Hey there, i've big problem because my Redmi 4X is stacked right now. So....
1. I have installed ADB and Fastboot
2. I have flashed and booted TWRP.img on my phone
But now... Things got complicated because i can't get access to internal storage to copy ROM, and i can't turn on my phone, what to do?
In TWRP on Wipe section, when i click on Data i have everywhere 0MB value, i think i broke something.
I have no idea honestly. I'm not sure why my tapatalk install focused to the page you're on.

I've got fixed it already. I have flashed Stock Developer ROM via Xiaomi MiFlash, then installed again TWRP and flashed a new rom with super SU. Everything works right now

Hello,I got a big problem on my INTernational S3. (GT-I9300).
I am not new at rooting flashing ROMs etc.
Got my 3rd samsung android device btw.
So the problem :
1. I installed CM using CM installer, official downloaded from sites of CM,without no problems. Now my phone keeps spining on boot logo of CM 11?
I tried to flash normally using .zip file trough recovery ( CWM 6.0.4.6) but CWM keeps saying the ZIP file it´s bad (formated 3 times on FAT 32& 32kb and tried another storage) so i did it from the installer.
Now i got something like eh..stone brick but with BIG problems.
Recovery couln´t not mount /data (or wipe it etc.)
When i tried install backup (before CM install //from STOCK ROM//) it give me error:
Checking MD5 sums....
md5sum: nandroid.md5: No such file or directory
MD5 mismatch
so cant go back to Stock ROM through the recovery.
now i tried odin, succefully went to Download mode by Volume down+power+home but ODIN did not find the phone (PC did)
so i dont know how to make my phone working, now tring to copy some ROMs to SD card but SD adapter not working +fu#k+
If you want, contact me on skype : lehkyp15 or in PM can send some videos.
Please, help me guys, thanks for all help :good:

Twrp is unable to read cm recovery backup and vice versa. You need to flash stock rom then root install recovery(Philz this time ,no problems with him) and flash custom rom. Don't use Cm flash tool, download nightly(or stable) and flash via recovery.

1. Place the ROM onto your device (use either internal or ext-sdcard).
2. Flash with TWRP.
3. Shut off device completely (important!) then reboot into Download Mode and Odin flash the Modem and Bootloader. The ROM will not boot without them!

Tip: For faster speed turn off animations from Developer Options!
Optional:
- G900T_PE1_Batch_Debloater (Customizable)
Kernel:
- Stock kernel with chainfire's sepolicy patch and BETA SuperSu v2.74.
Notes:

- No need to wipe prior to flashing, the ROM will automatically wipe UserData.
No bootloop because of the recovery?
Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
through trial and error, it seems like superSU causes the botloop (every time I try to install that it does the bootloop)
Last question will this wipe my internal SD or just wipe the /data partition?
Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
Flashed this, seems to work except I get a No SIM error.
Doesnt wipe internal storage, but no matter how many times I flash, I get invalid sim error. A quick twrp restore to 5.0 and all is good again.

No, it's the supersu files which cause the bootloop. Having a custom recovery does not cause any issues.
I've got the latest twrp installed. It's running fine here. Once a supersu is avail that works with I'll flash and continue on my way.

Unless you took the full update. Custom recovery and su causes bootloops.
I used odin to flash the entire firmware and then proceeded to install TWRP. Works fine for me.

Sure twrp is still installed? If you just flashed twrp and rebooted chances are twrp got over written by stock on reboot. Because nobody else has been able to

Hey there, I tried to install a new version of lineageos and did a backup with twrp. I wasn't that happy and tried to go back to the backup. First I had problems with the screen key which was "wrong" and I wiped it a few times with internal storage. Now, every time I install a backup or do a new version from scratch, a few seconds after the boot it reboots. Sometimes it takes a minute, sometimes it doesn't even get to the start screen. What can i do? Thank you!

Thank you for your answer Spukey. I did that already, also clean install of other aosp like Resurrection Rom but it's always the same: it reboots after a few seconds. I guess I killed the phone somehow, as it seems not to be a software issue

Ok. Recently I had to use the above method. Then without booting up I flashed TWRP via ADB. Then flashed a nandroid backup that I had saved some time ago that was the same rom version and rebooted, it worked.

My problem is different from others because my phone does not get stuck on logo, it gets switched on normally.
My device is HTC d816g ...i rooted with kingroot, these are happening after that. I have removed root completely but the problem is still there. When i try doing factory reset by going to settings, the phone turns off but then turns on again like i only rebooted it. Also when i try going to recovery mode, after clicking on the recovery mode button, the phone turns on instead of going to recovery mode.
Please tell me what to do, i searched a lot but no one has the same problem so i cant get the solution:crying:

Does anyone know of which files to make a backup from, in order to have a full working rom? There are so many files!
And what about this encryption tab in backup, what's that for?

The encryption tab is an optional feature if you want to encrypt the backup files generated with a password - much like adding a password to a zip file.
For which partitions to backup to save a full working ROM - see https://twrp.me/faq/whattobackup.html however I haven't tested for MIUI 10/Android Pie on the 9SE.
Did someone successfully restore a backup made with this recovery?
For anyone having issues with flashing. Try disconnecting the cable after flashing and boot into recovery with power + vol up. I am running on stable eu rom with magisk now. Seems to work smoothly

Did you solve the problem? Cause I have the same on my Redmi 5 Plus and it's VERY annoying. I must format data everytime I want to flash a zip file, or I get an error message. I was planning to buy this phone but the lack of community support scares me quite a bit.

But the recovery doesn't ask me for any pin or pattern.
I flashed twrp recovery and all seems good but when i try to boot into twrp there is always still the stock recovery. I tried also with 2 different fastboot but nothing changes. What i need to do ?
when the recovery is flashed, instead of rebooting device when in fastboot mode, just press vol+and power button

I boot up MIUI normally first. Then set a PIN, then reboot into fastboot and flash TWRP. After that I get a prompt
