Either reinstall the firmware via adb sideload, or if you want to root again, downgrade to 4.5.3 using the adb sideload and then follow one of the tutorials to root and install another lollipop Rom.

I have tried to run:
adb sideload update-kindle-20.4.5.3.bin
but got:
E:failed to mount /cache
E:failed to set up expected mounts for install; aborting
Installation aborted.

Any Help Please: Unbrick my Moto E XT1021

Hello everyone,
I am trying to unbrick my Moto E XT1021 but so far nothing work. Here are the infos:
Status: Device is unlocked (Status Code: 3), rooted, and CWM Recovery (v6.0.4.9) is installed.
Initially, I installed Kitkat Rom from this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7S5WmlPgrI, but after finishing, OTA showed me an update to 5.0.2, which I did. Everything work fine for about a month until last week where my phone just stop working.
Problem: Device is stuck on the Motorola Logo, bootloader loop.
Tested Solutions so far:
1- I tried to restore the stock firmware from the bootloader mode, but I always failed. I am applying the procedure given in:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759495
but it always failed. The method is working and the phone's screen some instructions are appearing, but between them, I notice in red/pink color that the phone is saying:
....
hab check failed for boot
......
hab chck failed for recovery
2- I also tried to install zip from sdcard from the CWM Recovery, or even to simply wipe cache, .... but strangely I am getting error on CWM as following:
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_install
E: Can't open/cache/recovery/last_install
and when I tried to install zip from sideload, I am also getting an error:
E:Error in /tmp/update.zip
(Status 7)
So.....basically, I do not know what to do or try more. Any idea. Please Help ?!!!
Thanks

I tried again using this time twrp-2.7.1.0-condor.img, but still I am getting on the phone's screen the same message:
"Mismatched partition size (recovery)",
and on the adb (CMD) window, I am getting:
<bootloader> Failed to erase partition
<bootloader> Failed to flash partition recovery
Failed <remote failure>
Any ideas ?!!!. Please Help !!!
Try ro use twrp 2.5.8 or above instead and write the following command in cmd
Fastboot boot recovery.img
In this way you're not owerwriting the recovery and if it boots up fine then install the stock firmware
Peace✌
Hit thanks pls

Ur internal storage is gone...consult ur nearby Motorola service centre
To confirm whether ur internal is working or not flash a boot logo via adb, if it fails to install then ur internal is gone!! :/

Unable to mount E:/cache

*** TAMPERED ***
*** UNLOCKED ***
ZARA_CL PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.22.0000
I was having difficulty doing a backup with TWRP prior to attempting S-off
I thought SuperSU may be a problem so I attempted to do an update. I am not able to load the SuperSU Binary and/or do not how to properly install it with TWRP.
When I attempt TWRP recovery I get the following errors:
"No os installed! Are you sure you wish to reboot"
updating partition details
E: unable to mount /cache
E: unable to mount /system
E: unable to mount /cache
Kernel does not have support for reading cont exts.
unable to boot /cache
running boot script
finished running boot script
unable to mount E: /cache
When I power down and reboot I get a # in the status bar that wants me to load the SuperSU update which does not seem to be working.
How do I fix/mount the partition as it stands TWRP will not allow me to select the Cache partition?
Do I need to restore a back-up?
Factory reset?
Install the latest OTA that is waiting on the status bar?
Thanks

Mounting problem

Hello
I am having some troubles with rooting and installing a custom rom. The basic problem ist, that I am getting the E:Unable to mount '/system' in TWRP recovery.
My bootloader was unlocked with Flashtool and the TWRP wash flashed with the same tool.
I've done some research and it was suggested to flash a different recovery. So I went with Caynogen to install the rom and got this report: set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
By coincidence I noticed, that both recoverys are on the phone, Caynogen and TWRP. Luckly I can choose wchich one to use/boot.
In adb shell when I try to mount the system with mount -w /dev/block/platform/7824900.sdhci/by-name/system /system I got this:
mount -w /dev/block/platform/7824900.sdhci/by-name/system on /system failed: invaild argument
At this point I don't know what should I try next?
I was looking for solutions on the forum and I wasn't that lucky or maybe just not smart enough to understand what to do.
For any advice, links or tutorials I will be very greatfull!

LG V30 Bricked??

I am stuck with only recovery (TWRP) and bootloader. When i try to flash a new ROM twrp says failed to mount /system (invalid argument), and when i do mount system by changing /system from ext4 to fat then back to ext4 and mounting system and reboot to system, my phone instead goes back to bootloader. I cannot think of anything else that could solve this please help.

Why just don't you try this step by step URL,or just flash your region KDZ simple..
Put your phone into download mode (shut off phone, hold volume up, insert usb cable) and flash with LGUP.
