Hello.
The smarphone screen often hangs when I open an incoming message from WhatsApp. The problem repeats over 1.5 years on the different smartphones. I changed the sim and SD cards, reflashed the smartphone, changed the Google Account and many other things I tried. This problem did not appear (as I understand) only when Google services installed into the phone where services were not originally installed (e.g. Meizu, Xiaomi) or if WhatsApp is not installed from thePlay market and is not upgreding.

Hello,
I have just formatted my phones memory to factory settings and then installed some programs / applications etc...
Anyway, since I did not take back up, all of my contacts are gone as well as my other data.
After formatting, there were just e-mail addresses of my friends and nothing more. I could not understand from where they came from. My first question is this.
Later on, I added some numbers manually and some numbers by copying from my sim. But, I had changed my mind and decided to carry all contacts from my previous phone to HD2. In order not to be confused I deleted all contacts. Now, When I pick a phone number from history and go to call history my phone crashes :S.
Sorry, I have told a very long story but now summing up: What should I do if my phone crashes every time when I open call history of a number (even it is saved or unknown number)
An additional question: I have installed lots of hot fixes from HTC's support page. Is it possible those hot fixes made my phone slower / confused? Moreover, I could not setup all of the hot fixes from HTC's since it says my phone is not compatible with those hot fixes :S Is it possible those installations made my phone crash when I open Call History?
Please help me, If I cannot solve the problem I'll go mad :S
Thanx in advance,
Problems are solved after a new ROM
Hello, my name is Calin and this is my first post on this forum. Even though I have been reading this forum since I bought my galaxy s3 (don't think at me as a regular user, I only visit this forum when I have a problem, since my device is not rooted many of the things aren't useful for me around here).
As a regular user as I am, I didn't have to post a new thread to find a solution to my problem, but this time it seems that I just have to. Before I proceed I just have to say that it drives me crazy, the fact that I don't know what the problem MIGHT (not is) be. I am clueless.
In the past 1-2 weeks I haven't installed any new app, from google play or from internet (.apk, yes I did this with few of the apps). Even though I have installed apps with an .apk installer (from the market) I have always scanned the file on my pc, and then after I installed it, AVG scanned it on the phone too.
Today, I was browsing the internet (9gag to be more specific), one of my daily/hourly routine. If it matters, I was in the bank and I had a strong network signal (I wasn't using wi-fi). Suddenly, after a few minutes of browsing my phone didn't recognize my sim and asked for a reboot. I clicked on continue (to reboot). After it rebooted (note that I had a lock screen numeric password: 3258) my lock screen password changed from a numeric one to a letter based one, which, ofcourse, I have no idea which is. I have tried all the passwords that came into my mind, I thought it may have sync with some of my google accounts. It didn't. I have tried to enter 3258 password (I can enter numbers too). It didn't work.
Even if it is locked, it's just some kind of screen lock because I can see apps running on background (like 3g watch dog) and I can receive calls (can answer them but I can't call back) and messages (can't read them). The only things that I can do with my phone right now are: Switch Airplane Mode: On and Off, activate or deactivate mobile data, switch from silent to vibrate or sound and ofcourse, reboot and turn off my phone.
I have tried every possible thing I could've tried to make this work, like removing the sim. It all seems to be a software problem.
Note that I don't wanna root my device in order to solve this. Thank you.
Yesterday, i used my nook (rooted, stock rom 1.4.3) normally. When updated an app on market, i couldn't open it because of force close error. After that, i tried to open play store but it said "no connection" although wifi was ok. Then i tried to reset to stock rom and rooted again, but the icon "market" didn't appear on desktop (i tried 2 times with the same result. I added google account but it appeared this notification "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care." And now my nook can't install non-market apps although it was rooted
So what should i do now to solve this issue
Sr for bad english
Hello guys,
I own my Samsung Galaxy S4 I9515 (Value Edition) for about 2 years and since a few months I've been experiencing annoying issue: phone started to get restarted by itself. Sometimes it restarted just once or twice and started to work for few days, but then it restarted over and over again in the same time, like in the 'restarting loop' so I was not able to launch it in the end. Sometimes, but not always, taking the battery away helped, but few times even this didn't help as so I had to either reset the phone to factory settings (wipe) or even install the official Samsung software from scratch (using Odin for example). After such reinstallation it was working for few hours, but as soon as I managed to install all my apps it started to restart again.
Finally I decided to return the phone to official Samsung store for guarantee repair. First time, they told me the issue doesn't happen in their service so they only reinstalled the software (what I also did myself before). The same day when I got my phone back, I restored my apps from Google Play and it started to be restarting again. Because of that, I return the phone to Samsung again. This time they told me the same, that the problem didn't happen during their tests, but they advised me to buy a new battery as with the current one phone seems not to work correctly. So I bought brand new, original Samsung battery, restored my Google account on the phone again, and... It happened again, phone has restated for 10 times during one hour
Do you have any idea why may this happen? Or how can I check what is happening? Does Android store some logs somewhere to see why it crashes and restarts?
I suspected two things:
1. Memory card - I thought memory card could make it happening, as to Samsung I gave the phone without it, but I tested it yesterday with no sd card and the same happened.
2. Apps - as I mentioned before, every time I reinstall the software I add my Google Account and apps start to be installed from Google Play, and mostly after that phone starts restarting again. But how can I check that which app is causing that? On the other hand it would be weird, as I'm using my Google Account on the other Android phone with the same apps and nothing bad happens.
Maybe you have any other idea, would be appreciated, because neither me nor Samsung official service couldn't solve this issue.
Thank you in advance!
Hi, I've got Android 10 installed (stock ROM, locked bootloader) and for the life of me can't get Google Pay to work since resetting my phone (typing had become extremely laggy).
It worked fine previously, but now doesn't work with either of my cards, both of which work on my Samsung watch.
The red circle with the exclamation mark shows up on the phone, and the card reader says "contactless unavailable" afterwards, but works with the watch if you cancel and try again.
Cards are verified, NFC is on, passes SafetyNet.
I tried at multiple vendors, multiple times each.
I've given all permissions and Huawei battery management for it is turned off.
Any suggestions? I'm out of ideas!
