I upgraded my midong to the last CN firmware by mistake and I tried to downgrade to 1.0.5.60 English using notify&fitness app
The process was shown as completed and successful, but my midong is working with a black screen and it doesn't connect by Bluetooth.
Anyone with the same problem?
Is there any way to soft/hard reset and install fw again?
BLE Scanner detects the midong but its unable to discover services/connect

The black screen is because the correct file is missing (thats no problem)!
But have you tried with a few devices? Maybe your main flash device has a bluetooth mac adress conflict?!

Did you get any solution to the black screen. My amazfit cor stucked in this black screen after a firmware downgrade, and It does not connect through bluetooth.
Hey I have a similar problem too.... black screen, oddly I can see it via Bluetooth but cannot connect. I am at odds on trying to figure out another way to send the missing file. Any other ideas on this?
mine got stuck while trying to do its own update, it keeps trying to connect and appears like it does when you accept the prompt on the screen but then the app kicks it back and says it didnt connect...its 2 weeks old and they have no solutions for this ?

Mine also started doing this yesterday. I've had mine for 6 months now. Wonder if it was maybe some update that caused it? Have you found a solution yet?

After upload a watchface i also got the black screen
For me the solution was open mi fit go to profile/amazfit cor\display settings\ make any change in the items order and save

Exactly same problem here. It did its own update in March and then can't pair it up to updgrade or downgrade anymore. Bricked.
Working again
So my Amazfit Cor is working again. I let the battery drain (almost took 2 months) and after the restart, the pairing worked again.

Hi,
Sounds like it got thrown into fastboot mode. If so, the update may not have took. If your build number (found in settings) is not LCA43, then that's probably the case.
To pair the watch again, only way I can think of is to factory-reset the watch. Any update it took will luckily still be there, only your userdata will be wiped.
After the LCA43 update I had to reset my G Watch to get it to function properly.
Hello, I need help with an amazfit beep, when updating in IOS to the latest version the clock was on screen a message that said "connect app to update resources".
Then I linked the clock to an android and using gadgetbridge install the res 9.40 and then the fw 9.26 then in this last step the clock did not end and it was turned off. Now I can not turn it on or in the charging base.

Mine was in bricked mode since a month ago.
Was using the Notify n Fitness app, then out of sudden i decide to manually converting to another rom. the first phase was successful. but then, it restarted to 2nd phase, unfortunately it didn't managed to get there... stay in 'sleep mode' ever since.

For first poster : You have to flash first FW, THEN .res.
Maybe that's why.
To flash the 2 files, i used Notify & Fitness today and all ok.
FW : 0.1.0.27
And once it's bricked, for now, I haven't seen anyone recovering it...

Same problem. As far as I understand, "brick" is not treated. There is no solution to the problem (((

Hi There,
I'm also facing the bootlopping issue, I tried using another phone to pair. after many tries, I;m able to see the paring screen but I;m unable to press the 'Tick' icon then after awhile it will auto reboot again.
have you found a way to fix it yet?

I came across the above link regarding the teardown of amzefit bip and it says if the wrong firmware is flashed and if the watch bricks it can be unbricked by using the testing points available on motherboard of the watch. I don't have a decent electronics background so didn't understood it.
Finally I just understood that it's possible but, not for common user like me (unless someone creates a proper tutorial)

The uploading of the res and fw file completed in the amazfit bip. However the amazfit reboot and its not opening since.
12hrs already passed and still its not turning on.
What I noticed is that the bluetooth signal can be detected by other phones. Then I can connect via Ble Scanner but it will disconnect.
Is there a way to force flash the firmware?

Only one idea: Delete Gadgetbride, restart your Phone, install Mi Fit-App, Switch your Phone language to english (If isn't) and try to install Firmware again.

I had the same problem, i was desperate and ready to throw it away, but i finally did what urs1956 said and it worked!! (Only thing is that i paired it with an other device at first).

Have you ever flashed the ROM of your watch?
Can you please send us a screenshot of your watch screen?
If the screen turned off, please charge it to have a try.
If it doesn't work, please remove the device from the charger, put it on the table, make it untouched for 24-48 hours to let the battery drains and then charge it to see if it solves the issue.
If your issue persists, please get touch with the seller to return the device to have it examined.

