mi note 3 softbrick after wipe data - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, i checked a lot on internet and on the forum, but anyone has my phone or had the same problem
So, i have a xiaomi mi note 3 with the last global stable 9.5.3.0, miui 9.5 the bootloader was unlocked with the official way
I wanted to root the phone so i downloaded 4 different twrp because some of them just didn't work, i couldn't do nothing, the touch didn't worked or just the phone doesn't responde at all.
So, i found the twrp version that it works, i copied supersu on the main phone's directory and reboot the phone in twrp mode
and here the first problem.
I could find nothing, twrp says i have 0 bytes
i didn't touched anything in twrp setting, so i tryed with a data wipe and my phone got a soft brick
i flashed my rom again, unlocked the bootloader, installed the twrp again and again, 0 bytes
i tryed to wipe data again, soft brick again
Tired of that i just flashed again the rom and actually my bootloader is locked, cuz bored to do the first set up over and over
I really hope someone can help me
Sorry for my english, i know it's bad but it's not my first language

Anyone can help me ?

So, finally i solved the problem
I hope it will help ppl that they have my same problem
As i said i have xiaomi mi note 3 with miui 9, with the global rom 9.5.3.0 Stable, the only one twrp that it works on my phone is the last, 3.2.1-0 version
After i flashed twrp with fastboot it just asked me a password, and nobody knows what password it's needed, just skip that and press cancel
After that i couldn't find magisk or supersu in my internal storage cuz it said i had 0bytes on it, so i did a wipe data but after that the phone got softbricked
So i just pressed volume + and power button to get inside twrp again and now my storage was fixed, so i connected the phone at the pc and i copied magisk inside the internal storage
I flashed it and reboot my phone, it tooks about 5 - 10 minutes so it started the first setup again
After that magisk was finally on my homescreen, i downloaded root checker and it said my device was properly rooted

[SOLVED] unmount of /system failed no such volume when installing AOSP, MTK

Installing the AOSP ROM for the MTK RN3, keep coming up with the same issue inside TWRP of "unmount of /system failed; no such volume" However it still sayss "Install Complete" So I wipe dalvik and reboot and it just returns me to TWRP. Been searching online for a few hours now.
Come from CM12.1 having already used another version of CM12 before that so it isnt a unlock/coming from miui I hope.
*** Alright, turns out when I selected inside of twrp to reboot to system it would reboot to Twrp, so I selected power off then turned it back on and it launched like normal using AOSP ***
Any help/advice is appreciated!
How did you solved this problem? Having the same issue on my Mi Mix 2 now, searching for hours now but still no solution. Someone help me pls?
I am also having same issue.
while installing xiaomi redmi note 3 special edition (high version) official rom it takes very much time and doesn't complete the process,
I put it for one whole night (more than 9 hours) but still it is pending and doesn't finish the installation of rom.
While installing custom rom (I am using pixel experiance and others custom rom based on other other android version) it shows installing started and immediately it shows failed to unmount system-no such volume.
my phone is fully dead cause i erased it fully ( dalvik/system/catch/internal storage and all partition) with twrp recovery.
also i used other recovery like red wolf thinking that it will solve this problem, but all are still same in redwolf too.
nothing happens, and my phone is dead with charged 100%.
anyone please help me what can i do to in this.... to make my phone alive....
Help!!!!!!!! ;-(
I have also same problem... anyone knows solutions?

Phone restarts every 20 seconds after stupid wipe and installed via fastboot

Hi i wiped everything in advanced wipe(dalvik,system,data,internal,cache,cust,persist,usb OTG,imei1, imei2)(yes i'm stupid)
and then installed latest MIUI rom via fastboot everything works, but the phone reboots after 20 seconds I was able to configure device to the last step when u have to wait about 1 minute to be able to use the phone. I tried to install other version(stable instead od developer) and other custom rom however the problem remained. (TWRP works) I had a backup on the sd card but accidentally deleted it today... I tried to recover it with some program but it does not detect the phone, and I do not have an adapter for the sd card. Please help. (Redmi Note 4 3/32 Snapdragon mido)

I wiped important system files that do not overwrite after doing fastboot flash. In my case backup helped, if you do not have it, I would try to describe the problem for xiaomi maybe they would publish required files.

