They are not Google updates. They are Vivo FunTouch OS updates.
And if you will notice their changelog, it is all about improvements and bug fixes.
on 1.9.09, I could not even save a number from call log, the app will crash. Even after 1.9.11 update.
I however figured out, "Unknown number identification" app was causing the issue. (It is pre-built). I disabled it, and it fixed it. But, I never had this kind of problems with Flagships of Samsung, Sony, HTC, Nokia, even OnePlus that I have ever used.
Trying Vivo flagship this year, however was mistake.

well bro , I haven't faced such kind of issue and I am able to save number even after enabling unknown number identification .

Most probably most of em will flash coz of excitement and the wait
Lets hope for this bug to be fixed on next update and booom we got a stable rom. NFC is not a big deal breaker

Short Review
It's been an hour since i flashed the rom. Till now my phone has rebooted only once. The overall rom is very very smooth and finished. Haven't faced any problem except the one reboot. Will update if anything arises. Thanks a lot Ivan for putting so much effort on this rom.
Where is @zelendel ?? lol
Probably recharging his batteries, or, fighting terrorism. Either way the mods rock xD.
Will download and play around with the ROM later when internet is better, anyone see if Ivan incorporated an updater app into this AOSP ROM as well?

After talking it over we have decided to support the devs. We still dont support the OEM or their underhanded tactics. Their are rules though. Ivan rom is still not allowed Unless he posts it here and supports it.

You have to understand. This OEM and development team has a lot of hatred from the devs here. Almost no devs will touch this device or miui and our main focus is on developers. Not so much users.

Have you tested the rom?
Tested a bit, looks really great! (Installed the jan02 rom and after the fingerprint fix)
Use the stock Google camera and working good, taking pictures (sometimes out of flash, but avarage good), recording video in 4k without problem.
When make a call the phone go to "do not disturb", after the call get back to normal.
In the rom have minimal usefully options to mod, by the way we have a very good and simple AOSP experience.
Only used 30 minutes, but the battery only fall 3% (I know, no syncing a lot of apps, only installed and checked a few, but it's good)
Don't test the vulcan api, because don't install gapps, just only some apps for testing.
So thanks, I think this rom on my top 3!

I was using it all day yesterday and I must say its amazing. No cam or flashlight issue.
I had a 3-4 random reboots though. Hope that gets fixed soon.

There's no official thread at the moment AFAIK. I'm sure it'll be up once the testing is done.
But the test builds are mentioned above in case you want to give it a try.

What about volte. And can you click hdr in google camera. Someother changes from cm.
No other changes...pretty good, but not as lineage currently

everything working fine camera video volte out of the box xender(for file sharing) substratum battery life very good . I used it since 4 days faced not a single reboot. very stable.
sometime flashlight from toggle not working and with camera also.

I'm furious, i bought Honor View 10 for modding, because Honor had to give the phone to many developers for expand the modding on their devices. Then first Huawei stop the possibility to unlock bootloader and now stop the possibility to have root also?
It's incredible, Huawei/Honor should repay who bought the device before their decision to stop the modding scene.
Honor clearly didnt work closely with Huawei when it comes to that modding/rooting related stuff
after Honor dev program they locked bl's for good, and now trying to prevent ROOT by adding system app to check for Root then force remove it or stop it

But this is not fair, many of us bought a huawei device for modding, and now we are stucked with no options to reclaim anyting, Honor View 10 in my case has cost me around of 500€, took time for me to get this money (part time job, studing, and living alone), it's hard for me to believe that the reply of Huawei is deal with it, good luck next time loser.
This tweet was pertaining to a Chinese variant. @MishaalRahman with XDA is investigating, as there is no official word if this sort of update is coming to other regions or even the US. This may have been done by mistake as well.
There have been other Chinese variants that have received a "patch1" type update, but has been confirmed those other updates are bug fixes and are not rooted related.
I'm sure XDA will make a write up to clarify if/when there is more info

Your complaints will do absolutely nothing on XDA ... contact your local Huawei dealership or post pubically on their social media pages like Facebook or Twitter. Only if it's made public (by enough people) will there be even the slightest chance of them changing their @&%$§!* new policies.
The View 10 seemed so promising earlier this year which is why I bought it ... my first and at this rate definitely my LAST ever Huawei device

Yes i can, in fact i have disable update app from Titanium backup, and Yes i can flash custom rom. But the modding scene is not really good, first we don't have a twrp 100% working and for me slowly the modding will be abandoned because nobody will buy Huawei or Honor.

