any tips or tricks to minimize ram usage ?
as miui 9 is eating great amount of ram, almost 2-2.2 gb !!!

My last phone before v10 was Nexus 4 which was amazing on the ram side because of the stock firmware(400-600mb) , now on my v10 its 2.5 GB , now i can stand a non fastbootmode phone but this i can't stand , can you tell me how to reduce my ram usage into a reasonable amount ?
Android uses ram efficiently. Unused ram is wasted ram basically. Just because you have higher ram usage..it has nothing to do with your phone being slower

With 4 gb of ram, there is nothing to worry about.
I was on miui8, where i used to get 1.3 to 1.7 Gb of ram free on my redmi note 4 mido 3gb ram phone. But on every los14 based rom i get only 700 to 900 mb ram free. Does anyone knoe how can i get more free ram on custom roms?? Is there any app or tweak which can free ram, please tell.

Why do you think more free RAM improves anything?

Exactly the same question I was going to ask. Forget free RAM. Forget RAM management apps. Forget closing apps to free up more RAM. Linux memory management is already quite efficient. Your utilities are not going to improve it (either at all, or by any significant amount).
That's it. Free RAM is unused RAM. It's useless until it is used... Any device has inbuilt memory management that cares about the memory needs of running processes. If your device shows free RAM of 1GB all the time than your device has 1GB more RAM than it needs.
Why you want more free ram? You bought a phone with 3GBs of ram just to use half of it, why?
They think its windows, when you dont have free ram anymore it will lags or out of memory lol...
I used Roehsoft ram expander, swapper for root . Well I hear the Samsung fold has 12 gigs ram . Well brought my older phone higher virtually!

I bought the 8gb RAM version of realme xt, but only 4.28gb is available out of 8gb.
Is this a issue or the color OS is really this heavy?

I agree with you. I have the 6GB version and usally about ~2,4GB of free RAM. No problems with multi tasking
I cant understend how the RAM Is management in this phone.
800mb RAM avaible (with no One app open)
3.5gb RAM Total
But the phone Is 4gb version.
I see that of i open pubg at max settings It Is smooth and the RAM still Is 800mb.
The problem Is that the phone in dailyuse its not really smooth and fast like it should be.
Do you advice me to change rom?
