So I put my S9+ on my Samsung wireless quick charger last night, like usual, and nothing. Neither charging light went on the charger, or the phone. Repositioned it a few times, nothing. Put my S8+ on it, and it charged fine. So I rebooted the phone and it started charging again.
Has anyone experienced anything like this on their S9/+?

I seem to be having issues charging my Galaxy S3. I plug it into the Samsung wall charger and it starts to charge but stops after about 10 seconds. So I figure there is an issue with the charger, but then I plug my Blackberry into the same charger and it charges just fine. Using the blackberry charger it does the same thing on the S3. The phone does seem to charge via USB on my PC but its extremely slow. So I really don't know what to do to fix this issue.
Currently I am using the Samsung spare battery kit, the one that you place the battery alone in and it charges, it charges the battery to 100% without any issue using the same cable the phone is having a issue with. I've had the phone since about June and never had any issue like this.
Would a factory reset help my issue? The reason I am apprehensive to that is, with Androids it seems a factory reset means losing EVERYTHING on the phone. As you can imagine 3 months worth of apps etc will take a really long time to restore, and if it doesn't work then a real pain.
Does anyone know how I can fix this issue? I've tried rebooting many times and also tried charging while the phone is off and all that does is show the batter logo with a 'refresh' symbol in it for a second then the screen switches off.
Had a strange charging issue to occur last night/this morning.
I plugged my phone up, went to bed, woke up this morning and my phone failed to charge. So, I unplugged it, plugged it back in, and it gave me an error something along the lines "this charger is incompatible with your phone, please use the G3 charger .."
It's the factory charger and I've never had an issue before.
I rebooted, but it didn't fix the issue.
I powered down, and it charged while it was off.
Powered up later, plugged the charger in, and it started charging fine again.
Has anyone else experienced this? What would cause it?

Faulty charger, charger port on phone, or some software glitch with the Kernel possibly.
Probably just the charger though. If it keeps acting up you may want to bring it in just to have it looked at while it's still fairly new. They'll be able to rule all that kind of stuff out pretty quick

Also, any chance that while the charger is original, you used a random usb cable? You need both charger and cable to be good.
I had this issue once the second night I owned it, and that was the 21st. Haven't had,it since and all I did was keep unplugging it and plugging it in until it worked and so far issue free, idk why but it doesn't bother me.
just got my plus friday. got the best buy deal with the free wireless charger from samsung. its official oem charger. i am having problems with my plus charging for any long period of time. it will start out fine and after a couple minutes it usually stops charging and the blue light will just blink. or every couple minutes the screen will light up and it will make the sound like i lifted it up and put it back down. i have put my regular s6 on the charger and it doesn't give me any issues. just the plus. anyone else have this issue?
I have the same issue
Well it seems I am the ONLY person on all of the internet who is having this kind of problem with a Verizon Wireless Charger and the S6 Edge+. Friday of last week, the wife and I got the S6 Edge+, two wireless chargers, and 2 cases from Verizon, all the same everything.
My wife's phone has zero issues.
My phone; when placed on the wireless charger starts to charge, but then every percent it charges the phone turns on, beeps like I placed it down again and shuts off... it does this all the way to 100%, then stays off. It does this with or without the case on. I also swapped phones in other chargers and the wife's phone works fine in my charger and mine still acts stupid in her.
I reset my phone to factory thinking I messed something up and it still does it. Tried rebooting it and placing it again, same outcome. Going to take the phone back to Verizon today and ask WTF. Sounds a bit like a S6 Edge+ issue.
Mine was doing it last night. I put my plus on, it starts fine, then in a short period of time like u said the screen flashes and i get the ring like i just put it on the charger.
Other times it just stops charging and the blue light blinks. My regular s6 has no issues

I got this phone about a month ago. It came with a fast charging cable. It charged nicely a couple of times. Then I noticed that it wasn't charging even though it was detecting that it was plugged in. It completely depleted and turned off. I fiddled with it changing cords and chargers and nothing helped. I eventually took battery out of phone and put back in and it charged.
So, basically I can charge it 1 more time maybe without having to take battery out before plugging into charge. It has worked every time so far. Why is this? And what can I do to fix?
Brought my unlocked S9+ home from BestBuy Friday (the first day they became available in the US). I successfully charged it up a couple times with the provided Samsung quick charger (wired) and a cheap wireless charger I grabbed at Walmart. However last night, having the phone on the charging stand I noticed the phone's red LED remained on too long even though the charging stand light indicated it was charging the phone. Finally early this morning I checked the battery level and it had gone down. The phone was not charging. I plugged the phone into the Samsung charger for the rest of the morning. After an hour or so I checked again and the level had drop a few more percentage points! WTF?? Anyway I shut down the phone and then tried again with the wired quick charger. This time it charged fine.
I wonder if this is a pending future problem. To be honest I was watching a YouTube tutorial last night on how to bring up the diagnostic screen (using a series of phone pad key presses). I wonder if that messed with the phone somehow (I did not knowingly make any changes. Just tried some of the "tests").
Anyway, hopefully this was just a one time issue...... If not, I'll report back.
I haven't noticed any issues. Maybe it was just a one off. The only thing that will truly tell is time I guess
what temperature had the battery?
Above 45°C?
I've had this issue. I caught it when the charging failed -- had an error about CPU being too high/hot. It would not charge until I re-sat the device on the wireless charger.

I did not notice an error message. By "re-setting" the phone on the charger do you mean moving it around?
i have this same issues. It says Fast Charging, But battery level gone down. Any one notice, Its simply say Fast Charging. But whenever its says Fast Charging and in Bracket (Its says how much time it take to complete) in that time charging works fine. I think its a software issue. Because i tried click Fast Charging turned off and on again.....then charging works fine. Some way in Software blocking this. I hope so.
