Since many days the unlocking option has not been working on the site.
https://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin/unlock/index
Tried different browsers and different computers, error 404 or simply page not found error. Great!
Also, speaker volume way to low, any way to boost volume?
Previously I was using Tru edia SRS labs app to boost audio on my Huawei Mate 9, however, it is not working on the Mate 10 pro.
This was the app: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/themes/app-enhance-mate-9-audio-quality-t3650421
Any other alternative?

They seem to have taken the site down...I guess they were seeing too many bricked phones. Anyway, try the chat option in HiCare app. They asked for the IMEI and Product ID and sent me the bootloader unlock code within a day.

They are updating it or something. It should be back in May (someone asked by email so I can't provide any proof on this claim). But chat or email works fine to get unlock code
So I chatted with them and they couldn't give me the code but told me to email them. When I emailed them at the address provided ([email protected]) it came back as undeliverable so I chatted with someone again and they gave me a phone number. The phone number, however, is for a Canadian telecom company called Futuretel who I've never heard of and were absolutely no help at all.
What should I do?

Try [email protected], that's what most have used. Not sure though if it's region specific, if so you could ask for a valid email I guess.

If you have gone through the other posts about sim unlock the T-Mobile LG V10, you must have come across users complaining that the Device Unlock app as well as the third party unlockers are not able to sim unlock some LG V10 phones, predominantly the ones that are purchased from the LG Partner Purchase Programs. Just want to check if there is any ROM that can help overcome this or can give the device unlock code popup when tried through the dialer? It's such a disappointment that I couldn't use this beautiful device on my network and struggling to find out a way for this unlocking.
For users who are having the same issue, do you think we need to go through an FCC Complaint for this?
I guess calling T-Mobile is of no help, no way they can add the IMEIs of such devices to the database?
I've been meaning to suggest this for a while. It's a huge longshot, because it seems to be limited to Samsung devices, but this fellow is able to unlock lots of their models by himself. I thought possibly someone could contact him and see if he might know anything about LG devices, or be up to the challenge of maybe tinkering with it. Wish I could be more helpful..

@YrrchSebor I checked with the developer on this.unfortunately he cannot unlock lg v10 ?
This has been mostly successful for people: https://www.unlockbase.com/phone-unlocking-service/tmobile-device-unlock-app-official-unlock/

That sucks... oh well, we tried!
Hmm, I started a PayPal dispute with the seller and he declined mentioning PayPal will not consider buyer's remorse. Also since it was never used on a T-Mobile account, it isn't register in their databases. I am planning of taking a 100$ prepaid account, use it for 3 days, apply for unlock and then escalate the claim to PayPal as hardware issue. Will that work? Did anyone try this way with PayPal?
Did you try activating the phone by buying prepaid card? How did it go? I am facing same issue and looking for solution as well.

Call and email her. She is the one to make it happen. Just don't waste her time of you don't qualify for an unlock.
Got my cellphone unlocked finally. I filed a complaint on FCC complaints portal. I got a call from t mobile within a week. The caller took my IMEI and asked me to wait till further communication. Today I got a call from t mobile telling me that they were able to whitelist my IMEI. I tried the unlock app and my phone was unlocked.

Yep seems this is the way to do it.
Huawei will stop providing bootloader unlock codes. If you want code you have 2 months to request it, after it they will stop this service. :silly::silly:

Thanks. Well that sucks
Luckily have already requested mine and awaiting it.
But if I need to get a replacement phone in future I wont be able to root
Last Huawei I get then...
Got my code yesterday. But this is probably my first and last Huawei phone.
And DC Phoenix developers will raise their prices for it...I bet DC Phoenix is developed by Huawei.
I don't know why phone manufacturers do this. First it was Apple - the never ending war againt Jailbreakers. Instead of registering the phone for voided warranty and denying service for jailbroken iDevices, they fight againt ist.
Now Huawei does this - it's nearly the same and for me the rooting "freedom" on Android was the main reason to switch from iOS.
So, first and last Huawei I've had...after waiting 1.5 years for good custom rom development and good community support for EMUI I will choose another manufacturer - is the question: which one? Nevermind.
My main reason against iPhone too, locking down to only get everything through them and charging through the nose for the privilege...
OnePlus seems like a good way to go at the moment. I am quite tempted to go back to my HTC days as far as I know they are one of the better most lenient I have come across and their phones seem to be getting to the top of the pile again stat-wise...
i got my code instantly from the site. Stupid move by Huawei. One of the main reasons I got this phone was because i could unlock the the bootloader. If they dont change their decision this will be my last Huawei.
Are the unlock codes a alpha numeric 16 character code ? I just want to double check the code i got is correct.

Mine is 15 digits, not letters.
Well that is terrible news...
Now here's another thing, my wife has a p10, I haven't rooted yet. Figured I'd wait till her warranty was near it's end to avoid any hassle if it needed servicing.
I went to that link in the op, thing I noticed is that when trying to register there is no option to select Canada or the US from the country list. Did those of you that have used that site, did you have prior accounts created, or does the country matter?
I would like to have the unlock code for later use.
If not, I guess I'm looking for another carrier to buy out this contract to get another phone.
I was rather impressed with her phone, and would have liked one too once my Sammy's screen kicked the bucket.
Now I have no idea what phone is worth getting for modding. Seems like very few options left...
Myself, I ditched apple because jailbreaking became an impossibility. I just can't fathom owning a device without administrative privileges. Plus if it weren't for custom ROMs, my phone would have received no further security updates. This is horrible business practice. At least windows gives its users years of monthly updates.
This is indeed ****ty news...

