Did anyone faced issue - on wireless charger, screen touch response is bad or weird to operate. Note: it happens only if i enabled high touch sensitivity option.

I haven't tried shutting off the screen sensitivity though. I just got a wireless car charger/cradle, so now I have a reason to be using my phone while it is wirelessly charging. To me it seems to be related to the section of the screen. The top half of the screen seems to miss occasional touches, but that even happens when it's not charging sometimes. Bottom half of the screen is OMG awful. Missed touches, extra touches, touches randomly off in some weird direction, long presses when I didn't long press, moving/dragging when I didn't move. Try typing on the keyboard if you want a fun time. It took me *SEVEN* attempts to type "Here". It kept grabbing the wrong keys, hitting the spacebar in the middle of the word, just bizarre random stuff. I couldn't even recognize what was being typed...
that's not a bug my friend - that's an issue normally associated with a cheap wireless chargers or non-OEM wireless charger.
Tried this on my 9+ with a Ravpower fast charger and have no issues with touch screen sensitivity or typing on the keyboard.
Yes! Holy ****!t, thought I was just imagining things. I experience it with my OEM 2018 Convertible wireless fast charger.

Yeah, happens with me when I use a cheap wireless charger.
I use an iottie fast wireless charging cradle in my car and often the touch screen is finicky. I haven't tried turning off touch sensitivity.

Do you know what scientific or engineering principles are causing this to happen? Is the electromagnetic field generated by the induction coils somehow interfering with the screen's capacitive interaction? I have only used my finger. I should try a stylus to see if there is a difference.

I have a developer option turned on to draw a small dot to indicate where you touched the screen. Yesterday I was watching as I repeatedly touched the screen in the same spot. I did not move my finger from that spot. Just lifted and tapped over and over. The dot drawn moved around quite a bit. Mostly high or low, by about 1/2". The phone was somehow getting false readings about where I was touching. No wonder I had such issues with the keyboard. I have noted that pressing harder with my normal use, *does* improve its ability to sense the touch accurately. I was not really testing that with the repeated touches though.

you have to ask yourself two things;
1. is screen touch response happening while it was on wireless charger?
2. or is screen touch response happening while using your phone regularly even without not on charger?
if your answer is #2 or both #1 and #2, you should contact where you bought and exchange it. However, if your issue is #1 only, I would try to use different wireless charger to test and see.
Also keep in mind that Exyons version fo S9/S9+ has plagued with touch screen issues (i do believe this is also officially confirmed by Samsung);

I have Snapdragon.
Initial testing on another charger seems better (not perfect). I am going to play with placement to see if that makes a difference.

For my car, I just leave the phone in the wireless charging cradle, since I don't use the phone while driving, then if I need more than incidental contact with the screen while it's in the cradle, I just unplug the power source and the touch screen goes back to normal behavior. Annoying, but not unworkable.
I prefer the wireless charging because of past phone experiences where the charging port got damaged from needing to plug/unplug the phone so often. Unplugging the power source for the cradle is easy and not so likely to damage anything.
I had a fun one today I took my phone *off* the wireless charger and the touch screen went crazy. The dot showing where I was touching at the moment, was flickering down by the home button like it was the fire button on a video game. However, I wasn't touching the screen at all. So I shut the screen off (because no matter where I touched it just ignored me and kept mashing the home button). Then tried to turn it back on and nothing would happen. Normally when I get stuck like this I put it on the charger and it forces the screen on. I did that and the screen came on but it still wouldn't take my touch. So I finally had to reboot.
Did anybody was able to put the finger on the problem about touch issue with wireless charging?
(Finger on the problem...... did you get it..ok ok, need more beer)..

How does a "cheap" or none OEM wireless charger would affect the Touchscreen?
Mag field too strong? Android software disable touch while wrls/charging?
Can we lower some parameters on the phone trying to alleviate the issue?
I normally pick up my phone from the charger to use it, but out of curiosity, I just tried it on the charger, and have no problems. The charger is a Pleson Fast Charge model C500.
Try with high touch sensitive enabled. You might get issue.

