My note 8 was at 7% battery and it suddenly off and i am trying to turn on but it is not turning on. I have tried volume down + power button but nothing happen. Put it on charging for long time but not working. When i connect to computer through USB cable connecting sound ring but mobile not responding but in Device Mananger -> Ports(COM & LPT) -> Qualcomm HS-USB QDLOADER 9008(COM9) showing. Please help!
Try put on wireless charging pad while also charging via USB C port.. Keep monitoring, don't leave unattended! Once you see phone is indeed charging, stick with one charging method only.
This is a known issue that affects some Note 8s & S8/S8+. These threads should help.

None of my computers seem to recognize when I plug my tablet in while in Download mode, and while my desktop seems to activate the appropriate MTP notification when the tab is plugged in during normal use, my laptop just starts charging it, and doesn't even seem to recognize the thing.
Neither of my computers even make a noise to signify I've plugged something in when plugging in in Download mode.
Just got a Galaxy S3 a few days ago, everything was going fine. Transferring music to my phone from my MacBook Pro using Android File Transfer. Half way through the app stops transferring and I have to force quit on my laptop. Now when I reattach my usb cable I get the following message: "No Android device found Please connect your Android device with a USB cable to get started" My cable is connected, my phone is charging, but the phone is not showing that it is connected (no usb in notifications, can't choose between MTP/PTP...) So I can't continue to transfer my music I restarted both my MacBook Pro and phone. I tried to see if its my phone by connecting to my dock in my car and everything works fine, my Car Home Ultra app opens and works fine. HELP please. How can I get my phone to recognize my cpu via USB? It was working fine, but now nothing other than charging. I read on another thread too toggle USB debugging in developer options, tried both to no avail. Help please, I am an Android noob.

Hello there,
I plug in a USB to my Tab (p7510 , stock ICS 4.0.4) to listen to music located on my USB using the Samsung USB connector. After I unplug both usb and connector, I see under battery in settings that my device is constantly awake. Does anyone know the reason for this and how to solve it? Is it something to do with Mediaserver (it has a use detail of stay awake)?
Thank You
Michael
I am having an issue where my S9+ intermittently disconnects from USB devices. Done the obvious thing of trying multiple USB leads but this does not change anything.
Flying a DJI drone that uses an android app connected via USB to a remote control unit. Maybe one in ten flights the USB feed from the Remote Control to the S9+ gets cut, making flight control problematic.
VW car with inbuilt Android Auto occasionally loses the USB connection and stops functioning.
In both instances no amount of re-plugging the USB C lead or rebooting the phone or android app fixes the issue. However as far as I can tell, in all cases power cycling the connected device, be it the Remote control for the UAV or the the VW radio (Car off for several minutes), immediately fixes the issue.
Does any body have an idea of what would cause the S9+ behave like this. Chopping the USB out of the blue. Seemingly the S9+ no longer recognises the specific device that is in plugged in to it and the associated app UNTIL the peripheral device is power cycled. Could this be the "Optimize Battery Usage" function running amok. Have disabled it for both apps but it is too early to tell if it has fixed it .
