ZTE A410 / EE Rook stock ROM - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all
Apologies if this is the wrong forum but I cant seem to find anywhere else that seem suitable.
I have been looking for a stock ROM for a ZTE A410, phone was bought as an EE rook and has been rooted with kingo and then "unrooted" but ultimately now has residual binaries left all over the place. I have been searching for months now for an original stock rom either for the rook or alternatively a UK standard A410 rom will do, essentially I want a completely clean install if possible.
I have been unable to find anything anywhere and it appears as if the ZTE device section on their website has disappeared completely and wont be coming back for a while.
I would appreciate it if anyone could point me in the direction of a viable rom for this device.
Thanks

Help for Newbie - reverting to stock firmware

Hi, I just bought a HTC Raider - from Bell Mobility (Canada) and I need to revert it back to the stock firmware, currently on Virtuous Inquisition v4.0.2.1
I have no idea where to even start, I have read a bunch of "walkthroughs" on this forum but most of it was lost on me, ie. no idea what rooted is, or kernal is; so thinking it maybe easier just to ask for help.
I have managed to find the stock firmware here hopefully someone will be able to walk me through, or show me which guide to follow (I have read a few guides and none of them seem to have a similar processes)
Thanks in advance

[Q] "Easy" rooting options and instructions for S3

Hi all,
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII which is on 3UK and I'm finding it quite slow and I'd like to start with getting rid of all the software I really do not want which comes bundled with the operator software, there is tons of it!
As I can't uninstall any of it, I understand that my options are to live with it, or root it.
I'm afraid I have no idea about rooting at all and wouldnt really no where to start. So... where do I start? I do not really need the phone to do anything fancy I just want the bare bones so that I can install what I want on it, not what someone else wants me to have on it.
Can I load the Samsung firmware onto it with no additional apps? This would be my ideal solution... Failing that, I guess i'll have to root it, but I also understand that I have to choose a ROM...
Can anyone point me in the right direction of a good basic tutorial to get me started on this?
Thanks in advance!
You just have to Flash an unbranded rom I guess..then full wipe and you are golden

Hi Gavin, rooting is always a good option as it enables you to begin to exploit the potential of your device....however it is not necessary to do what you are suggesting.
The latest unbranded UK rom XXELL4 and the information you require is all in Faryaab's thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25922191&postcount=1
You can flash the stock rom using Odin software which is also available in the same post.
If you wish to root there are also other pre-rooted roms available to flash via Odin elsewhere in this general section. The key is that the latest UK unbranded rom is, as I say XXELL4
Hi, thanks for that clarification, just the info I needed!

Newb trying to root Verizon Tablet Z2 (SGP561) from 5.0.2.

Okay, I admit, this website indimidates the hell out of me. I'm tech savy and not afraid to mess with things, but the level of new terminology here is staggering.
Anyway, now that you know I'm a wimp: I have a SGP561 Xperia Tablet Z2 from Verizon with Lollipo 5.0.2. I want to root it in order to install custom fonts on Photoshop Touch as I'm living abroad and using my tablet as my main computer while the beast lives back home.
I tried to use the Easy Root Tool but it failed. I assume this is because my firmware is too new and not exploitable as of yet, which means I have to downgrade I believe. I have found some files for flashing (?) but they aren't for the SGP561 specifically - does that matter? All I found were these for Xperia Z2 (not the tablet Z2?)
So, in the easiest language possible, can someone please give a step by step on how to downgrade my SGP561 to a rootable firmware and then flash (?) back to the latest firmware and keep root?
Please, please, please, and thank you.
Bump?
This site is frustrating as hell. Mods are quick to lock noob threads without offering help, and you're not allowed to ask questions in the areas where anyone who knows the friggin answer would ever be anyway! I have a rooted z3V running lollipop, etc, so I'm sort of familiar with the process. But developments had been made where rooting became easier.
I've been wading through endless threads filed with outdated crap trying to figure out how the hell to root my z2 tablet for 3 weeks. None of the way this stuff has been written makes ANY sense.
I'm on 5.02, and want root and dual recovery. Should be simple, right?
I don't even know where to ask the damned question anymore. I've downloaded virus filed $#!+ on my computer, thoroughly screwing it up, TWICE now, only to find I probably didn't even need that file. -Or do I? Download links are so old they don't go anywhere. Can't tell what's what here.
Even this thread ; a WEEK OLD, and no help.

You said it dude. I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. I'm pretty deflated right now and demoralized.
If I ever figure it out, I'll hunt you down and let you know. If you do, please do the same.
Regards.

I followed those steps in that link. It didn't work for me.
I could not downgrade to 17.1.D.0.437. The device was either in reboot cycle or in the status of in-completed flashed after I flashed the firmware ftf file provided in that post. I had to flash the latest firmware to restore the tablet. I was glad I didn't bricked my tablet.

ZTE Avid 4 Z855 Stock ROM Availability

Hey Guys,
I have been searching everywhere on google to get a stock firmware for this device however i can't seem to find it anybody has a stock firmware for the ZTE Avid 4 Z855 from MetroPCS some moron decided to root this device and it can't receive OTA updates because of the root. I tried different methods just in case: wiping cache partition, removing root, hard factory reset but it won't work so anybody can lend a hand or guide me to the right path? Would really appreciate the help.
I know calling the guy a moron is a bit harsh but in my unpopular opinion a device should be rooted or modified after it is done receiving OTA updates from its carrier to extend life of the phone especially if its a good phone.
Root for ZTE avid 4
I'm trying to root this phone but I have no idea how. Can someone help?
