Hi
This is probably the noobiest question.. I am new to the android scene and am clueless. My GS2 comes in today, so excited!!
So I will root it when i get it. Just wondering, is the rooting method the same for every firmware version or does it change as new firmwares come out?
And can someone PLEASE link me to a detailed root guide for the GS2. Keep i mind i am new to the android scene.
Thanks in advance guys!!
As to date, rooting works the same. You flash a pre-rooted rom, or only a rooted kernel. Until Samsung would suddenly lock their bootloaders nothing will change. Luckily Samsung likes the Android community, so they'll keep it easy for us to root.
Ok. So every time i upgrade to a new firmware.. I just use the same root guide and it will work.?
Can you point me to a detailed step by step GS2 rooting guide please?
Thanks for your help
The most easiest way would be to pick the CF-Root kernel matching your firmware/ROM from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
And just flash that - done.
The kernel takes care of pretty much everything.
Seems complex.. but i will give it a try.
Hello guys how are you? Like the title said i need some help with the ascend Y300. I just rooted this mobile and now i want to do a backup of whole system so in case if anything goes wrong i can restore it. Another thing is that i want to also backup it's stock rom so if there is some fault i can restore the stock rom and unroot it and then sent it for warranty. Also what damage can be done after rooting my mobile? I am fairly kind of scared since the last mobile i rooted (i think it was spectrum phone cant remember the model right now) it's screen kind of messed up and now i have to sent it for warranty. So i want to be sure that i don't cause anything with my mobile. That's pretty much all of it. I hope you guys can help.
you can unroot by Framaroot

Hi, I had the Mate 8 adjourned to the version NXT-L29C432B581 but after having made some country house trying to install some ROM I have made the roolback following the guide of the assistance Huawei and I have brought him to the version original NXT-L29C432B192 with decontrolled bootloder.
I have tried to look for the updating through OTA but nothing doesn't find me.
Could someone point out me the footsteps to follow (in Italian) for B581 to install the updating and to get the root?
Thanks.
Download firmware finder
Hello, thanks for the answer.
Ok to find the firmware, but I would like to know how to proceed and then install to install it. Thank you.
Dear all,
First i would like to thank all developers for spending their time on supporting the huawei community.
And since i come from samsung and LG devices, I m not able to understand the risks of rooting huawei since it has AI and kirin.
-As i want to root my phone, i would like to know if it is just like a normal rooting for a phone and which guide step by step is recommended?
-Also, if i rooted my Mate 10 ALP-L29, what happens when i want to update the stock rom? Unroot or what is the process?
-One more question, if some root apps might brick the device ?
Thank you !!
