I also face same issue in asop based Rom and lineage based Rom has same problem volte video call drop and camera keep stopping .Better to stick with stock one and use magisk to customise .
I don't have such as those problems
corners are little off on any custom rom and I would like to see developers get the full gesture of the stock miui and port it to their roms
it's a hard work but worth it at least for me!
I do have problem with VoLTE.
VoLTE only works for outgoing call, for incoming call it always fallback to 3G.
Already try 4 different 8.1 ROMs, all the same.
This morning I try to flash back with stock MIUI global, VoLTE working fine for both outgoing and incoming.
Then try to flash with 8.1 ROM, the issue still the same.
Really appreciate if someone know how to dealing with this issue, as I don't want to use any MIUI based but also need the VoLTE working properly.

Hello, I've had a problem with the latest galaxy s3 I9300 build (ending in 8)
I'm on three and when making outgoing calls both me and the person on the other end get static and distortion. This is on landlines and mobiles. I tried a settings patch for hd voice but it wouldn't install. I have is this an ongoing problem, or is there a solution? I thanks
I'm on Three and running a Modaco rom with the same issue! Call audio was previously fine which leads me think this might be a network issue...
Update: Scratch that, reading around it seems this is a known bug, fix seems to be to re-flash stock and try CM again..
Still there
Have updated to most recent rev from stock and problem persists. It goes away whenever I turn mobile data off curiously, but this is impractical.
Thanks for responding
Interesting, I've spent most of the day baking and flashing the S3. It's not a kernel issue or a modem issue, I'm now using Modaco TW prebake with XLF5 modem and CF Root. No bug, but the moment I flash a vanilla pre-bake or a vanilla rom (CM9/AOPK) call audio is distorted. :/
Problem Persists with latest Nightly
I tried flashing the latest Nightly yesterday and the problem persists. I can no longer disable the distortion by disabling mobile data either. I am almost convinced that it is something to do with the Mobile data settings though.
Every Vanilla Rom
Confirmed, it's every vanilla rom I try too. CM9/AOKP etc. When I return to stock, or go Omega 7 the problem is none existant.
What did you guys do to resolv this? I was on RC2 and updated to 04.08. and now I do have those distortions.
I tried to change the radio but nothing really helps. Any hint on this?
Hello everyone,
Just got my S3 ( i9300 ) and surely enough flashed it to latest cm stable from their website which is 10.2.
Everything works, but I have this strange issue with incoming calls. When i answer the call, I cant hear the other person through the front speaker. I need to enable the back speaker and disable it to get sound on the front one. Sometimes the sound would be distorted. This does not happen on outgoing calls, they work perfectly fine.
I later flashed kitkat nightly and it had the same issue.
Problem goes away if i recover to stock. Unfortunately, i can't stand the damn thing.
Baseband v: I9300XXUGMK6, which is the newest for my region and also seems to be most common.
I tried googling, but couldnt find this specific glitch.
Any suggestions would be appriciated.
Thanks
Same problem, same story

I had the 2.4.5 installed and had to switch because of the issue, so i switched to archidroid 1.x version and problem was gone, now on archiport(ultimarom beta1) the problem is there again. Thats real sad because the rom is such awesome
So i think sammy had done something in their 4.3 version that fixed that

That's really odd, since I've been using Archi ever since I first flashed it ( at the time I believe it was 2.3.x ), and I'm a happpy user since then.
try dialing outgoing call to whatever number a couple of times and then get some incoming calls?
And yes, Archidroid is awesome, has everything you could possibly want ( the only exception being MHL )

After i had a go with Omni, I can't think of any reason why should I switch back to CM. Arhci mentioned CM's support and developer base as a reason for the switch, will see...
I use my phone at work quite heavily and it's just impossible for me to switch back and forth speakers.
Found something interesting in kryten2k35 thread... Will report

From the past few days I'm observing that people can't hear me clearly until and unless I put the mic very near to my mouth from normal position. But when I tried recording with mic from a normal it clearly record the audio without any problem.
Moreover my in ear volume becomes low too.
I tried flashing several custom eui based Roms and nougat Roms and kernel. The problem remains same. Is it a hardware issue or some software issue?
Anyone?

Hello it is a pity that no one can help us.
Have the same problem.
Think it is a software problem, because if I save my backup over TWRP everything is okay.
Can u share your twrp backup?

Same problem.
Hello, unfortunately does not go.
But the idea is not bad.
The thought that someone installed a system fresh.
And then upload it as Twrp backup (upload)
Let's see if someone finds.
If it works it can help many.
Same problem here... first i thought it is a hardware-problem, but when i "normal" call someone without BT or freespeaking he could hear me clear.
But every ROM i tested had this issue....
What ROM are you using where it is working?

Hi guys, I got an issue with my poco f1 which i bought recently.
The issue is that on speaker mode for video calls (Skype, IMO, Whatsapp). The person on the other side is not able to hear my voice completely. They claim that my sound breaks and it is impossible for them to understand the full sentence.
Anyone faced similar issue?
first of all
always mention what ROM you are on? "recently bought" indicate you are on MIUI however need to know the build (china stable / global stable / developer?) etc
also if this problem is only at VOIP apps? or with network calls also?

Hi,
So i own a poco f1. I have installed a number of custom roms on this phone. But the reason I had to switch everytime is because of a constant voicecall issue. The issue, muffled voice heard from people i call and vice-versa and my voice is not understandable. I noticed this issue to persist only on custom roms as all miui roms (current 10.3.8 global) seems to not have this issue.
The build.prop tweak (disabling fluencetype to 'none') also didnt work.
And so, here I am, I guess.....
Thanks in advance

I'm dealing the same f4cking problem, I think the phone is using top much as main mic and bottom as noise cancelling and it's a pain in the as5
Have you tried LineageOS? I was thinking of installing it, but I won't if there are problems with voice calls...
Cheers

if build.prop fails and nothing makes sense (like how bricks could technically be domesticated rocks)...
use pixel experience, it worked for this device. (....bye bye customizations)
sorry for the trouble and do share if u got a better solution. see u around.
