Start the phone without sim and then dial #7465625*638*# and enter the code.

You would also need to flash a none Claro firmware.

Hi everyone,
I have bought a new Unlocked ( by imei ) ATT ATRIX from ebay. Everything's perfect . I am using it on my country ( in South America ) with my own mobile's carrier. So, my question is.... Once I unlock the bootloader and then flash a new rom ( as cm10 by joker or anything else ) I would like to hear from you guys ( international users like me ) if After flashing a new rom you have to UNLOCK the att carrier like when It was on stock rom. I am afraid of the phone to ask me the unlock code after flashing a new rom for first time .
Thank you guys.
IMEI unlock, especially if done by the original carrier itself (like AT&T) is virtually permanent and irreversible no matter what you do. I called AT&T and they gave me the SIM unlock code for my (american-based) Atrix. After unlocking it with that code I did all sorts of things with the phone (rooted, booted, flashed, wiped, flashed again...) and I never had to so much as even think of the SIM ever being locked. I am also using it outside the US.

Well, It wasnt done by the original carrier. The seller did it ( I think he just bought the imei code from anyone and did it by himself ). There shouldnt be a difference, right?
Thank you.

No you shouldn't have a problem, I too bought the unlock code from eBay. I am using the phone in India and flashed nearly all the roms out there, even dual booting now, never had to enter the unlock code again.

Yes, there shouldn't be any.
I bought mine from ebay as well and got it unlocked with code from a ebay seller and it worked as a charm now no problem after repeatedly flashing every week.

Hello XDA!,
I'm having a problem with my GT-I9300, I installed TurkbeyROM v14, and made a fresh install but now i dont have mobile signal when i use the app Sim Card, it says NETWORK LOCKED, can the problem be the CSC? im actually on TDR (Dominican Republic) but my carriers CSC is DOR (Orange Dominicana), I tried using Galaxy Sim Unlock app and Voodoo and no luck, and the cell phone doesnt ask me for sim network unlock code, is there a way i can solve this problem? could be the CSC?
Thanks in Advanced,
Carlos
CSC does not lock the sim and plays no part in sim lock .
Some JB updates can undo some sim locks its well posted on the forum .

I have read everything in the forum and still no luck trying to make it work if the CSC doesnt have anything to do with this lock what could be locking the sim card? or maybe if i install different modems maybe it could work? i tried also the nv_data.bin method and no luck, also bought an unlock from fastgsm and didnt unlocked either, I'll have to go back to ics? no way to get the mobile signal working?
Thanks for your comment!
Carlos
Hey , I just bought(not from store a sch-i545).Im from east europe(Romania) but my sim is working fine even if i get the message non-verizon sim in notification menu.
Is there any risk to update? risks like:cannot use anymore my cosmote sim card.
And how can I find out if the phone is unlocked by factory or the person who sold me the phone unlocked him:-??
What is the baseband in More->About phone?

Yes, you can update, and it'll still accept the non-Verizon SIM. I've seen no indication that Verizon wants to sim-lock these phones.

I recently bought an unlocked LG G2 mini from the LG store on Amazon, and to my horror, it wasn't exactly unlocked. I tried to input an unlock code via dialing 2945#*618# but when I get to the SIM unlock process page and click any of the options (Network lock, Service provider Lock, NetworkSubset lock, Corporate lock or SIM/USIM lock) all say the same thing: "This phone is permanently locked and cannot be unlocked." The network carrier is marked 'unknown' and I'm trying to use it with a T-mobile SIM card. Is there anything I can do??
Thanks in advance,
Cat

Vagelis which one is the best? Do you know the difference between italy 10g and 10j? Actually as long as they can both be rooted does not really matter.
