Pretty self explanatory; Looking for a way to install Dolby on a phone with SELinux enforcing and no root. On a beta Oreo build and can't root it yet. On top of no root, it has a locked bootloader (not unlockable)
I do however, have a debug recovery, so I can run adb as root. So I can push files.
It may not have been done yet, but any ideas? I know it worked on Nougat. Any help is appreciated!

I have a Xiaomi Redmi 3s and I would like to have selinux to permissive on boot. I have systemless root so the command
To make root work on boot seems to be a bit different.
I tried using kernel auditor but that doesn't seem to work.
So, I have a vivo y55 (marshmallow, 6.0.1), which I BADLY want to root. I know that vivo is considered as 'unrootable', and no guide is present to fully root a vivo device, but yet, I managed to install twrp and installed xposed framework on it.
The problem comes when I try to root it. Installing magisk results in a bootloop, but installing supersu doesn't do so, but I still get no root. On running su in terminal, I get 'operation not permitted' error.
On checking the kernel logs, I saw that the process 'daemonsu' exits with status 0. Is that normal?
The strange thing is, placing scripts in su.d folder DO work (I've only tested the one which makes selinux permissive, though). And after booting the supersu-modified boot.img, the phone doesn't recognize if it's been connected to a computer, so it only keeps on charging, and adb doesn't work, too. All I want to ask is, is there a solution?
Hey I just picked up this phone and decided I would like to maximize it to its fullest potential, and root it as I have done with previous phones. This ones giving me a hard time, and I just can't seem to find the proper info for it.
I have unlocked the bootloader, flashed TWRP 3.1.1 and want to gain root access. I have followed several guides, used every possible one-click unsuccessfully, and tried installing SuperSU with TWRP. After I reboot, SuperSU is installed. I'll open it up and it tells me the binaries are occupied. I've tried downgrading and updating the binaries but I get errors. (I believe this is because it must be rooted first - of course.)
So I'm stuck unable to get any further. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it. Is this phone with this configuration unrootable? There must be a way if I have recovery right?
Asus Zenfone 4 Z01KD/ZE554KL
Android Nougat 7.1.1 - 14.1060.1708.63 (NOT 1708.70)
TWRP 3.1.1 installed
One thing I have not tried is using Magisk. When I try it, it stops because I already patched with SuperSU (even though it failed). I never backed up before I did it with SuperSU I really thought it would work.
I read of people doing it with Magisk after updating to Oreo. I want to give that a try but I can't OTA or flash from TWRP. All attempts result in error 7.
I can't find a stock recovery to flash to do the update either. Is there a way to undo this, OTA and repatch with Magisk? Even if I don't bother updating, I would like to find a stock image to flash so I can try patching with Magisk.
Stock rom recovery.img anywhere? Am I alone?
i dont own this device but i read this and it might apply to you. also did you flash the supersu uninstaller and them try magisk?

I just noticed that my kenzo bypasses safetynet on lineage os 15.1 20180323 build by lokmansiu. I can install Netflix from playstore, run super Mario run and pokemon go without any problems, also tested on safetynet test app. But I cant understand how is this possible provided I didnt even install magisk.
though I have not rooted the rom,
my bootloader is locked(used edl mode to flash twrp and then the rom)
can anyone plz tell if this is even normal??

No root = no problem.
You only fail SafetyNet if you use SuperSU to root your phone or forget to use Magisk Hide when rooting using Magisk.
SafetyNet also fails if you use Xposed Framework

But i always use custom ROMs without root and still the safetynet test still always failed
The only difference between this and previous scenario is that my bootloader is locked and the selinux in this ROM is hopefully enforcing...are they the reason?
how did you install twrp in edl mode with bootloader locked?

Follow the instruction from this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xExKvog5RP4
Tip: You can install twrp version of your choice. Just download twrp of your choice and rename it to recovery.img and place it in TWRP_ZCX/images folder (delete existing recovery.img file inside the image folder).
This method doesnot unlock the bootloader.

I don't know why but it didn't work for me. Still uncertified.
I recommend you flash Magisk to enable root access. Then use it with its "hide detection" feature (it is the default setting). It will mask your root access and unlocked bootloader from SafetyNet detection. Have a try.

Because selinux is finally set as enforcing. Probably next updates of other roms will be enforcing too

Because new build comes with selinux = enforcing
That means you are good to go
If that is permissive then you'll get error in bypassing safety net without magisk.
May I ask if use this method and later on want to revert back to a completely stock Miui ROM how do I do that on my kenzo device. Do I just use the mi flash tool and flash the original stock ROM back?
Hello. I have unlocked bootloader, root and TWRP recovery. Any permissive kernel for this device ? Switch App don't work. I want to install viper audio but in enforcing kernel state drivers don't work/install correctly. Any ideas?
