Just flashed AT&T PH1 on my replacement Verizon Note 7. All they changed was the battery. Device shipped with Verizon's PH1 firmware. Happy rooting!
EDIT:: DON'T UPDATE TO PHE OTA FIRMWARE OR ELSE YOU WILL LOSE ROOT CAPABILITY AND NOT BE ABLE TO DOWNGRADE TO PH1. ALL REPLACEMENT NOTE 7 ARE SHIPPED WITH PH1 (rootable) FIRMWARE STILL SO DON'T UPDATE.
I was not able to root ... tried 4 times.. was rooted with last Note 7. which method did you use? I get an error when flashing the Sprint firmware in odin.

its because along with the green battery, AT&T's update includes a new bootloader and checks that blocks Odin from downgrading the bootloader. in short, they patched the root method.

If you took the PHE firmware update you will not be able to flash any other carriers' PH1 firmware or root.

Thanks for the update. That reallys sucks.. The APH1 ROM was very nice and basically you can switch to any carrier you want.
This will kill some of the sales of Note 7. I hope Samsung is listening..

No. No one has uploaded AT&T PHE firmware yet unfortunately
Has anyone pulled the PHE software from another note 7 and tried to flash it to the AT&T Note7. Just wondering if it's still possible.

I'm waiting for AT&T PHE to be uploaded so I can flash onto my vzw note 7
I have an international S9+ (SM-965F/DS, 256G) and noticed there is no WiFi calling option under Connections/More Connection Settings (or anywhere else). What's up with that? The phone passed all authenticity checks I threw at it, including working Iris scanner and dual-aperture camera, so I really don't think it's a fake.
Of note, I have 2 T-Mobile Sims in it, and everything else seems to be working fine.

Unless you unlock the bootloader and flash the T-Mobile CSC, WiFi calling, VoLTE, video calling, and RCS will not work on the SM-G965F.
Wow, really? Where can I get TMo firmware? And if I do that, will it trip Knox and kill Samsung Pay? Also, will I get Tmo OTA updates after that? Thanks.

That is incorrect! I have it working perfectly fine on my Canadian version 965W. Did you flash to U1 and stay there or did you flash to the TMB U firmware? I have tried both but went back to U1 because of the updates contain the v2 bootloader. I don't have the option to turn it on in U1 but when I connect to WiFi, WiFi Calling automatically is enabled and yes, I have made calls over WiFi to confirm it works.

Thanks, I'll correct my post to say SM-G965F instead of "any non-US model". It seems that the SM-G965W firmware contains all the T-Mobile bits (eg. /system/framework/TmoWfcUtils.jar), while the SM-G965F does not.

The Canadian and US model are essentially identical.
Our exynos devices are vastly different but also superior in many ways. No locked bootloader for us, snap doesn't even have root!

Got the same issue. I'm in the UK and it's not there. One of the reasons I bought it was because I thought it had it - my work colleague has it on EE and has the option.
Mine is the SM-G965F.

I found the settings you are looking for last night. Instead of being in the Mobile Network tab, like normal Android. Go into the dialer, tab the 3 dots in the top right corner, go to settings, and there they are.

In the UK, you will need to have a "branded" handset.
My S9+ was originally from Vodafone, but I'm using it on Three.
To get WiFI calling, I flashed the stock Three firmware.
You can probably get away with a BTU firmware, and flashing your carriers CSC, but I couldn't be bothered as there was very little bloatware on the Three firmware.

Dave

Ah - well that explains it!
Do you have linkage to the Three 9+ firmware?
I have heard there is a way to change the CSC without rooting, unlocking bootloader, or tripping Knox. I want to avoid that in order to continue using Samsung Pay. If I absolutely have to choose, I will root to get WiFi calling, but if it's possible to get it without rooting, I'm going to find a way!

Mixing and matching firmware can be hit and miss. I wouldn't swap Exynos bootloaders with SnapDragon or vice versa though. The CSC contains the bulk of the carrier related settings and apps. There are usually two CSC files. One will wipe, one won't. The CSC_HOME doesn't wipe but may cause some issues. The other will wipe, at least to some degree. You also might want to look at some of the Combination ROM's available to see if they have all of what you need.
In order to flash without tripping things. The modded or patched version of ODIN is needed.

So if I wanted to flash the US T-Mobile stock firmware, how would I do it? Where would I even get the firmware? It's not on sammobile as far as I can see.
So I flashed the XEU most recent firmware - released a couple days ago. My device is SM-G965F BTU. Downloaded via SamFirm and flashed the four files with Odin.
Now have VoWifi and VoLTE.

Good News!! The brand new XEU stock firmware with may security patch for the S9+ works with WiFi calling and Volte so no need to use the three firmware anymore. I don't know about TMobile but the changelogs stated improvements to Volte and VoWiFI so my guess is that lots of carriers where added to get it work in the multi CSC. Btu for some reason uses a different non multi CSC so don't use BTU
Anyone tried that ROMs? I would like to know the differences between EEA and Global ROM
THANKS!
EEA includes a few certificates required by the european regulations, otherwise, they are the same ROM with different version number.

in terms of release of updates and security patches, are they at the same level? or is it better to stay on the Global normal?

A friend mine bought a Global version and came with EEA.
I think is because that his LTE not working well with same Carrier that Mine(global version) works.
How can we flash global rom in his EEA phone?

Can you investigate and elaborate a bit more. I have EEA an I cover all the LTE channels available around me (LTE 3/7/8/28) LTE+ checked on Band 3.
(Use Network info cell lite or Signal gurou if rooted.)

Yes of course but...
1st: unlock bootloader (all your data wipe!)
2nd: flash EEA by Mi flashtool. You can lock bootloader or stay on unlocked.
** Remember: don't lock bootloader if you change from china to Global/EEA/India/Russian or change any of them to china!!!
Change and locking bootloader from EEA or India or Russian to Global and reverse is completely safe.

First time, I have to wait 168h before unlocking it !
Did re-lock unlock is infinite after that or you have to wait 168h every time you want to unlock bootloader of same phone ?

Hey I was wondering if my phone is rootable and how to install TWRP on my Galaxy S8+ SM-G955U Snapdragon
Would it be possible to do this after Verizon just released a patch a couple days ago (Early February 2020) and how would I go about doing this (want Lineage OS or CyanogenMod installed.
Thank you

Yes cause your network unlocked that has nothing to do with phone mods, you don't even have oem unlock in developer settings and your bootloader is locked and the most important all S8 American phones can't have the bootloader unlocked which means no magisk, no TWRP and no custom roms you can't even flash a GSI u need to do research when your getting a phone so u can know if its modable or not

Hi,
Im currently in United States, but Im european.
I would like to buy, and then root S23U.
Ive seen offers for "International SM-S918B/DS"
I know that SM-S918U (USA) and Canada variants have bootloader locked and therefore cant be rooted with magisk.
If i buy SM918B/DS on Amazon, will it come with unlocked/unlockable bootloader?
