My smart cover (original Samsung - EF-WG925BBEG) stopped working - what I mean is that the display doesn't turn on automatically when I open the cover. Is there a specific setting to toggle this behavior (I wasn't able to find this in the settings).
Hints are much appreciated. thx
Searched various places, but couldn't find the solution.
My A5 automatically goes to s cover view mode randomly. Is their any way to switch off s cover mode permanently? I have seen in many sites to disable sview/suspendwindow.apk etc. But couldn't find any of these system apps. I am running my phone in lolipop & rooted. please help.
I'm having same issue did you fix it?
It seems, that the Always on Display isn't always on, when using the Smart View Flip Case.
When I close the Flipcover, then the displayed time, etc. go off after few seconds.
NFC is on and the smart case option with window is enabled.
Without the case, the always on display is off only, when something hiding the light sensor.
With the smart cover, when the flpcover hides it, the display is off.
Is there any option, that enables the AOD with the flipcase?

I tried
Same for me with the same case
Wow....too bad I didn't see this before ordering my case. Just received it today, and experiencing the same issue. AlwaysOnDisplay is clearly marked as enabled, but the smart cover only displays info for a few seconds and then goes off. Is there not a switch somewhere to make this cover stay on? I don't really care how often I need to recharge the device, so saving battery is not an issue for me. I want to be able to simply glance at the phone's smart cover and quickly see what I need to know without touching the phone. Oddly enough, without the smart cover, the AOD works just fine. Guess the "smart cover" is not too smart after all.
Flip case
I have the same problem. I contacted Huawei who said that their sample didn't have the same issue and the display is always on in the case window. I haven't been able to find a retailer with a Mate 10 Pro to test whether this is a problem with the case or with the phone.
Same issue on the P20 Pro / Smart Cover, have tweeted them but expect little response.
Same Problem with the mate 10 pro
Guys, there is a setting for it disabling screen if put in your pocket. the phone thinks the case is in your pocket. Try turninf off the Touch Disable mode switch located under smart Assistance. that or try the smart cover settings.
Hello everyone,
I have been using the "Samsung LED View Cover" for my Galaxy S9 for a while. Normally the lock screen pops off when I open the cover, but occasionally the lock screen stays on, and then I have to unlock with my finger. This is not really a disaster if it happens occasionally. But since yesterday my lock screen always stays on when I open the cover. And that is very annoying. I have no idea why this is, and I have not changed anything in the settings. Does anyone have problems with this? Can anyone help me?
Tnx.
Hi,
Maybe somebody is able to Help me. Since a longer time, when I am closing the keyboard cover, the tab does not lock itself and the screen does not go into sleep mode. Even more interesting: the screen switches on, when it was off, when the cover will be closed. I tried the functionality in safe mode and the cover functions as expected. So the behaviour is induced by an app.
Having many apps on the tab it is very time consuming deinstalling, checking and reinstalling every app. Maybe someone has a hint for me how to find this app in a very short time frame. Otherwise which right is needed, by an app, to influence the magnetic lock.
Thanks for your help,
Chris
