Is there a way to access advanced service menu (*#2683662#) without rooting? Because i don't wanna lose samsung pay and warranty
There are more than one such "secrete menu" numbers. Most common one is *#0*# from the dial pad. There are also *#0011#, *#7353#, etc.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE ANY CHANGE unless you know what you are doing.

But i am asking about advanced service menu where you can lock lte bands, choose CA combination etc.
*#2683662#
I know the code but when i dial it i get a black screen and no options
Different CSC has different short codes to access this service menu. Mine is *#2263#
When I tried *#2683662# comes out same as yours, blank screen.

So do u know the code for indian csc? Because *#2263# doesn't work for me and are you able to access advanced service menu with *#2263#?
I tried to access *#0*# to check the touchscreen but the dialer just attempted to dial the number (unlocked S9+ on Verizon). Is there another code that will allow me access to testing the touchscreen?

I got the Verizon Note 8 and flashed the T-Mobile firmware using the carrier change tutorial here. It has all the T-Mobile branding but it still has traces of Verizon:
1. download mode has CSC of VZW
2.settings -> about phone service provider SW ver it says TMB/TMB/VZW
How do I get those 2 changed to TMB so it is 100% like a phone that came from T-Mobile?
The 3rd code is the original CSC for the phone & can't be changed.... well unless you have root you can try.
Why do you want to change it? It won't really affect anything.
Do have root that doesn't break the Knox flag?
Generally yes but I don't know what variant you have. Assuming you have a US U variant then no but the current root method has other drawbacks to be considered.

I'm not sure exactly, I never looked into it much. IIRC you have to edit nv files in the efs folder. Mine is TMB/TMB/XEF, I never cared really as there's no reason to try & change it. The first 2 are all that really matters.
If you follow the guide correctly you can completely change your phone to a different carrier. I got my Note8 from Xfinity, canceled service and got it unlocked. I followed the guide here and now have a phone with firmware exactly the same as a Verizon Note8, no traces of the Xfinity firmware.

This last CSC code is hardcoded in the device to show where was originally bought it will never change without root.
Easy fix if you're rooted....but not worth rooting if that's all you want to change....however you could root, then change the value and then return to stock unrooted and the setting will stick.

Edit the 3 letter code in the sales_code.dat (the one in the carrier folder phone is)
Example i have a tmobile branded phone to change i would navigate to /system/omc/TMB/etc and in the "etc" folder open sales_code.dat with text editor and change the 3 letter code to what you want.

This information is stored in the EFS partition as this code is the original provider of the phone.
You can change it but is a bit risky losing IMEI.
I dont know how. This might help

Have you tried that & does it actually change the 3rd CSC? Cause that's not the way to change it that I'm aware of. My sales_code.dat is TMB but my 3rd CSC has always been XEU.

The 3rd CSC is stored in the EFS partition but it's not the ones in /efs/imei, I believe the third CSC is stored in the nv files & I think the 3rd CSC is the same as what shows up in download mode.
I still don't understand why the OP wants to change this, it won't really affect anything.
Well I saw the update in France [XEF] yesterday and wanted it right then! So I searched all the forums and finally found a good way and now my unlocked Galaxy Note 8[NON Rooted] is running Oreo with INS CSC.
Made this guide so that people can find this method easily.
Keep in mind that flashing your device is always risky and I DO NOT take any responsibility if you mess up the procedure and damage your device.
Method:
>
Download the latest BRB2 Firmware from here https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=67BFD0E620FF11E89F15FA163EE8F90B OR https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note8/SM-N950F/XEF/
Flash it using Odin[3.12.3] [ MAKE SURE THAT ONLY AUTO REBOOT & F.RESET TIME options are checked in the 'Options' tab of ODIN]
After flashing is complete reboot into system and run through the setup, after that remove your SIM & SDCARD and open the phone app. Dial *#272*YOUR IMEI NUMBER# to open the list of CSCs. [to get your IMEI dial *#06#]
Select the XEF CSC, it will ask to reboot and reset the device, let it do the same.
After the device reboots then check for software updates manually and you'll get OREO.
After installing oreo put your sim and sdcard back in, it will tell you to reset the device, DO IT as its necessary to restore your original CSC.
That's it
Now you have OREO, Non rooted and stock oreo.

The option you're referring to is now housed in Preconfig.
