Alright ladies and gentlemen, I am glad to finally bring you the Evervolv series of ROM's. This is an alpha build, however most, if not all items should be working. I'm going to keep this post vague and update it when the rom becomes beta worthy.
This rom would not be possible without the CM team, so i give them props any time i can.

Everything should be working as of now (with the small except to the Brightness widget, it's functionality is there... but the UI updating is not just yet). The Nexus One i have has no sim card, so i can't test everything. However English is the main supported language, if google hasn't added the language support, i haven't either. This means certain apps will have no support at all (i.e. Evervolv Settings). If there is someone that would like to contribue the efforts to languages, we'd be more than happy to have you aboard.
Screenshots of the ROM in action can be seen Here - Screenshots

Make sure to do a full wipe, even if you're coming from an older build, just to make sure. Also, flash Google Apps that are also on that download page.

Q&A
Is this CM7?
No, this is a build that started from AOSP. However, some of the fixes and few features have been derived from the CyanogenMod Team, including the CM kernel.
How social is the evervolv team?
You can join us on IRC, irc.freenode.net #evervolv. Or follow myself and the status of Evervolv @preludedrew on twitter.

Nice, I am flashing now and will check it out.
Looks good and feels good aswell, but trackballwake is needed.
Why not. I haven't tried anything Gingerbread yet (been faithful to Rod's MIUI the last few months).
I'll download and check it out!

agree with this... this rom already support app2sd??
Liking so far. Its a breath of fresh air. Just something nice and new, really smooth and responsive.
It appears a2sd is not there? Maybe I'm wrong but under settings it said ext (unavailable).
Also, its a little eh that I can't change the dock settings (I know I can use LauncherPro and I probably will but I was trying to avoid that) because I use Chomp and DolphinHD so those dock shortcuts are useless.
Screen off animation is SWEET and boot animation is stellar.
Overall, seems very solid for a first release. I'll stick with it for now, assuming camera and camcorder work (I'm headed out to Sea World with the wife and son today/tomorrow so I need a functioning camera).
Great job and great release. I'll report back more Monday night when I get home and have used it for a few days.
Does this rom have the "wonk" problem? With nightly Rom I still have lots of problems

You say you've added trackball wake etc, but there is no new download link?
Have you just updated the file but not renamed?

I would communicate that as its a bit missleading
Also the capacitive buttons do not light up on mine. Full wiped twiced and same issue.

Great rom. I love the font and bootanimation. Wish the rom had a2sd.

OK, so after a few days use I'm noticing a few things.
Battery life seems to be average, nothing special. I hardly used it at all as I was on a small vacation (didn't make any phone calls, hardly text at all, didn't take pictures, surfed the web very very lightly) and my battery would very quickly drop to the 80's in % and beyond. Although, this could possibly be associated to my next thing.
When charging, light on top is green (fully charged) when it hits 90% battery. It does continue charging to 100% but I found that very odd that it turns green to indicate full when its at 90%...
As stated, the font is very nice too. Everything overall seems smooth, especially for a first release. I'd be nice to see new releases soon, of course with a change log etc.
Looking forward to see what is to come.
crDroid is a ROM that tries to unite the best features available today but also maintaining maximum stability and battery life.
At the moment we are based on CyanogenMod with many cherry-picks from other great projects like SlimRoms, AOSPA, OmniRom among others…
Installation:
before flashing, full backup inclidin efs partition is necessary.
if you switch from stock rom, full wipe is necessary.
flash with custom recovery
this rom doesnt have gapps included
this rom has own root support, but supersu installation is recommended
bugs:
poor audio quality in voice calls
gps is not woking
nfc is not working
audio problems in whatsapp
equalizer is not working
otg is not working
problems with video codecs
If you use sim card with pin code, phone will stay in loop on the " unlock sim card "

I haven`t install it...but why is so important the Antutu score? Would you prefer to have a fully working ROM with decent Antutu score or a ROM full of bugs with high Antutu score? Just install it and you will have all your questions answers. And maybe you will help also the developer to improve the ROM stability by reporting any bugs that you will find!

Hello,
I've noticed a few bugs so far:
- when recording video, it all seems fine but when you are viewing it its HUE changes, for instance my walls in real life are red but in the video itself they are blue (idk what that is)
- sometimes it cant connect to the camera (noticed it happens when you switch from video to camera)
- metallic sound in calls
Best regards,
James

Also lots of features dont work (crDroid features) such as double press home button for camera, or double pressing doesnt work at all.
Could you please provide a download link for Samsung apps such as S Health and Samsung account? No point of having sensors that we cant use

So what man?
You can still update the ROM for Samsung Galaxy Alpha... it doesn't change anything just make sure this ROM has no bugs at all and its gonna be all good.
Although I am going back to 4.4.4 KitKat since its more stable and has a use of all these silly sensors and other stuff as well (5.0.1 is coming this month so theres no point of making any ROM's at all) JUST JOKING, I'll be using this ROM until a stable 5.0.1 ROM from Samsung is released!
Best regards,
James

Unfortunately...
Hey, so I've seen a lot of people talking about how good XX ROM is and it's better than YY because of something. Also another problem being the question of best ROM.
I'd like to say something: Everyone has their own thinking and point of view, so something's that's not important to you might be imporrtant to someone else, so making judgements like this is better than that is all dependant from person to person. We all know that no two mind think alike. These types of questions discourage developers so please it's my humble request to not post / compare ROMs calling them bad / good. If you don't like a feature then don't use it. Same goes for the ROM. If you can help improve then you most probably can via github or gerrit as some ROMs provide. With that being said. Thanksfor the time to read this post.
I kind of agree. I much prefer to see descriptions with a list of pros and cons rather than a simple "this ROM is better because I like these aspects"

