hi team,
recently purchased Mate 10 (ALPL09 8.0.0.128 C346) in Australia. i am coming from a MotoX (gen2) and am experiencing some weird behaviour with some apps on mobile data.
some apps are showing reduced image quality when on mobile data. when flicking to wifi they appear in higher quality.
how do i stop the phone from reducing the quality when on mobile data?
(data saver is disabled)
TIA
I have the same version alp-L09 8.0.0.128 (c346) in Pakistan but didn't received any update from more than 6 month. Did you receive any update?

Does anyone notice that their phone's performance drops when they have their watch connected? As I'm typing this even I notice a slight lag on the keyboard.
I have the Nexus 5 and never had performance issues before. Might be the constant Bluetooth connection or the increased ram usage? I noticed the watch app can take up a lot of RAM.
Sound off.

Also N5 here, no problems though
N5, no problems here.
N5 with PA 4.45 here:
No problems at all. No difference on the Phone with/without the watch connected, or even android wear sw installed on the phone.
I think you have an app installed (either on the phone and/or on the watch that's causing this. But do not ask me which app :silly:
Maybe you did an Update of some apps or install some new apps?n Maybe going back to older version will help?
I would recommend to restart watch and phone. If this will not help I would do a backup of the phone and start troubleshooting.
First I would clear Data and cache of the android wear app (in Settings on the phone) and reset the watch (Factory defaults).
Then do not install any app like watchface etc. on the watch and check if all works fine. So maybe uninstall the apps on the phone for the clock either.
If then all works fine (and that should be the case) You can reinstall all apps and watchfaces one by one and try after every app if problem occours again.
Maybe you do a list of installed wear apps as some users reportet also problem with battry drain etc with some apps installed,
I've recently purchased an ASUS Fonepad 7 with Android version 4.3. It's been 2 months and I've noticed abnormally high background data utilisation from Android OS (both wifi and mobile).
I've disabled google backup, turned off all sync but nothing has solved it.
Can you please help.
I have a Mini Pro with bone stock ROM, build no. 4.0.2.A.0.62. Just started using it and noticed the data icon seems to be almost constantly transmitting (and hardly ever receiving). I've installed a data usage monitor app, and the biggest data user is the 'Keypad' app. In a couple of hours it's used 320kb. I've barely used the phone, sent one SMS, that's it.
So what the hell is it doing, and how do I stop it from using all my data allowance?
Hi there
I have the KIW-L21 version of the Honor 5X and I am on the stock B140 firmware.
I have tried endlessly to find the setting where one can set the monthly mobile data usage limit and the related warning setting when one hits such a set limit.
It seems the setting(s) is not available on the Honor 5X.
Is this a known bug and are the Honor reps on this forum aware of this possible bug ?
If it is indeed a bug will it be fixed when the Android Marshmallow update is released ?
Thank you

sounds like a good reason to move to CM13

Yes, it would be a reason if Honor do not fix this bug.
Is anyone else on a stock rom experiencing the same issue (i.e. not able to set a monthly mobile data usage limit) ?

The data setting is in the Phone admin app (the one with the shield) -> Data traffic -> package settings (first option) -> Data limit

Thanks, but on my phone the "PACKAGE SETTINGS" is not present.
Thus I am unable to set a data limit.
I think it may be a bug with the EMUI software which does not allow me to see the "PACKAGE SETTINGS" option.
I do hope Honor look into this possible bug.
I noticed this was missing as well. There's a setting to turn mobile data off and on but it doesn't look like the typical screen on Android, right? I just started researching this bc I had wished it was there as well and today I downloaded the Canon print app...For some reason it wanted me to toggle off cellular data and when I clicked the shortcut in the notification to go to settings it took me directly to the screen I didn't think existed where it shows the standard on/off toggle and a graph showing data usage with the option to set data limits. Can not find a direct way to get to it, but I know it exists now, which makes it even worse.

After a little more thought I think we can take advantage of this hack. Settings/data traffic management/traffic reminder settings allows you to set limits on data usage, but mine was always wrong because the start/end dates for my plan couldn't be set. It's a one-time hassle but downloading the Canon print app to get to the standard Android data usage screen allowed me to set the start date for my plan and after that we should be able to use the more advanced options of EMUIs traffic management. To be more specific about my process...Download the Canon print app, launch it. It will begin the setup process. All you have to do is accept terms for the first 2 screens and after that there's a notification to turn off cellular data, click yes to display the cellular data settings screen and you will get the standard Android data management screen that we all know and love. Setup whatever you wish. For me just being able to set the plan dates was all I needed, however you can always get back to this screen through the same process if you want to use it for other settings. Just don't actually turn off cellular data or complete the setup for the print app and it should run again any time you launch the app. If it doesn't, go to phone settings/apps and clear the memory of the Canon app to start fresh. IF you're like me and already have a Canon printer and use this app, you will have to setup you're printer again if you clear memory but you'll just need to do this once to set the plan dates then use EMUIs traffic management so that you can actually use the Canon app for your printer, but if you don't have a Canon printer you can use the app to get to this screen whenever you wish. I hope this helps someone. I know I'm thrilled just to be able to set the plan dates bc without that option all the traffic management stuff on the phone is always wrong and completely useless. Good luck!
Why not try an app from playstore !
Hello.
So i bought the iqoo 7 Legend Chinese version last April and since the beginning im facing some Issues...
I thought that with a OTA update wiil become normal, but no.
So the problem is, even if the phone have mobile data on, with the 4g or 4g+ signal, he loses connections, speed transfer is like 100 kbs... He changes from 4g+ to 4g on a second, and the data transfer stucks... Its strange..
And the other thing, the notifications... I dont receive wattsapp, email, other apps notifications... Anyone have the same issue? If someone could help i apreciate... Thanks.
Are you using the phone in a country other than china, if yes then probably it is because of a different baseband/radio version. You need the particular country software version on your device.
The signal depends on compatibility of the phone, but notifications can be turned on in the settings of every app.
If you still have problems after turning on and giving priorities to the norifications, you could use adb (or adb appcontrol) to uninstall an app Called PEM (is the vivo battery management, and is very aggressive with notifications), but it will increase battery consumption.
