card but it stuck in the installing/loading with a "x" on the android green man.
Now i would like to ask for a help from someone that is familiar with unbricking, i'll provide pictures of my H96 so you can see it from inside and tell me HOW CAN I SHORT CUT or whatever i need to do. (because i saw different hardware and different devices)
May i use 9.0 android version?
This is my android box:

Download the correct firmware from here:https://www.h96tvbox.com/content/6-Firmware-upgrade
Probably you have LPDDR3 memory so ONLY this firmware is suitable for your TVbox. If you had 8DDR3 type of memory you could use both firmwares (those for 8DDR3 & LPDDR3).
Also please describe how you exactly are using USB Burning Tool and the short pins method (the whole sequence).

Actually i don't use short pins, because when i connect my h96 to the PC via the USB cable it automatically gives a connection success, so i just use some firmware, i used the firmware from the official site, but still doesnt work , it always get stuck at 9%.

1. Did you try the official Android 9.0 version (stock firmware) for the LPDDR3 memory as I told you above?
It is this version https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16qCsIFbGDSgopwJ3zEBQ4iLC_wLEbLVV
So did you try this version?
2. If after trying number (1) your TVbox is not brought to life, this means that it is hard bricked and your best option is the "short pin" method.

the stock firmware links are down
Few monthes ago, some 9R devices were killed by an mistake of 1+ commpany, this is link
[GUIDE] How to Avoid Killing Your OnePlus 8 Pro / 8T / 9R with OxygenOS 12 / ColorOS 12
As You can see, recently we started seeing more and more threads complaining about OxygenOS 12 killing people's devices. I lost my 8 Pro the same way few months ago and we finally know what caused this! ANSWER - THE BOOTLOADER! Massive Update...
forum.xda-developers.com
As we know,if wana flash stock ,must get into 9008/edl mode, but due to reason above link, the killed devices bricked and can not get into EDL mode(usually it should work with vol+ & power button),yeah, totally hard brick,my devices was one of those
Now, there is way to fix those devices with "engineering mode cable",this cable will take over the functhion of "vol & power button" and thus make devices boot into 9008 mode directly
Usually vol+ power button send signal to motherboard to boot edl,but due to above link “send signal to motherboard” is wasted,if press the button of this cable the cable will send the signal directly.
it cost mine 19RMB (2.76 USD) on taobao to by this,I used to modify a normal microusb cable into an engineering cable,I think typec is the same(for press button the cable is engineering mode,if not pressed it‘s normal typec, the pressed button just make 2 of 3 lines inner the cable connected) ,just google how to make engineering cable if you do not want buy one

Thank you for this thread. I also solved my issue recently using "HYDRA CABLE - V2". It seems like the problems arises by flashing wrong .xbl images to the device.