Going to give it ago again tonight... I week or so ago I tried it and had very odd behaviors. Likely just a bad flash (sounds odd, but it does happen) and went back to Oxygen... is there any differences between the UNOFFICIAL and OFFICIAL builds?
How is it that even a thread specifically made to tell people not to ask questions about which rom is best, turns into a rom advice thread.

mm don't know if there is a difference, there is not much out there, i'm using official , last stable, only negative, are random crash apps, most of all google apps... and have to reboot, but the battery life is very very good.
Won't make a separate thread for this but I'll ask here - what are 2-4 most popular ROMs for the OP2 going around nowadays? I've been using Exodus ROM for a long time and I really liked it, but the latest update was November 11th and it looks like the developers have moved on. The ROM is fine, and there's really nothing that I'm missing, but there are some stability issues with random reboots and force close and this is the longest I've gone without updating/changing something so I'm looking to try something new. I want to look into a few different options and read others' reviews and look into features and stuff, but it would be great if you guys could narrow down my search to the few most popular/well known/most supported roms that are currently available.

Well, basically i do just need someone who Maintains a Thread with Me and My Team Mate here. I want to have someone who owns the Device to get advanced Reports and to have someone who Quotes Me on the Thread if Problems appear (Can be Device Specific).
If anyone is interested enough i will start a Thread which the Maintainer gets invited to. So let's Go! :highfive:
This definitely looks interesting, I'd love to see it take off!

But Yes, it should work on Stock. BUT YOu need to add Init.d Support if YOu want to use the given Scripts like Battery Calibration and Play Services battery drain Fix.
Another thing are the GApps. The LIGHT PATCH comes with Optimized GApps for 7.1. If You are on 7.1 YOu're good to go. If not, You should pre download a GApp Pack for Your Android Version to install it after the Patch. That should be all. And like always, do clean flashs! lol

I'm still playing around with some things. Ended up doing a complete clean flash of RR, Magisk 13, and this again this morning, so I haven't had too much time to just dive into everything just yet. Just tested sound over speakers though, and it sounds great. Still gotta see how battery fares.
If you opt to let the patch install Gapps, they're very minimal, and you'll end up installing most of them from the Play Store, but that gives you the option to keep whichever ones you want. There are also a ton of lib files, and some add-ons from Sony and HTC that are worth checking out. Will give a more detailed post after I've had more time to mess around.
I'm interested too.
A list with some information of the benefits would still be good.

Glad to hear it runs! Well, there are hundreds of Features and goodies in this Baby. I'm working on Android since almost 7 Years and the Patch is the Product of enhancing custom ROMs to something more than that. Calling it a Mod is like calling a Operation on a Brain slaughtering lol
I will try to explain it a bit.
The Light Patch is the 3rd Version of My Patch System. The Multi Device Support is caused by excluding the Device specific Firmware from the customization which i usually would do with a ROM. The advantages of that are independent OS updates, Multi Device Support, Features which You can't get with AOSP, and it is better to develop than usual Mods or ROMs.
We have planned to create a own AOSP OS and some Apps in the Future which will include the advanced research behind the Patch and everything what i do. It is really hard for Me to describe all that. But i'm going to enhance My Project together with a new Partner and the Light Patch is the first Step on that Way. There will come for sure more Infos, Videos and all possible Things over the Time. And don't run away cause of my English! My Partner speaks a lot better English than Me, so the overall Quality will come over the Time. I'll let him do all the Social stuff here so i can focus on the development (finally). The Main Team is growing and our Maintainers will also get a place in our Org. We will soon have a own Domain with G Suite Service and everything looks bright for our Project.
I hope that wasn't to much bad English for One Post  Just take a look on My very long Changelog and try the Patch. You will not regret it, it is 100% stable if You follow the given Instructions

I decided to try it out of curiosity, pretty much because I flash a lot, and try to stay open to new things. I'm a tinkerer, and I guess that's just part of my fidgety nature. Lol. But, as there's no official maintainer or posts in the development section for our device yet, and English isn't the developers first language, it seems that either flashing or waiting for response from people that have are the best way to get information for now. But if you download the zip and browse through it, there are a lot of things there that should theoretically add to the user experience.

okay, i tested this gem and as it turns out, there are no bugs what-so-ever
the only downside is that there is small lack of customization options, but i believe this is due to the nature of slimroms. altho i can remember having a lot more customization options on older versions
anyway, its a great rom
the battery is amazing, so is the performance

but when the display is off or ur not doing a lot of stuff, the battery is really good
actually, the battery almolst doesnt drop at all when the device is off (locked screen, stuff like bluetooth and wifi off)
Tried out Slim for a while yesterday. Performance and smoothness were both there, so great work.
Can't say anything about battery since I diden't use it long enough to get any reliable stats.
Cheers and thanks
by testing. works quickly, without glitches. found only a few minuses:
1. second SIM card does not work
2. There are no soft-button settings.
a310f slim rom

only bug is the auto brightness level
thank you developer.

Hi guys, just a small SlimROM release
I post here because it's a simple testing build (a bigger and more important is in testing, this rom was just a test and will not be maintained)

Hope you'll like this rom while i'm working on the big project
please don't ask me ETA and questions about the "project", this is actually a surprise