I sent an email through this
I had to send a couple before they got back to me with this...
"Thank you for contacting Huawei Customer Care.
We have sent you a email in which we said the following. It seems that it didn't end up to you, we're sorry about that. Please fill in the following and send us the reply.
But, in response, please note that we can, of course, generate and provide the bootloader code for your device.
However, please keep in mind that unlocking the device's bootloader voids its warranty and might cause numerous software issues (unlocking any device's bootloader is considered to be software manipulation).
Should you still require the code, please provide us with the following details:
Full Name (if applicable):
Email address (if applicable):
Device model:
Serial number:
IMEI:
Product ID - dialing *#*#1357946#*#*. If not available, the invoice should be attached."
After sending that about week later got the u/l code

Edit: Wife contacted Huawei by email. First response was their branch couldn't help and gave a link to contact the same domain name with a different contact name, however the contact is non existent. (So far twice they responded with a non existent contact)
We're waiting to see if they respond with a working contact.
If not, we'll look at another carrier buying out the contract and get another phone I guess. It's sad because it is a nice phone.
Edit 2: not looking like we're getting an answer.

That is concerning, now I want to test the code but I like others was going to wait and unlock. I heard others are getting the code by email, but mine was given instantly. Have others got it instantly? I just don't want to assume the code is legit then when I do go to use it it's not and it's to late to get one. Is there a way to test it without actually unlocking it. I really don't feel like wiping my data, just to check it

Just enter the unlock command with your code. If your code is working there will be a message for factory reset, there you need to press "Yes" or "No". So no factory reset if you don't confirm it.
If the code isn't working you'll get adb error "invalid command"

Why on earth would you PAY to get something off some (shady?) site that you can get for FREE through official means
Like I just posted in another thread:

Just request it via email from any Honor Support site, Germany for instance sends them out. All they need is your IMEI and S/N
The email for the German support site: [email protected]
You should be able to write it in English, if you want to be on the safe side you can simply run it through Google translate and paste the German translation into your email too :fingers-crossed:

That's BS, sorry.
The official codes sent by Huawei employees are the proper codes to unlock your bootloader. I have unlocked mine just fine with the code I received from Huawei/Honor support and so have countless others.
I have no idea which codes you get from that other site after paying - of course they might work. But the PROPER way is to go through Huawei ... and most importantly: It's FREE!

I know that the code numbers supported by the official site are free.
But the product I bought is not recognizable.
The cause is unknown, but it is a rebranded product.
I think I do not seem to be able to recognize it on the rebranded device.

If I do not use money, I will not be able to unlock it forever.
The reason is that the code number given by Huawei staff is different.
The code number is not recognized on my device.

No idea what you bought then, but for any NORMAL Huawei/Honor product the official free codes work just fine.
So please don't confuse users by saying they don't - you're a special case and everybody else will do just fine without paying money and letting a total stranger get full access to their computer (which btw I would NEVER do and neither should anybody else!).

I understand that there is an exceptional error on my device.
There may be people who have had the same problem.
I want to let inform them know.
Hi all,
I'm in a bit of a predicament and I am hoping that someone here can help me out.
I am located in the US. I imported a Mate 10 ALP-L29 from Hong Kong about a month ago. I have tried probably 30+ times to get a bootloader unlock code from Huawei with no luck. I've been using this website: https://www.emui.com/en/unlock_detail
I log in.
I enter Since EMUI 5.0. I enter the serial, enter the IMEI (I have tried both), Then I enter the product ID. I write in the CAPTCHA, hit enter, and I am met with: If you have any questions about the unlock code application, please contact us.
I tried to contact them but the email address on the site is invalid. I contacted the US customer service. They told me that they are aware of issues and to try again later. I read on here that another person had luck using UK support so I tried them. They told me to contact Hong Kong Support. I contacted Hong Kong Support who told me that they cannot provide an unlock code.
I signed up under a different email claiming to be from Hong Kong. Same result.
I thought maybe Chrome was possibly at fault so I tried on Firefox, and Microsoft Edge on my PC,. No luck. I tried on Firefox Focus and Chrome on my phone. No luck.
I feel like I am running out of time, and I specifically purchased this phone so that I could unlock it and use either Lineage OS or another rom. I only have a few days left. Can anyone think of anything that I am doing wrong or can recommend any ways to get a code. Does anyone here want to give it a shot? If you are able to get an unlock code for me, I would happily make a donation to XDA or your paypal. I really don't want to use a 3rd party service unless I am forced to.
Thanks for any help!
I had a similar issue getting an unlock code last year, turns out something was wonky with my huawei account. Made a new one and I got a code just fine. This might not be the case for you, but you can give it a shot?
I tried that once and said that I was registering in Hong Kong. I'll try that again tomorrow. Where did you register out of?
Be sure to pick up the pace with getting your bootloader unlock code. The service will close in a couple days if I'm not mistaken or outdated. (Hopefully I am outdated and they will keep the service up)
Someone helped me out this morning. I got the unlock and I'll probably install Lineage OS or something else in a few weeks when I have a good bit of downtime.
Hi,
How did you get help?
I tried contacting the support but every time they just told me that the service was working even though it is clearly not working for my ALP L29.
Thanks
