Hi there
I made a backup of my apps on stock rom and updated to custom rom lineage.
I can install the app, it runs, but I can't access the preferences.
You can open menu info/settings. But tapping on preferences, pen mode, quick tour etc, doesn't do anything.
I would like to get access to canvas size.
Any ideas?

Ok. I am a newb that thought I was fairly smart until today. Thanks in advance for any help I get.
I just bought a used Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3113. It was rooted with CWM 6.0.1.1 and Android 4.1.? Jelly Bean installed. I don't know exactly what I did in the CWM recovery menu but now my home screen is completely black and a lot of functions do not work. I can not open any apps or swiftkey keyboard, enable wallpaper, calculate storage space, etc., etc.
I can access the settings menu and app manager. All my apps are still there, including the ones I installed yesterday. My unlock PIN is there and works and my "If lost call..." message is still on the lock screen.
Please help. I just want to go back to using jelly bean and accessing my apps.
Hi guys, have been searching for a solution to this for days now.
Background
I've had an android application developed which I am now preparing to roll out to our customers. We are supplying the software pre-loaded on 2012 edition Galaxy Note 10.1 3G's.
So far I have rolled out approx 30 units. But this is where I need help. I currently take approx 15mins per tablet to set it up - For each one I:
Turning tablet on
Get past all the initial login screens, dropbox, samsung update, google account etc
Change about 10 settings (sound, display, lockscreen etc)
Delete all the default homescreens and set a new wallpaper (copy a file)
Install approx 4 applications
This is both error prone, and time consuming. So I've been looking for a way to speed things up. Initially tried root > nandroid backup > restore via recovery (not ideal) - then tried some backup apps Titanium, Settings backup etc which didn't seem to work (root required for most)
Help
My latest attempt is backing up and restoring via ADB. Things are finally looking positive down this route. I am able to do a full backup, and then a full restore to the second tablet. The apps are there, the wallpapers changed, the settings have mostly been applied (some missing) but the problem comes when I restart for the first time. Instantly bootloops and I cannot stop it without a factory reset.
I'm wondering if Anyone might have some clues for me as to what I can do to stop it boot looping. Could I backup JUST the necessary files, instead of a full backup (e.g. just settings, and my apps etc?) How do I do this? I'm not super flash with scripting but it would be ideal if I was able to automate the process a little.
Any help is Greatly appreciated at this point. Thanks
After updating my HTC One M8 with the newest ROM (Android Revolution HD) I have to face to some problems:
The swipe gesture to show the system buttons to exit applications in full-screen (immersive mode) was not working. Moreover, some apps like Seeder was crashing every time.
After two days of googling, flashing, trials and errors I have found the cause.
After flashing the new ROM I have restored all the apps with data using the Titanium Backup. Then I have restored the data of the system apps. And that was causing the problems.
If you restore the data of the system apps from an older system select only those you really need (SMS, contacts, etc.).
My stylo (ms63110j) is rooted. Yes it is my phone. I lock myself out on purpose as a challenge. 10e firmware was easy I found a link in keyboard settings so used that to access the stock browser and used the browser as a file explorer (file://) to access quick shortcuts apk on my sd card.
I can install apps and use send commands in download mode. I have installed quickshortuts.apk via push/send commands but I can't start it while the LG setup wizard is running. So what are my options.
So far i have tried "--wipe_data" command nothing happened.
I tried flashing twrp but again nothing happened (probably because of locked boot loader on 10j firmware)
I tried activating usb debugging which works but then you need to tick a box on the phone and it wouldn't prompt so that was a fail. So i cant run commands while phone is on only in download mode.
I installed nova launcher in the hopes it would prompt with "set default launcher" and I could choose nova instead of lg setup wizard. It didn't.
So is there a command to set nova as default launcher on boot? Is there a command to factory reset from settings not the button combo method (button combo reset is what triggers this) can I have quickshortcut.apk launch at boot or a browser would be equally helpful. I can access recent apps menu if I can get it running in the background.
have you got any other weird and wonderful ideas.
I've obviously got the google account, a twrp backup and a factory kdz so don't mind if your method bricks it. It's just a bit of fun.
GOT IT.
Haha it was almost too easy again. All the old tricks are patched. I ended up going into keyboard settings and clicked on the language... option. I clicked around a bit, sellected a few languages clicked some of the gear icons etc when suddenly a metropcs splash screen popped up. It was full of data links so I was able to access an internet browser then download quickshortcutmaker apk and well you'll work it out from there.
Hello Everyone,
Everytime I turned on mobile data or wifi, my phone started installing apps in background and advertisement prompt up on the main screen. App like adultVictoria, twitter (5kb), HD etc. installed as system app and I have to forced stop and disabled them because those apps are become system apps and I cannot uninstall it from my phone.
I was totally helpless and then I installed Kingo One click root.apk and uninstalled them successfully. But problem still persist. Suddenly my screen back to home screen and there are many box message of apps that says stopped working and I have to tap ok ok ok almost whole day.
I finally decided to wipe all data and partition and install custom ROM i.e. CM13 and accordingly I downloaded it. I tried to flash custom recovery in my rooted phone but unfortunately couldn't able to do it. Under default recovery system it says "failed to verify signature" etc. etc.
My phone is Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos i9082
Can anyone help me here?
Flashfy, ROM manager all apk failed to serve the purpose.
