Hello. If Pace is brand new and phone has Android 8.0+, it won't pair. First pair with another phone with Android 7.1 or older (or an iPhone), update watch's firmware, unpair and then pair with your phone.

Even I am facing the same issue. I paired the watch with another Android phone, updated the OS to 1.3.6d and then tried to pair it again with my OnePlus 5t but still the same issue.

What ROM on phone? Some versions have problems with Bluetooth, you may need to downgrade the ROM on phone.

I am using Open Beta Oreo Rom for OnePlus 5t.
For my part I have no problem. I am in android 8.1 and Rom WOS 2.6.0.12
I paired it the first time under android 8.0.
You need to clear the cache of the amazfit application.

Hi, I faced similar problem few days ago. The watch just refused to pair with my phone. Tried to install and uninstall the watch OS many times still failed. At the end, we found that it was my phone OS problem. I tried to pair the watch with another phone and it paired without problem. I then clean reflashed my phone ROM and solved the problem. For your information, my phone is OP3T and the phone rom is MSM Xtended (android 8.1.0). Thanks @IFOm for his help
I suggest you reflash your phone rom.

I cleaned flash the ROM. If you check xda, normally the op will give you clear instruction how to do clean reflash. After reflash, you need to setup your phone again.

Old Pace 1.3.x firmware won't sync with Android 8.0+ and newest iOS, firmware must be updated first using another phone.
I has stockfied 1.3.6 and 8 Oreo and sync perfect, since December to May, I changed rom for wos2, same phone and beta, like OP
This should work: pair the watch using your account using another phone, then put watch in airplane mode (so it will disconnect from phone) and uninstall Amazfit app and remove watch from phone's Bluetooth settings (watch won't be unpaired, so no factory reset). Then go to your phone, make sure the watch isn't listed in Bluetooth settings, install the same app version used before, turn off airplane mode on watch and login to your account. The watch and phone should show the usual pair request with a pin code, confirm in both and they should be paired. If it doesn't happen then your phone's Bluetooth cannot see the watch for some reason... I have done this thousands times and it always worked if the phone can find the watch.
I have the OnePlus 5T and when I got my watch I had the same problem.....all you have to do is
1) Downgrade to Android 7
2) Pair the watch let it update to latest firmware
3) Update your OnePlus 5T to Android 8.0/8.1
4) Enjoy your brand new Pace
........................................................................................
ALTERNATIVE
Use a second phone that is on Android 7
Pair the watch and update it
Then unpair it
Go to OnePlus 5T and pair it
It should work either way?

Hi everyone. I also bought last week the Truesmart+ watch (maybe wasn't a good idea ). It is running Android 5.1 version, and has an built-in external µSD card support (didn't found this information nowhere).
I successfully succeed in rooting with iRoot via PC, then backing up with MTKdroid Tools. I tried to flash the "openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.0-omatesmartwatch2" (build for Truesmart 1st version) with SP Flash Tool 3.13 that displayed the green logo at the end, meaning flash was successful. But even after using ADB commands ("adb reboot recovery") or using an APP like "Quick reboot" to boot in recovery mode, the watch displays for 1/8 seconds the Truesmart logo, then reboot in normal mode. Can someone help us please ?

so I think you have two different watches mistaken. You likely used the recovery that is intended for the original OmateTS while what you have is a newer version . Being you list it as TrueSmart+ and also say its 5.1 that tell mes , long with you saying you just bought it , that it is not the same watch as that TWRP is for.

I also had this problem, and now the smartwatch is completely useless. After I updated my Pixel XL to Android 8.1, the sync problems started. I tried to make a reset (unpair, do a factory reset and try to pair again), but now I'm stucked on the QR Code screen. I read it with the Amazfit App, but when it tries to sync the previous information with the smartwatch, it gives me generic sync error. I also tried to skip the sync old information part, without success.

