i have a galaxy ace Unlocked (that's what i think) my phone has The myth advance
the screenshot shows that i have it unlocked but when i put another sim card from other company it asks me to ENTER NETWORK LOCK CONTROL my phone was from telcel(mexico) the new SIM its from T-mobile (USA)
Did you buy it straight from telcel?, if its that the case, then its not unlocked.

NOw im trying to put a New Firmware to see if ti works im trying KPD
i dont think changing firmware would unlock the phone, but let some one else answer that 'cuz i really dont know, good luck!
Its Alive, Works.
First i had the myth advance but it wanted me to introduce the code, then i change to telcel and said Locked Network but then i change to the FW KPD and it works and when i restore The myth advance it works.
Wierd, lol, but hey, you make it to work...

Hey guys,
Im about to buy a SGS2 from the US...I'm in Canada on Rogers. The seller said that the S2 is flashed to Cricket mobile, can I still sim unlock it and use it on Rogers?
is there anything else i'd have to do? such as restore the phone? what would be the easiest way to get rid of the cricket flash? Kies? ODIN?
The seller also stated it was blocked from sprint. Will this effect me?
Thanks so much!

Thanks,
I knew I could unlock it...but I just want to make sure the other things won't hold the phone back from working, such as the flash to cricket and the blocked from sprint

When i got my xperia x10 the android version was 2.3.x (i dont know the last number any more), but i couldnt use it with my new sim-card (different provider), so i took it to a store where a guy sim-unlocked it and when i got it back the android version was 2.1.1-update..........but it was sim-unlocked, i then asked this guy if i could update it to 2.3.x or if it would be locked again after the update........he didn't really seem to know but told me not to update because it would relock just as an iphone does he said.......but as i said before, he didnt really seem to know.
So my question is, will it be sim-locked again after i update to 2.3.x (with pc-companion) or not, i really need to be absolutely sure, i dont want to pay (35€) again.
Thanks in advance

Not 100% but no don't think it will re-lock. I'd get a definitive yes or no though I don't want to ruin your phone (as I said, not 100%)

thanks but the problem is that the guy i bought the phone from (not the one in the shop!) told me it was unlocked and he just updated it before he gave it to me and he could still use it with two different sim-cards from two different providers, but i couldnt use it with my sim-card (3rd other provider).........he didnt know why it didnt work with my sim-card, but after the guy in the shop downgraded it to android 2.1 and sim-unlocked it (again???) it worked,..........so i am actually a bit confused because everyone except of the guy in the shop tells me it wont relock but it seems that it has relocked (to 2 different providers???) after the guy i bought it from updated it..........CONFUSIIIIIING
Thats why i really need to be a 100% sure, maybe i need a real expert?!
Mine was unlocked and 2.1 had the same dilema but upgraded it anyway and it remained unlocked....
Thats my story anyway if it helps.
Edit: maybe it's unclear but mine was locked and unlocked just as yours
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
ok, but are there different ways to unlock the x10, because i dont know how mine was unlocked, by code or something else (patch or something, i really dont know), this could possibly make a difference in relocking......?

Download s1tool this will tell u the state of ur bootloader. (read op with it, I never used it)
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
What does the bootloader have to do with the sim-lock? I dont care if my bootloader is locked or unlocked, i just care about if i can still use my sim-card after an update to 2.3.3 or not, but maybe i misunderstood your reply, if so i'm sorry^^
I really need to be sure that it wont (sim-)relock after the update, so is there someone who can tell me for sure why it wont relock or why it will relock?
OK i now received a reply of the service center of sony ericcson, they also told me that the sim-lock would be there again after an update, they told me to bring the phone to the shop again and let them do the update, but thats not possible according to the guy in the shop.
OK, i finally did the update and it remained unlocked......NIIIICE

Ok if u flash ur fone to 2.3 ur fone will accept any card, mine was locked to vodafone, flashed it originally so i could get 2.3 from 2,1 and i have reinstalled the stock software from sony and there where no vodafone items on use the flash tool to do this instead of getting someone to sim unlock, generic android is best way (Not held responsible if device is damaged in anyway)

Hi everyone,
I have bought a new Unlocked ( by imei ) ATT ATRIX from ebay. Everything's perfect . I am using it on my country ( in South America ) with my own mobile's carrier. So, my question is.... Once I unlock the bootloader and then flash a new rom ( as cm10 by joker or anything else ) I would like to hear from you guys ( international users like me ) if After flashing a new rom you have to UNLOCK the att carrier like when It was on stock rom. I am afraid of the phone to ask me the unlock code after flashing a new rom for first time .
Thank you guys.
IMEI unlock, especially if done by the original carrier itself (like AT&T) is virtually permanent and irreversible no matter what you do. I called AT&T and they gave me the SIM unlock code for my (american-based) Atrix. After unlocking it with that code I did all sorts of things with the phone (rooted, booted, flashed, wiped, flashed again...) and I never had to so much as even think of the SIM ever being locked. I am also using it outside the US.

Well, It wasnt done by the original carrier. The seller did it ( I think he just bought the imei code from anyone and did it by himself ). There shouldnt be a difference, right?
Thank you.

No you shouldn't have a problem, I too bought the unlock code from eBay. I am using the phone in India and flashed nearly all the roms out there, even dual booting now, never had to enter the unlock code again.

Yes, there shouldn't be any.
I bought mine from ebay as well and got it unlocked with code from a ebay seller and it worked as a charm now no problem after repeatedly flashing every week.

Firstly apologies if this is in the wrong topic or been asked before
My dad has a Galaxy S2 on TMobile UK and it works well.
I originally bought it last year, it was unlocked as it worked when I stuck my 3 SIM card in.
The device was then rooted and then I flashed this leaked JB Rom
Today my dad got a new Ovivo network SIM but the device said SIM unregistered, oddly enough so did my 3 SIM give the unregistered SIM when I tried it and was asking for a SIM network unlock code
But when I tried both SIMs in my Optimus 4x they worked fine.
My first thought was maybe the ROM flash re-activated the Network lock.
So I rooted the S2 and flashed another ROM but still only the TMobile SIM works and the other SIMs get the Unregistered SIM messages
I also tried some unlocking apps like Galaxy S2 SIM unlock, and Galaxy S unlock but to no avail
Can a network lock "reactivate" itself? and would I have to contact TMobile to unlock the device?

I was sure I had tried that one but thought, what the hell lets try it again.
What I did last night was flashed the device back to UK generic stock ICS and let it update itself to stock JB
This morning I rooted the device and installed that APK on Mr Killers post.
Lo and behold one touch and it was unlocked!!!
Thank you very much!!

No Problem dude
that APK is from XDA which is working 100% the version which is on Google Play needs you to pay and then it unlocks
Gotta say as well it was really quick!!
The other unlock apps take time and try generating a code. This was just root and one touch unlock

But with the lastest version of app, it says that the device isn't unlock...
Root your device & unlock it again.
Sent from the little guy
My device is already root, i've the CM10.1 since 5/6 months x). But with ICS (CM9) I had already unlock my phone but with JB, he's left...
Unlock it again, you're not making any sense.
Galaxysim unluck will permanently unlock your device.

You're right, I tried it and it works.
Anyway it's a paid solution: Costs 3,69 EURO and it unlocks Samsung Galaxy S2 in an instant.
Latest Android 4.1.2 it doesn't matter after all. All you need to have before installing GalaxSim Unlock is SuperSU and BusyBox, these 2 are mandatory for a good functioning of GalaxSim application.
Thanks u So much
