I have a Lobster with Windows Vista (Mobile Device Center 6.1)
Should it be possible by default (or is it possible at all) to surf the internet via Bluetooth / USB cable rather than GPRS?
I can Sync via Bluetooth fine.
Thanks for your help!
browsing via bluetooth or usb
You may have already got this working, but I only just saw your post.
The answer is yes, if your active-sync works actually the USB connection should connect you to the internet through the PC. Bluetooth is a bit more difficult since Microsoft has never understood bluetooth properly (compare with the Nokia PC suite where it takes about 2 clicks to set up!). Anyway after an hour or so of frustration I was able to browse over b/t on my Lobster.
Just for fun I installed Fring and was also able to use Skype and SIP the
same way.
Now just need to unlock the phone!
Good luck.
Mike.
Hi guys,
I'd like to show the SD of my Wildfire in the Windows explorer of my office pc, and in my Mac, just a pendrive via WiFi and/or bluetooth... is thera a way?
When I've got my old Nokia E52 I really like the feature that I had using bluetooth: when I'm in the office just turn on the bluetooth and I can browse my phone, send/receive sms ecc...
Why I can't do it with Android?
I can't find a service that run in backgroud in order to jest turn the bluettoth on and the Wildfire is connected as a pendrive in my Windows explorer.
use websharing app. just google it
I have been trying to get my G Tablet to connect to my computers (Windows 7 x64 and OSX 10.4.11) without success. I managed to PAIR the tablet with the computers, but I can never get them to CONNECT. After I hit the connect button, nothing happens. I want to bluetooth to transfer files wirelessly, or even stream music and share internet connections.
By the way, I am running CyanogenMod 7.0.2.

I was able to send a file from my linux desktop to the gtab... the linux box sees it as a "phone" profile, which might mean it only has a limited set of bluetooth services installed.
Wanted to bring this back up as I am having the same issues, connecting with my HTC Thunderbolt. Pairs with everything, but doesn't connect. Kind of a shame when I need BT to tether. Anyone find a fix yet?
Hi, I'm wondering if there is any software possible or if it would be possible in theory?
Basically what I mean is when connecting phone to PC, is it possible to integrate it so the PC is a client to take and recieve phone calls via the mobile, allowing me to utilise my headset and be able to continue using skype etc without having to remove or change headset. Thanks.
You're effectively using your PC as a bluetooth headset. Doing so will depend on your configuration - hardward, Windows version, etc - but it is certainly possible.