Amazfit BIP bricked after firmware update: Hi,
I did a firmware update which apparently failed as since then the watch will show a black screen only.
The watch is discoverable in the android bluetooth settings, however, I cannot pair or connect to it.
Is there any way of "forcing" an update via bluetooth?

I've just got new Amazfit Stratos 3, paired them with the phone and didn't do anything else. When trying to go into the Settings-General, getting the "Unfortunetly, Settings has stopped".
Tried to update Firmware, but when checking on the phone or on the watch it says that it is uptodate: 4.2.0.1.
So how can I fix the Settings error and how can I update from 4.2.0.1?

really I must be an IT engineer to do it? is not easy, unlock the watch and push a new firmware.

No need to unlock bootloader to upgrade just copy the OTA file to your watch then run the command to launch the update.

Hi, same problem like @karabel, received today my Stratos 3, no french language??, and the problem with the General menu, tried to go into and got the "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped".
I have updated the firmware 4.2.0.1 to 4.2..6.0 and all been fine . Now General is accessible and all languages are available.

No need to panic, please explain what you where trying to do?
You tried to rollback the firmware with other app, like notify & fitness ,
or you tried to update the watch through official Mi Fit?
In any case, what files did it installed succesfully, the Firmware, the res, the font or the Gps?
And what version of the fw where you trying to update?

Hello again, Yes, you can download Notify & Fitness for Amazfit(Green Logo), You Download from here (XDA Developers) a previous version to downgrade, and when you complete, you run again Zepp oficcial, for update.
If the downgrade can't complete, select to update from notify, and choose stock firmware!
in many cases can't update correct to the latest firmware.
Also If you have mi fit in the phone, uninstall it, because the devise gets confused with both (Zepp and Mi Fit) and if you have the magiacal unicorn Zepp Edition, you should have the online update setting on.

Hello I tried to down grade unsuccessfully using Notify and Fitness but it fails trying to update Fonts!. It is the same error that I get in Zepp oficial.

I had the same problem in 2 cases, but with notiffy and after some tries, it managed to downgrade the fw file, and when I connected in zepp it updated the fonts succesfully.
But it took over 3-4 times in each case through notify.

I don't have mifit, I had zepp aex 5.4.0 and the watch on version 1.3.7.17. Trust when I tell you I have try everything. Downgrade all version, install all app version since the watch came out, and nothing woks. I use notify and fitness to do does downgrades and always fail at fonts, I had some luck getting the phone to work, but I went crazy and did the update to the Last version and then again the problem with the fonts. Open to suggestions
well, i guess its the end, after the new update 1.3.7.17 i cant dowgrade to any version. always fail, im trying to downgrade to 1.3.4.14.
News, I managed to get the watch in to home screen and use it with all functions. The problem, I can barely see the screen, it's a glitch I think, I can unly do this with the charger connected and sending two notifications to the watch and pressing the power button. I can use the watch and do everything but when I disconnect the charger or leave it for a time back to "please open the app and select check for updates". Trying to do something new I'll be posting soon.

As you describe it, there are many issues to the device, there is a chance to be a faulty device.
Contact huami if you are still in guarantee.
for the one case I rolled back the firmware, the problem was that it didn't updated the fonts correctly, and the screen was going on and of instantly, but when I managed to rollback, and update the new firmware successfully , the problem was corrected.
Also when you go for official last update (if you rollback) choose official Zepp, Not AEX or Magical unicorn's.
And Don't disconnect the device from app or bluetooth, while the hole procedure (All files) are updated.
Also you can download a previous official version of zepp, and it will update automatically the firmware that was distributed on the specific version of zepp

thaks for the reply. i have this in mind, i can downgrade to any version with notify and fitness, maeby if i go to the version when the problem happens i can manage to update the firmware. ill give it a try.
Can we stop the Zepp app from auto updating? When I last opened the app it instantly triggered my watch update without warning me. The worsts part was that my battery was low near 10% which is very risky.
My condition is worse than yours...
I'm also stuck on the same screen as in the picture you sent & I can not install anything.
If I try to update anything or even upload a design background to the watch, I get an error message and the watch restarts. :crying:
