Hi everybody!
I would like to know what programs I need to create my own ROM . I searched everywhere and I could not find concrete answers. Could you help me with that?.
Regards!
If everyone have this tool to make their own preferred ROM, then what for those X10 developers are trying their best to make good ROM now??
Slowly man, making a ROM is not easy, knowledge is what all about
Nothing comes easy.
Yes, I know. But I want to start my own ROM to learn about this Andriod's world. I'm a java developer and I undestand that nothing comes easy.

I don't think that you can create a ROM with a program. You could maybe start porting ROMs from other devices with THIS guide
Ok! Do you like the word "modify"? Well, yes. I want to modify a ROM, but the thread send me, it's a good start.

Hi Chris my name is Andrew and i might be able to give you some basic info and guidelines. First i would suggest using a ROM kitchen for basic ROM modding. I would recommend using Dsixda's ROM kitchen http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246 .When you feel confident that you can get on tothe more complex stuff you can check my tutorial about compiling from source code http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667551 .After you get over that then the Internet should become your mentor in advanced source code editing (most of the time anyway but you shouldn't feel shy about asking something if unclear)

For a start learn to root your phone..... install CWM and learn to use that too...

The first and best suggestion I can give is use the search feature of the site, and in general search for information. Although I'll provide you with a few links, they may not provide you with all the information you need . Below are a few links to get you started .

What should my first Custom ROM be???

So, Im looking for some help here.
I am using the X821 version Le Max 2, and I have just recently rooted successfully. I wanted to ask for some suggestions with what custom ROM should I try out first? I suppose I am looking for a very stable ROM with theming to black capabilities. Other than that, I am open to anything, but I do need some help from some of you more seasoned or veterans in this smartphone tech game... Please leave me with some comments or suggestions for my first custom ROM to install, maybe some pros and cons or ROM specific issues if any. Thanks so much for all of your help with this question guys.

You can find all the available ROM for this device in the development section. Each one has a short introduction about what the package contains and found bugs. Nobody can really tell which one should be on your phone, It completely depends on your preferences. You need to decide what's more important to you, then make the choice. E.G. If customization is a must have feature, You might wanna go for the CM based ROMs like ResurrectionRemix, Mokee.