Guys if you have the generic sync error and you are stuck at QR code, try selecting an american server with a VPN BEFORE trying to open the Amazfit app: some italian users managed to pass it and sync again with this trick
Solved with an pre 7 device
If you by any chance have a pre 8.0 Android phone you can pair your device to that one and update it to firmware version 1.3.5. After that you can perform a factory reset of the watch and pair it to your Android 8+ phone and it will pair. Proved with a Pixel XL
I also got the same problem after the december upgrade of the Amazfit app. Lost contact with the watch, I have tried several hard factory resets, multiple reinstalled the apps, tried several different phones, now my watch keeps hanging in de XR screen, and is completely useless for me. No upgrade to fix this bug. Also no support. The watch has a great design, but software is crappy.
I just got my Pace and I can't pair it with my Pixel 2 XL. I read somewhere the watch needs a firmware update but you can't do it without pairing it first. This is my only phone so I can't pair it to something else then update it. Where can I find instructions to manually update the watch with adb? I can't find them anywhere.

Any luck? I'm on the same boat.
How I did it.
Grab an old phone or tablet. I used my father's phone.
If you don't have access to an old device, you should be able to manually update the watch using a PC. Follow the unbrick guide, using the newest firmware. You can also replace the first step of that guide with a single ADB command:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Which will mean you don't have to struggle to get into the bootloader
Had this issue, got an "old" SGS7 from a friend and got the firmware update. Then pairing was easy.
Still a bit stupid that you can't get "official" update via other mean than your phone
I live in China and bought an Amazfit Bip from Tmall. My googling had indicated that since ~2017 or 2018, the watch will switch languages into whatever the phone language was set to. So I bought one only to later find out this is no longer true in 2019. I contacted support, and they told me Amazfit Bips sold in China are unable to change the language, even just to English. What? When did that change? How come all these people who bought it before me were able to change the language so easily? I was angry.
Even Amazfit's official online support page is not helpful with random dates splattered around confusing me even more as to if this is changeable or not. Trying to find a way to do it only made me find either outdated procedures from 2016, or people in 2019 asking how to do it, with no answer!
So after a lot of research and trial and error, I finally managed to change the Chinese Bip into an International Bip with an English interface. So here is how I did it.
I am in no way responsible if you brick your Bip!! Flashing firmwares is always a risky procedure. You have been warned.
- Prerequisites:
An Amazfit Bip A1608 (Chinese version).
Make sure your Bip is paired with MiFit
Official Firmware v.1.1.5.04 stable
Gadgetbridge
Custom firmware from here or here
- Procedure:
1. Go to the Amazfit Bip settings page in MiFit and set the Discoverable setting to ON
2. Then scroll down to the end of the settings page and unpair your Bip from MiFit
3. Turn the Bip on and off again (The very last option in the watch's settings. Once tapped, tap yellow side for OK). Restart your phone too.
4. Download and install gadgetbridge from F-Droid. You can either just download or install the apk from that link, or install it directly from F-droid if you have it.
5. Turn on Airplane mode, and then turn Bluetooth and Location services back on.
6. Open gadgetbridge, and pair your Bip.
7. Take the official firmware you downloaded from here: Firmware v.1.1.5.04 stable for the Bip. We need this to downgrade the Bip to an older firmware to flash the "hacked" firmware that changes the Bip from the Chinese to International version.
8. Unzip the Firmware v.1.1.5.04 somewhere on your phone.
9. Open a file explorer and open the folder where you extracted the files. Tap to open Mili_chaohu.fw and it should give you the option to open it with gadgetbridge. Gadgetbridge will then give you the option to Flash it. Flash it, then repeat the same process for the other files in this order:
Mili_chaohu.ft
Mili_chaohu.res
Mili_chaohu.gps
Note: I used the non-latin files because I only need English and Chinese characters, so I don't know if the procedure works with the .latin files. If you do try it with the .latin versions and this all works properly, let me know!
10. Take the custom firmware you downloaded from here or here (that will convert your Bip into an international version) and extract it somewhere on your phone. Ignore the included gadgetbridge.apk
11. Click the 3 dots in gadgetbridge and check your HW ID.
- If your HW ID is : v0.11.1.4 then flash: "Mili_chaohu_CE_1.fw"
- If your HW ID is : v0.11.131.5 then flash: "Mili_chaohu_CE_131.fw"
Open the corresponding file in gadgetbridge like you did before and flash it
From my understanding, this procedure essentially changes the hardware ID in the firmware to the International ID.
12. Once flashed, go to your Bip's settings (on the watch) and perform a factory reset. This is the last setting on the second page of the settings (the second option from the bottom). Tap it, tap the yellow button for OK, then hold the side button for a bit to reset the watch. Your watch will then be reset.
13. Re-pair your watch to Gadgetbridge. Your watch should now be an International version, in English. You can now uninstall Gadgetbridge if you wish
14. Re-pair your watch to MiFit. It will upgrade the firmware fonts gps etc. to the latest version. Let it finish, and if everything went well, the Bip's interface will remain in English. Congratulations!
So this is how I did it. Some steps might be unnecessary, but I am not going to test them now that my watch is in English and works properly. It took a lot of trial and error and flashing until I figured out that the key was to downgrade the firmware to v.1.1.5.04 for it to work. Let me know if something was unnecessary when you did it.

