Hi guys,
since there are single and dual ROM devices available of the Redmi Note 4
is there anything to consider when flashing ROMs on the Dual SIM device ?
I mean - is mido = mido
(single SIM mido = dual SIM mido) ?
e.g. on Sony Stock ROMs (or sometimes AOSP ROMs) you need to flash specific versions to get microSD and network working
Many thanks in advance
There is no single sim Mido and it doesn't matter if you use single or 2 sims all the ROM's will be good to go. :good:

Is there any MIUI rom development available for dual sim phones?
Hey there,
I saw a discount offer for Moto E Dual SIM 1 st Gen and was thinking it would be a great budget phone. Could anyone please quickly explain if custom ROM - specifically cyanogenmod - support Dual SIM feature (not just support the dual sim phone but actually allow you to call using both SIMs) ? If yes, is it supported on both KK & LP 5.x builds ?
TIA
Yes you can call using both sims on cyanogenmod 11 as well as cyanogenmod 12.
I'm using a redmi note 3 (Snapdragon). When I insert single sim in any of the 2 slots it is fine. But when I insert dual sim, even the device recognize my 2 sims but there is 'No service' shown on the network bar for both sim. So i can't use dual sim. But i can use single sim in any of the 2 slots. What can I do now? Please help me

Same problem here. I insert sim 2, switch phone on and off, remove sim tray insert sim 1, switch phone on and both sims work. I don't know why.
I have this issue aswell is it software or hardware issue? I am on global 7.3.2.0 rom
Same issue here
Hi people, I'm having same issue on my RN3 Pro 16GB bought in GearBest. I can use single sim on any slot but dual sim does not work. I can't even turn off the second SIM in the settings.
Miui version: 7.17.09 (LHOCNCL)
Solved flashing MIUI 7.3.7 Global Stable following the guidelines from the oficial miui forums.
Dual sim working, faster bootup, less bloatware.
Just im case it helps somebody

Your rom is "cooked" by the seller. Maybe it will be better to change it with something official and stock.
This is the thread I follow to flash the Official Global Stable ROM.

Hi,
get my new Note 4 Snapdragon International with Miui 8.1.5 stable yesterday.
My provider has Volte and Volte work with my Blackview P2.
Now i put the same Sim card in my new Note 4 but Volte doenst work.
Volte option in settings is on.
I test both sim slots but no volte
I thought, the Note 4 SD has volte support. Is there a chance with Dev rom to get volte?
On my MTK version - soft global 8.1.6.0(MBFMIDI) works perfectly [on sim 1 YES, on sim 2 - NO LTE)
Ok but this not very helpfull for me because you have the Mediatek version and i the Snapdragon, so a totaly different chip
Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon version has VoLTE
Try to restart the device or try airplane mode on/off
I do everything, restart, airplane mode, change sim slots. No way, Volte doenst work on my Note 4 SD. The same Sim card in my Blackview P2 work with Volte. Will try now the develeoper Rom and hope that work.
No, VoLTE doenst work on my Note 4 SD, not with Stable MIUI Rom or any other custom rom. I when i read here the VoLTE threads, its seems only work on indian JIO
Anyone know which custom rom nougat or orea that have the ability to switch off 1 sim card?
Miui and aosp 5.1.1 have the ability to switch off 1 sim card in dual sim mode.
Any Custom MM, Nougat or Oreo have the function to switch off one sim in dual sim mode ?