We don't need TWRP and we most definitely have a bunch of great roms - and they won't get abandoned any time soon.
Check the OpenKirin link in my signature ... I've been running their Resurrection Remix with Magisk for months now without any issues ... and without needing TWRP :victory:
OpenKirin has several great roms, I'm sure you'll find one that suits you too :fingers-crossed:

Nimueh i have a question. I'm curious of RROS of OpenKirin, but Xposed works? Do you know if substratum works also? I tried a few time ago RROS taken from XDA but Xposed and substratum didn't working.

Substratum works great because RR has all the commits that are needed.
Xposed isn't officially supported (by pretty much ANY custom rom), so no idea if it works ... I never had the need to use it myself

Plenty of substratum themes do that already though, no need for xposed just for that.

have they started doing this yet? i usr this command to flash twrp and it says it worked it will go into twrp for like 10 sec and reboot to fastboot.... fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk TWRP.img yes thats what my twrp is named
The original person who reported on this new "patch1" update to the ramdisk is still testing to see whether it's an intentional feature to block root, or if Magisk no longer working is just a side effect to ramdisk changes. We're waiting to see the results of their testing.

Ah ok, that's cool - last I heard only BKL-09 was supported. But I can't say I've been keeping up since I have the EU version anyway and never paid much attention to which rom was working on the US version :angel:

Nope, I just flashed the latest fw 8.8.30 then the treble enable zip file followed by the rom .. maybe I will try it again thank you.
Ps there are still the double voice while phone calling and the switch camera which requires 30 sec bugs in this rom?

Before you flash Treble, you need to have the right firmware/MIUI rom flashed. The MN2 Treble thread should give you an indication what is the minimum version to use. I used the latest 8.8.30 EU multi rom and that works fine with Treble. I had no luck with any of the P GSI images though. They all had some kind of shortcoming that was a deal breaker for a daily driver. Most notably due to most if not all P GSI images being rooted, could not get Magisk to hide it well enough to get Google Pay to work. I used up to the latest (v 17) Magisk image that works with Treble. I also had an other app I need for work (Concur) that would not work for the same reason. There is also overheating and battery drain issues with most GSI images. I tried many over a day and a half of stuffing around with Treble. I am now back on the above mentioned EU rom. Treble is too young for my needs just yet. Better luck to you.

I used up to the latest (v 17) Magisk image that works with Treble. I also had an other app I need for work (Concur) that would not work for the same reason. There is also overheating and battery drain issues with most GSI images. I tried many over a day and a half of stuffing around with Treble. I am now back on the above mentioned EU rom. Treble is too young for my needs just yet. Better luck to you.

Forums/MIUI ROM releases, self explanatory really. Same forum concept as it is here at XDA. I'm not going to link directly to the download because you should be doing some homework about suitability for your needs.

When i use 4g data lte my device always starts to heat. It ends up to 43°C everytime. battery also drains so fast in 4g. Any solution for this? The only one thing i got so much irritated while using the phone is 4G! I am feeling like it's too best to buy Oneplus mobiles than Xperia devices. ?
Which build are you using? And have you unlocked the bootloader and rooted your phone?
Im facing the same issues. Im on lastest Oreo only UB. Please help

I am on stock 8.0 OS with latest security patch. Non rooted.

That's why it's heating.. You must root your Xperia X because there is no point for not doing that.. Latest update already came out.. You can join whatsapp group link we'll help you there

I am using 4g data recently before that i had WI-FI but after using 4g not only it draining my phone battery but also i observed my phone not charging fast with QuickCharge 2.0. My phone will charge 85 to 90 in a hour but after this 4g issue my phone charging so slowly.
Does After rooting the Xperia X will prevent all these issues? What features will get lost after rooting?

Yeah i know there's a thread but i am a complete beginner. I never done those things that's why i am asking. Previously i had Xperia ZR and i rooted that with just one click through Kingroot app but now that's not the case.
Anway thanks i just want to know a few things. What features will get lost after rooting and does it increase any preformance and reduce battery drain? What are the necessary modules/apps has to install in Magisk. I never tried Magisk before.
Also, Name some apps to install on a rooted Xperia X.