So it's the same issue with the GTR? Sorry to hear that, and I really wish I could help but I only have a Bip. I hope someone finds a way to change the language on the GTR soon.
For me I would like to flash my bip back to Chinese version. I need Chinese fonts but I have converted my Bip to French version and if I flash the Chinese firmware, everytime I open MiFit it just update it back to French! any way to find how to revert my Bip back to Chinese version? Thanks.

Did you try flashing just the font, the .ft file for the Chinese version (non-Latin font), without the rest?
I think I did, but everytime I am opening the MiFit app it will update the fonts. I have converted the Bip to Global version before flashing global firmware, so now my watch is like international version. I would like to know how to convert it back to Chinese version.

You need to detail exactly what you flashed and how, and where you got the file you flashed from? There are many custom font files out there like the one with emojis and Mi Fit doesn't always reflash them from my experience, so you may be using the wrong file, or may need a patched MiFit apk that won't overwrite it every time.
Also, the Chinese version will be 100% in Chinese, so I'm not sure that's what you want if all you need is to display Chinese characters in notifications. But that's beyond the scope of this thread, so I suggest you open a new thread and write in detail what you did and what happens and I'm sure you'll find a solution to the issue.

Hi, I wish I could help, but this probably works only with the standard bip and not the lite. I'm surprised it even worked, so that's a good sign already. I hope someone else can help you!

Hello, Can you upload Official Firmware v.1.1.5.04 stable? Because the author firmware link is dead and I need this firmware. Thanks.
You can find fw version 1.1.5.04 inside the assets directory of MiFit v3.5.4 that you can find on apk mirror.
Open apk with 7zip and extract the Mili_chaohu.xxx files you need.

the amazfitwatchfaces doesn't have a firmware download section anymore, only watchfaces
Please upload Official Firmware v.1.1.5.04 stable. Without it your efforts will be lost.

[GUIDE] New method to install Google Mobile Services on Huawei P40 & P40 Lite
Hi guys!!!
I'm thrilled to report that I just found this new way to get Google Mobile Services to work on Huawei and Honor devices that don't have them.
It's totally working [today is 20 june 2020] and it SOLVES the new problem that doesn't let the users sign-in to their Google accounts at the time of the installation.
Everything is very detailed and shown step-by-step on the following video...
Please be sure to download the .zip file that has all the stuff needed to get this to work. Using this method, that zip file must be copied to the root a pen-drive. It's here, for Android 10: https://bit.ly/2ATWPGE
- If the LZ app (big "G" icon") isn't working as expected on your phone, you might have to reset the device.
[UPDATE - 29 / June / 2020]
Important stuff:
- You must have your phone in english in order to proceed with this method.
- After it is complete you can switch back to your preferred language, without problems.
- If you want to add more Google accounts, you should do this procure while you are installing GMS. Use this link: https://youtu.be/jgCN6SeP32c?t=1418 It guides directly to the right moment in that video.
By the way, it's working great for a lot of users. Push notifications, though, aren't working.
Still, I believe this is the best method around.
Cheers!
Any feedback on battery drain once google services are installed?
Asking this because as far as I remember, google services have always been the top consumer in standby on all my phones, and I was happy to get a P40 without GMS, at first, and sadly found out their store is like a no mans' land lol.
I'll probably run without GMS for a while to check how battery drain goes, and see if Huawei is doing a better job If time allows I'll post my findings.
doesnt working Im stuck in the first step, when Im about to restore the backup file...
it just doesnt appear the backup...
has someone with firmware: 10.1.136 successfully installed the services? on the old version it went immediately with 10.1.136 I tried several times now always without success

