Night shift/high brightness message - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

I just started receiving a pair of random error notifications. Nothing specifically triggers the messages and they go away after several minutes of popping up. I've searched within the phone settings and here but can't find any information. Anyone know what these are?!

[Q] Galaxy S3 wont receive text messages

hey guys, I searched the forum and so far no one has been able to give a clear answer. So here I am. I got my S3 about 10 days ago. And what I've noticed is that sometimes my message tone will play for no reason. Like the message tone will play, when I check my phone, nothing. Absolutely Nothing. Then my friend tells me that he messaged me. I'm like no you didn't. I've noticed that I don't get a lot of texts actually. I also noticed that while I was in a call, I received the message. Any ideas?
When I first read your title I immediately thought that it may be due to your 'Message Center' information (within the SMS settings) not being populated. However, reading your "symptoms" that's probably not the case. It might be worth checking either way though.
Are you using a stock rom?
Was this issue ever solved?
I have the same issue (Omega 34 rom)
The phone will vibrate and LED will flash, but no message is received. It only happens occasionally.
Any thoughts?

[Q] Stock Messaging causing reboots?

As part of my job responsibilities I am on call and receive pages for system alerts. Sometimes, we get many (hundreds) of alerts at once. The first time this happened with my S4 it rebooted itself after about 30 SMS messages were received in quick succession. Three more times this past weekend it did the same thing. At the time I was on the lock screen, so the SMS notification thing was up on the screen, and I could tell it was having trouble updating the screen with the frequency of incoming notifications.
Anyone else experience this problem, and do you think Verizon would accept this as "faulty" and exchange my phone for something that can handle SMS notifications, if there's no fix?
No I'm not rooting, if I pay for a working phone I want a working phone out of the box. If I mess with it afterwards, THEN I have only myself to blame, but I'd like to get this issue worked out before I do that, as I have done with all the phones I've rooted/unlocked.

Always have '1 New Voicemail' notification - Can I freeze Phone Services?

So after installing TWRP and flashing a ROM on my phone back in December, I constantly have a notification on my phone from Phone Services telling me I have one new voicemail when my inbox is empty. What's annoying is that it randomly 'refreshes' making the notification noise, so I am forced to keep it on vibrate otherwise I have to listen to that notification going off all day long. I have lived with it for the past 3 months, but have recently realized when I do get voicemails, it never updates the number it always just says one voicemail. It's really frustrating too b/c I live in a rural area where I sometimes don't have reception and if I get a call it never shows up and if they leave a voicemail I'm not notified unless I actually check it.
I have tried clearing data and cache as well as force stopping in the settings and it will automatically come back within a few minutes. I have set the Phone Services notifications to 'Don't show notifications at all', but it completely ignores it. I have tried switching to Google Voice from Sprint Voicemail and it still appears. I tried switching back to Sprint Voicemail and it's still there. I have flashed new builds of the ROM multiple times and it still shows up, usually about an hour or two after flashing. The only thing I haven't done at this point is use the LGFlashTool to completely vert back to factory which I'm avoiding because of the time/effort and the lingering feeling it still won't fix it.
Before going thru that, I was wondering if I could potentially freeze Phone Services with Ice Box and migrate to use Google Voice for voicemail. Does anyone know if this is ok or will it brick my phone?
Any input is appreciate!
UPDATE: On Wednesday I had a random reboot while using my phone and after booting back up I no longer saw the notificiation. It's been several days since then, booth rebooting the phone and using voicemail and still have not got the notification back. Only thing I have noticed is that it no longer gives a notification at all if I get a voicemail, but since I get a text alert I'm not too concerned.
Unfortunately, if somebody else encounters this same issue it's not much help on why it occurred or how to fix it....

No Subject Texts+File Obvious Virus. Need Help Stopping Texts

Alright, recently as in like 5 minutes ago, I've been getting blank no subject texts from two of my contacts. It is clearly a virus of some sort and am not downloading the file, but the texts aren't stopping and the mms is constantly trying to auto download the file when the texts arrive (fortunately they are failing). I would like information on stopping this from continuing and have notified my family that if this begins happening to them to not download the file.
I've tried scanning for anything already on my phone and disconnecting from my wifi in case that was compromised, but they still keep coming. I even checked the phones of the contacts that were sending me these texts and they show that those texts weren't even registered in their history.

Messaging notifications repeating over and over again

My wife's S21 messaging notifications are repeating over and over again every few minutes. Sometimes repeating notifications from weeks ago. dozens at a time. The sound is very annoying.
It is updated to Android 12 and AT&T does not think it is their problem. Samsung is hard to reach. I've turned off notifications for Messages and it has stopped but not having notice of incoming messages is not OK.
Anyone else have this problem, and more importantly a solution? I will try to factory reset soon.
Mike