I've just conducted a series of tests (just tracing the movement using the dev tools->show traces) and I've noticed the screen is much less responsive when I'm charging the phone. I have no idea why this is happening. I'm using the charger on my tablet, and it doesn't have the same effect. The tablet is just as responsive as usual. The charger I'm using is the one which came w/ the phone.
Issues: you have to hold down for longer to register touches. This messes up w/ typing. Also it sometimes lets go of a touch before you remove your finger. Quite annoying. There's also quite a bit of general lag: the keyboard stays up for a second before going away, home screen takes a bit to load up icons or widgets.
The second you remove the charger, it goes back to normal response. Quick screen response, no system lag, nothing negative.
Anyone experiencing the same issue?

Known issue with many devices. One of the custom kernels (might be siyah, can't recall just now) even has custom touch sensitivity settings for when the device Is plugged in.

Another cause of lagg when charging is choosing a battery icon that has a charging animation in the status bar. I have a S3 and it becomes very laggy with the charging animation so I chose a simple battery icon that doesn't have any charging animation and now it is the same speed when charging or not charging.

As mentioned above, there is a problem with my A5. When my tempered glass screen protector is fixed and when my phone is charging, my touch screen seemed to go haywire. I am holding my finger in one place but the phone detected that my finger is shaking, wildly. Besides shaking, my phone will stop sensing my finger even though it is held there.
I doubt it is the problem with my hardware because I have already changed the touch screen, charging port and the motherboard by sending it to the Samsung Service Centre. I believe the problem is due to the tempered glass (my previous tempered glass) because it was put onto another A5 and the same problem occured. Now, I have purchased another tempered glass from REMAX (picture below), and it seemed to cause the same problem again.
So now my questions are
1. Can I seek for another alternative such as Spigen's tempered glass screen protector or should I just use the normal screen protector?
2. Am I the only one facing this problem?
3. Is the problem really due to the tempered glass?
Oh by the way, my phone is running on official rom version 4.4.4.

Without getting into too much tech details i have a list of possible cause's
1. with having a additional screen cover in place and power connected your body+screenprotector create a capacitor, this is exactly how the screen registers touch , so without the screen protector in place this wont happen. I've seen this on a few Screen protectors that use certain types of conductive glue/bonding agent.
2. faulty charger or fake chargers often cause this behavior, try another charger or use USB on a laptop not plugged into mains power, if the problem is gone then plug in laptop's main power, if problem still gone then your issue is charger, if problem starts when pluging in the laptop's power then it's either ground loop or your screen protector acting as above.
3. faulty assembly when fitting screen, they didnty apply the copper back shield or the protective cloth that act's as a shield around the ribbon cables
before anyone shouts that samsung fixed it, I know and i can quote many a occasion a cell phone was not fixed right first time by the OEM

finally try wearing shoes when touching the screen, if wearing shoes stops the problem get your house wiring checked.

thanks saxmydix, i used multiple chargers and it is still the same, i tried charging in another house in another area, still the same problem occured, so i doubt it is the problem with my charger.

1. so it is entirely dependent on how the screen priotector/tempered glass is sticked to the screen?
2. sorry for not including the details on my charger in my post. i am currently using an official charger that i got when i purchased my previous samsung phone(S2 gt-i9100g). i tried using the A5 charger and the problem persists. will using a powerbank recreate the scenario of the unplugged laptop charging? if it is the same, the problem is still there even when my powerbank is unplugged. i do not have a laptop at home and it wouldnt be possible for me to get my hands on a laptop that i can use these few days. i tried charging my phone in another house (in another region which is like 20 kilometers away) and it is still the same. and my brother's samsung galaxy alpha do not have this problem while charging.
3. so u are saying that the problem might be due to oem? once again i apologize for not including this in the post. while i am at the samsung shop, the person in charge tried putting the tempered glass (which was fixed to my phone) onto another A5 which was there due to a boot loop problem, and it started to have the same problem. is it possible that all Samsung A5's assembly do not have the copper back shield or the protective cloth?
apparently nobody in the samsung shop knows how to deal with my problem because they have never seen it before. it took me quite some time to explain to each person who attempted to serve me and i only managed to show the problem to one of the personnel (which was the one who helped me fix my phone). i went back to the samsung shop 3 times in 2 days. in the 1st time, he changed the touch screen, in the second time, he changed the charging port and in the third time, he changed the motherboard.
as for the test, i turned on the pointer location and i keyed in *#7353#, and i selected TSP grid mode. that is how i checked the problem. and while i was there, the shaking only occurs at where my fingers are. i tried enabling the show touches option and the display do not register touches until i touched them.