It is possible to perform a downgrade using HiSuite. I'm considering it myself because i have had no luck installing gms without annoying notifications.

So far, I've tested the Huawei P40 Lite E vs Pixel 3 XL, both without SIM card.
P40 achieves an average of 8mA in standby, while Pixel 3 XL is at an average of 10mA. Not much, but still P40 is performing better.
Usage consumption shows very similar drain around 400-500mA, resulting in both devices showing a run time of about 8 hours. However the Pixel 3 XL battery is aging and have a remaining capacity of 3300mAh, compared to the P40 having 4000mAh (will post actual capacity later).
Usage consumption highly depends on screen technology and brightness levels, the later I haven't checked or messed with.
Noticeably the P40 is brand new and have a brand new battery (still trying to get an estimated battery capacity as I forgot to exclude my app from google AND huawei battery optimizations).
I'd say Huawei services are performing better than Google services, by 20%.
I tried to install google service on my P40 Lite E, but couldn't find a valid method. Are there any way to do so these days?
I was hoping to compare battery life on the P40 Lite E with and without Google services, but it seems a no go now.
How to downgrade a P40 Lite? I have managed to download the correct firmware, but how can i get it to flash on the device?

If you find a way to downgrade firmware, don't forget to post it as I'm sure many may be interested, including me.
you can downgrade easily the ones which don't have the anti-rollback
download firmware, extract the dload folder on some sd card or usb, attach usb otg to the phone and boot with volume up - power. Then select usb update. Worked fine
I do have it for JNY-LX1 if someone needs

Is this JNY-LX1 for the P40 Lite E? Can GMS be installed on it then? If so, I'm definitely interested as I couldn't find a single firmware for the P40 Lite E.
Only found this version so far, but impossible to download because of quota: Huawei_P40_Lite_E_Arthur-L29_10.1.0.112_C185E2R3P1_EMUI10.1.0_05016MMP_Dload.zip
All sites are referring to the same GDrive file, which can't be downloaded, here is one of them: https://firmwarefile.com/huawei-p40-lite-e-arthur-l29
Can you pm some od the info from your system-about? Current emui etc

I read it's impossible to downgrade from EMUI 10.1 back to 10.0 or 9.x, so there's no way I'll be able to install GMS I suppose. IMO phones without GMS are pretty useless. App Gallery have not half the apps on Play Store.
Here are details of system about, just in case I could get my hand on 9.x or older 10.x firmware to attempt a flash.
Device: HUAWEI P40 lite E
Model: ART-L29
Build: 10.1.0.128(C432E2R1P1)
EMUI: 10.1.0

you can downgrade directly on HiSuite
Unfortunately, you can't. On the latest version of HiSuite, you don't have the button with the "Older Versions". If you install an older version of HiSuite, you can't connect to the phone. So this method doesn't work at this moment.

I did that yesterday. I am on windows 7 with HiSuite updated, not sure if that's relevant.
Maybe it is, i am on windows 10 and it doesn't let me do that. I just bought a USB type-C memory stick and i will try to update from it, holding volume up and power button while powering up the phone.

Windows 10 here, no "older versions" for my P40 Lite E. However I manage to downgrade by putting the OTA zip on the SD card and updating from it. Then I was able to install and run lzplay. Now stuck at login though.
