Vender Mismatch after flashing Resurrection Remix Oreo - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I flashed resurrection remix oreo rom on my Redmi Note 3. Now when I restarted the phone, its showing below alert
a vendor image mismatch has been detected. Typically this means your vendor image is out of date. Please ensure your vendor image matches MMB29M
Though the phone is booting up, I am not sure what this mismatch means. Somebody can help on this ?

You would need to flash the Vendor.img via Fastboot again to get rid of that Message.

Vendor images

New to Nexus 9 and just wondered if the Vendor img has to match the ROM? Do you need to flat the corresponding bootloader image.
I ask because I recently flashed the latest vendor but got the vendor warning until I flashed the previous vendor.
I thought as long as I am on the latest vendor I could load any M rom.

Installing Custom ROMS avoiding Encrypting Internal Storage

Hi,
I've been out the custom rom game since Lollipop and feel very much like a N00b again.
I flashed the latest stable PIE miui through TWRP then flashed a few custom roms to test. Got hit with the whole encryption merry go round and managed to somehow stop this by flashing one of these disableencrypt zips I believe. I have no idea if this will happen again and I am scared my internal data will get encrypted again. how do I permanently disable this?
I also have the following error what have i done wrong, do i need to fix this and what effect does it have on my Poco:
ANDROID SYSTEM
Your vendor image does not match the system. Please flash the PKQ1.180729.001 vendor image for your device.
Any guidance would be much appreciated,=.

1- First of all encryption is by default in pie so you have to flash DfE every time you update or install a ROM and also in case of updating vendor or firmware . DfE has to installed after the ROM installation otherwise storage will get encrypted and only option would be left for decryption is format
2- For vendor mismatch flash vendor for here

thanks for the information,
1. Do I still have to flash Dfe every time I do an OTA update on custom roms?
2. What affect does the vendor mismatch have? will this format my data?

I read that we have to resize the system partition when that error occurs. It's too advanced for me so I left it.
Kicked into fastboot
I've tried installing it exactly as described here and also how it's described for other pie GSIs for oneplus5t but I only get kicked into the fastboot mode. I really like to try out this rom on an amoled display. Any specific methods I should follow? (I used mokee phh treble vendor as that was recommended in most forums, am also decrypted..maybe i have to try by flashing noverity too) all gsi tutorials and pages for oneplus 5t are about a year old so i'm not sure I can follow that and succeed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I cant install in redmi 6a
Galaxy A3 2017? (a3y17lte)
I have discovered a thread of the project treble port, how to fix stuck on boot screen?

Need an S9+ original One UI vendor image (camera not working) - PLEASE!

I've been messing with root on my G965F and, after a few ROM changes a decided to return to One UI, but my camera simply doesn't work. I'de flashed the CSB3 vendor image in order to install pixel experience ROM.
At the time I did my One UI backup, but I didn't save the original vendor Image, and now I can't completely restore it. Therfor my camera refuses to function.
I've tried restoring my device using odin, but becouse I've TWRP installed it gave me an error (a very scary one), "an error has occurred while updating the device software s9+...". It prompet me to use Smart switch emergency recovery which failed to recognise my device. My solution was to flash TWRP again (Fortunately it worked, and I was back to TWRP).
I restored my one UI backup without the vendor image, and the camera still doesn't work.
If I understood this corectly, if I restore my vendor image the camera will fuction back again. But I'am open to sugestions.
Thanks

I already tried that. But when I attempt to flash it using odin it gives me an error on my phone "SW REV. CHECK FAIL(BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: 4 BINARY: 3".
I might be wrong, but to my understanding from your last post you tried to install an original firmware image with bootloader v3 while your phone already has a bootloader v4. If I understand everything correctly you need to use a firmware version (for your region) containing a bootloader v4 for it to install correctly - otherwise it won't install since bootloaders aren't backwards compatible.

Can i change my rom without vender installed?

I installed the pixel experience rom a while back but never flashed vendor and firmware or whatever it is called. Now i wanna switch to Lineage because this non OTA is annoying. Do i have to flash vendor first or can i just install Lineage? I've read a couple of times that it is bad to make a new install without vendor but never an explanation why. I've also read that i shouldn't install the wrong version of vendor but i couldn't find which one is the one i need, so i just didn't update for a while and left everything like it is.
Thanks for help
PE filesize is 1.3gb, most probably it seems like PE has vendor image embeded! and LOS also comes with vendor image!
if pe was working fine with you! you can clean flash LOS without flashing vendor image!
however always take backup!
vendor image can be found at https://mirror.akhilnarang.me/MIUI/beryllium/ 9.6.27-9 is recomended!
If you want to go the LineageOS route, go to the LineageOS thread and read through it for the minimum version of the firmware file you'll need. Vendor is now embedded in the ROM so no need to install. However, you can still install the vendor/firmware file before flashing LineageOS as the vendor part will be overwritten. Don't forget to do a full backup before you start, better safe than sorry.