It wont be 100% of the cause but will affect performance of the screen.

Yes, using a non-mains connected charger will be sufficient for the test, like your power bank for example

Note on images 4 and 5 you will see the copper shield, this model does not have the conductive cloth I mentioned but the copper ground plane can clearly be seen on both the body and screen. Fake and non oem parts tend not to have this, in the body there is also a copper area which can be removed by mistake on replacement of the screen.
this is not often found in the replacement screen kit.

I once repaired a phone that had been back to the OEM service center, cause of fault was copper strip from old screen touching the board, the copper slip was so small i only noticed it when it sparkled under the right light, it's mistakes like that is what I am talking about, easily missed by many.

Sadly that can only be done by removing the screen. I dont suggest you try, ive seen the disassembly video, it's tough, one time job and if it goes wrong it's bye bye screen.

I sent in my phone to the samsung store to check the charging port (which is also making some problems), and i requested them to check the copper shield.
while i was there, i realised there is another phone which has the same problem as me. could it be that all the A5 model has the same problem ? :/

I don't think it's the phone model, we would see more reports if it was, I would enquire if the other unit also had screen changed. If it has then one might assume pirate parts, no way to prove that without checking back of lcd for the oem barcode sticker. The is on possibility I only just thought of, a while back I had a client bring me a i9505 that the oem changed screen on, I just reread the emails between us and the fix was replacing the screen with a i9505 screen, the oem locally only supplies i9500 devices so they only fitted a i9500 screen, turns out there is a difference in the touch chip, I was able to prove this by attaching the touch only circuit from his old screen. No more random touches.
From this I can assume the various SM-A500 models use different touch chips. Or slightly different firmware in the chip, I have seen that before on the rock chip based tablets I support here.

My galaxy A5 have some battery issue. It won't charge after 88%,and didn't turn off after 2%. The phone is turn on over night at 2%..please help me regarding this issue.
I have had touchscreen problems with my Honor 5X for the past two or three months.
When I am charging, random inputs will register all over the screen if I try to touch something on the screen. For example, if I were to swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notifications or change some settings, part of that swipe might register, but other random touches will register all over the screen, pressing the back button, home button, or anything else in the process. Swipe gestures are basically unusable most of the time while charging, and single, point touches work half the time.
However, this issue only occurs if I let it charge for a while with the screen off before unlocking the phone and doing whatever I need to do. This issue has occurred on multiple charging currents, from the 0.5 A provided by computers to 1.5 A from wall chargers. It also happens across multiple ROMs and clean reflashes -- on the stock latest EMUI Marshmallow ROM to all the builds of CM13 so far.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you solve it? I've had the phone for four or five months already, so I'm not sure if returning it is an option.

This sometimes occur when the cable you use is in a bad condition or when use your phone in a position that would bend the cable's connecter, have you tried changing the cable or the whole charger, try not to Bend the cable too, that's what's coming up to my mind as a first possibility.

Only use original cable and charger .your problem ! it's common for everyone phone .

Thanks for the replies. I have tried several different chargers including the OEM charger. This issue seems to happen at least half the time I charge the phone, which is disappointing as my Galaxy S4 never had such problems across all chargers that I have used.
Maybe I'll hold on to the phone for a while longer and see if the issue goes away. I haven't noticed it in the past day.

