What's ColtOS
ColtOS Project is presented by a team of learners and it is crafted from AOSP Source with all the necessary customizations, without compromising the stability and security of the device.
We have cherry-picked the features from many other roms/projects and we are very thankful to all of them!! We just crossed the Beta Phase for Oreo and are happy to announce the release of Colt-OS Chilly based on Android 8.1.
Although there's no bugs experienced by us or testers, if you find any, please let us know with a logcat.

Everything is working fine in this rom but........
There is a minor bug in this rom, the charging sounds does not work even after turning it on. Kindly fix this bug in the next update!
***Update : 16 July**
This was the worst decision to come from Nitrogen to Colt. The phone reboots unnecessarily and gets freakin' hot, just within a few minutes of working on it. And the worst issue, I am an semi-youtuber, when i start to watch some videos on youtube, the video cannot be seen but the audio go on. Just going to change my OS now, Thanks!

My Yureka is stucked on Fastboot & not starting on to system or Recovery either
As instructed I updated TWRP recovery to 3.2.2 & installed Colt OS. Nice OS, Installed as per instruction & it was smooth.. but problem occurred when phone got restarted & got stuck on Fastboot mode. when ever I try to start phone to system or recovery mode, it shows fastboot screen for a second & phone gets off...
Plz guide me what to do next...

I try to flash ROM but continues to boot for almost 1hr. After some time my gets off and I am not able turn it on ......but now I managed to get into twrp...see this developer
it's good I didn't face any issues but battery backup is little bit low but its ok and sot around 3hrs
flashed this rom + opengapps, successfully boot up. But after restart again, get stuck at boot animation.

dismantle it, with this I mean: remove the battery, the SIM card, the SD card, leave it disassembled for 4 or 5 seconds, mount it after that time, start it and ready to work the camera again, it also happened to me, the remedy Has007 gave me, Thanks to Has007, I only share what I learned and they have helped me

You have to use opengapps 8.0
I done a full wipe using official twrp , flashed ROM plus 8.0 stock gapps but keep bumping into enter password after boot ? What have I done wrong , thx

Use format option on recovery instead of wipe. You may get an error. Retry it.

I got round it by formatting everything including userdata (internal storage)
Flashing lineageos 14.1 & booting fully
Once encryption has been removed you can then flash the oreo rom - you can encrypt again once you have booted oreo
Took me a few attempts but until you get encryption removed from the nougat rom the oreo rom won't boot

Everything hardware related is working. Maybe a few software bugs because Los is still WIP

Most of it works fine, the only thing sort of working is the camera (Not working on Google and Moto Cameras, working partially on Camera2 app [Only Frontal camera works] and working fully on Color Picker camera (which doesnt take pics)).
Aside from that, everything else seems ok, battery like seems like it will be better than Nougat roms. Nice work!

im using lineage 15 (to which I presume this is based on)
I use open camera and both front and rear camera works perfectly fine

Arnova's GCam with front and rear portrait mode.
I faced a problem after flashing the rom and gapps.
After booting up, I don't get an option to enter my google credentials and the setup reverts to the first screen repeatedly. Also, the scanner fails to register fingerprints.
Can my being on 5.1.1 firmware be the reason? Or is something else the problem?

I'm also using 5.1.1 firmware without issue but you should try with lower version and are you decrypted ? If yes then flash ROM without gapps, also join telegram group for quick assistance..

Yes, I am decrypted and my process for flashing has been:
1. Flash Rom
2. Flash Gapps
3. Flash no-verity
4. Clean cache
5. Reboot to recovery
6. Reboot to System
I will try once without gapps and let you know.

Been using this for a couple days now. Really nice, good work.
Many Pie roms that I've installed had given me a decryption error on the first boot.
The only pie rom that haven't had this error is Pixel experience (Pie).
Is this issue present in this rom?

Try it for yourself.
I'm sure this isn't a ROM specific bug but I've been having problems in these later pie ROMs where magisk root doesn't show or shows no root is installed. Anybody else having these problems?
What camera app coming in this ROM?
The ROM is very good. But I see that in the section on Colts Lobby I do not see anything to change the clock it would be good if in a future update I really added a lot of good thanks ROM
[it is simply amazing rom and thanks to the devs and especially to Potter maintainer ?

Something is wrong with the settings page. Labels do not match the menu items.
Heya. No option for fingerprint unlock in this ROM hey ? That's a dealbreaker for me I'm afraid, sorry.
One bug I've noticed already is the statusbar settings for clock position , selecting 'hidden' doesn't hide the clock...
I set it to centre, then hidden and that worked for a time but now the clock is back on the left yeah

U need to flash Oreo Fp firmware For All PIE ROMS... Fingerprint Unlock isn't broken.
From now on, all roms need Oreo firmware or else Fingerprint is dead. Flash this if you still on nougat firmware:

PS:-If you want NFC to work on new oreo firmware based custom roms,you need to flash stock oreo first.

Ok sure .it would be good to include that in the OP. It was not part of your instructions ~> I chose this rom because it seemed to not be necessary.
Thanks for all your hard work ! It's an awesome rom but I'm not ready to use it as a daily driver. Cheers legends!