The only thing left to think about is the hardware, maybe you accidentally exposed the USB port to water or something, as the time passes moist begins forming, which damages the port, it could be due to water or high humidity, I'm afraid you'll have to change the port, but do check all the other possibilities before opting for this one, good luck.
try cleaning the port on the phone?
ur phone screen is original ? OEM Charger Never did this unless u have bad USB Cable or bad Elect. Source ! .
Have this too sometimes. Experienced it also before in my old phone while charging in USB. I think it has something to do with the electric current.

When I charging my S9+ on a original wireless charger, the sensitivity is slightly disturbed. If barely touch the screen, it does not always work. Need to press a little harder.
With disconnected charger, and on a wired charger-all ok. Even light touches work fine.
PS. The screen film protector is pasted. But I do not think that it somehow influences.
Then you try to press harder and it takes it as a long press? Yup.
Try putting on the wireless charger and sending a message. The keyboard is completely useless. You just get random letters half the time.

You have the same issue?
Yes, I just installed a wireless charging cradle in my vehicle. I tried to use it after parking at my destination with it still in the cradle. It went poorly. I finally had to pull it out to do anything beyond the basics.

Just tested my 9+ on a Ravpower wireless charger. No issues with touch sensitivity or the keyboard at all.
Since the OP has a screen protector, have you increased the touch sensitivity (Settings / Advanced features / Touch sensitivity)?

I'm also having the same issue with touch screen when using my car wireless charger.
I also have a screen protector and have the sensitivity turned up. Another post on the same topic suggested there was less difficulties if the screen sensitivity was turned off.
Continuing to use the wireless cradle, I can say that the issues seem to vary. A number of times it worked without any major issues. Yet a few times there were some very major issues. I have not been able to identify any commonality though. If the issues are bad, I just unplug the power source.
Slight refinement.
I have problem if barely touch the screen (when phone on wireless charger). If I press as usual- touch work fine.
Without wireless charger even barely screen touches works without problems.
Just got a new Tab S7+, and I found that I was getting a heck of lot of repeating keys from the Samsung keyboard and the Gboard keyboard. Hadn't noticed any problems elsewhere.
I finally got fed up with it and get Touch Screen Test, and I can see clearly there that the screen is registering a touch with my finger maybe 0.5mm away from it. That fits with what I see on the keyboard, where I can get keys to fire with tiny finger movements just away from the screen.
I can't find any settings in Android 10 to adjust this. It's surprising for a table that's been out of the box a couple of weeks, and possibly it's worsening.
I had an idea after I'd posted this - I often use the tablet connected to the 25W charger that came with it. If I use it on battery, the problem is much diminished , and possibly gone. Electrical interference, then???
Is it a return-as-faulty, would you say? Any test options I can use to help with this?

Many thanks for that. My tablet has T970XXU1AT12 / T9700XM1AT12, no update showing as of a moment ago. I expect it will reach the UK soon and I will be able type!!
I think the touchscreen of this tablet does have some interesting behaviors, as I've also observed some touches being registered when my finger was a still a short distance away. I suspect this might have something to do with palm-related gestures (like palm swipe from right to left for screenshooting).
I play rhythm games on this tablet mostly, and I'm seeing some cases of taps not being registered properly (unexpected misses), which happened less often, when I was playing those same games on my phone (before migrating them to the tablet).
I don't constantly put the tablet on the charger, as I've lessons learned from my previous tablet, Pixel C, whose battery went swollen after having placed it constantly on the charger for quite a long while that I ended up replacing the swollen battery with a new one by myself. While it was a lot of effort in overall, but the swollen battery had made the glues between the screen and the chassis mostly visible, that removing the screen became much easier.
I couldn't confirm this issue.
I've installed a safety glas on top of the screen. Fingerprint and S Pen is working but I've no issue's with a to sensitive Display
Update came yesterday. Still not fixed
I'm also using a tempered glass screen protector and my personal experience with such protectors on different devices has always been positive, with few issues directly related to such protectors as long as the quality appears to be good enough. I don't connect the charger while gaming, but I do attach a Type-c audio cable for connecting the tablet to desktop speakers.
On the other hand, some lower quality charging cables would certainly cause issues with touchscreens regardless of device. Usually with stock chargers and cables (or those from very reputable vendors) you can mostly rule out this possibility.