Phone Switching off and Restarting only after Wipe

Recently I've encountered a problem on my Redmi Note 3 Pro 3 gb ram 32 gb. I've been using custom ROMs and Kernels for a while. One day my phone switched off after getting warm. It switched on after some time. Then I tried Wiping Cache and Dalvik through TWRP and it didn't work as I had the same problem over again. Then I tried flashing another ROM through TWRP and I couldn't complete it as my phone restarted while I tried to flash a new ROM. Then I tried copying my files from phone to USB OTG and that too failed as phone continued to restart. The only option I had is using Fastboot. I downloaded the latest Global ROM MIUI 10 and flashed new ROM using MiFlash. Phone booted perfectly and after I synced my Mi account and Google account the phone switched off again and when I tried to restart it boots up till lockscreen and switches off Immediately.
Again I booted up Xiaomi Recovery as TWRP was now gone and Wiped the ROM and it booted up normally, after few tries I finally didn't sync Mi or Google account and Didn't install anything on phone as it might switch off again. I'm pretty sure it'll switch off again. Other than that I think the device is okay as I'm posting this thread from the same phone. It couldn't be a ROM issue as you can see I've tried different MIUI ROMs even the Custom MIUI ones. What could be the reason for this behavior? I hope someone could help me as it is my main device and this issue is driving me nuts.

Make sure u selected clean flash while flashing fastboot rom including cleaning user storage and internal sd.
Dont encrypt.
Are u rooting ? If rooting use magisk only.... not supersu.
Remove sd card, sim card . clean it. Put back.
If still cant solve....open back cover. Remove both battery connecter and connect again. Charging board flex connector on both end and connect again. Sometimes carbon can create problem.

Problem whith installing Android on Redmi Note 7

Hello,
I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and 2 days ago everything worked fine, but I wanted to root my phone and I watched a tutorial to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP. Then I uninstalled TWRP because the superuser root permission gets automatically denied and I read that I need to uninstall TWRP and reinstall it. So I clicked on the "uninstall" button in twrp and I removed the app, then I removed the cache in recovery mode and I also wiped the Dalvik cache and then nothing worked anymore. I tried to start Android and I had to setup the phone again and when I did it to the "Checking for Updated" screen it stucked on the same screen. I waited several hours but nothing happend. Then I tried to install Android 10 with PixelExperience and I stucked in the first screen where the G logo is. I don't know what I have to do. I tried so many diffrent Android versions yesterday and nothing worked, I can not even install Android 9 anymore.
I hope someone can help me.
Solved
Never mind I fixed it by following the toturial on c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=2

Wiped System Stuck on Boot to Mi Recovery with NV Data Corrupted Error

Helly XDA-Members,
i have a 64 GB Pocophone F1 and bought a 128 GB version. So i can use one for testing and the other as a daily driver. I made a full TWRP backup of the 64 GB Version and tried to restore it on the 128 GB version. Then i stuck on a encryption error and wiped accedentely the SYSTEM. So my IMEI is gone and bluetooth, wifi etc, too.
After trying different software tools like QFIL, QualcommIMEIRebuilder or QLM IMEI REPAIR Tool_B19 but nothing helped me out.
Hopefully here is a person who had the same problem or knows how to help me.
At status Quo i have the 64 GB Pocophone working with unlocked bootloader, TWRP, rooted and DerpFest Rom installed. (Working IMEI, Wifi etc.)
and the 128 GB Pocophone with unlocked bootloader, TWRP, rooted and DerpFest Rom, cause the original MIUI ROM only shows the error "NV Data Corrupted" and bootloops to MI Recovery. The xiomi.eu Rom boots directly to Recovery, so i installed the DerpFest ROM which allowes me to fully boot up the Phone. But without Wifi, without EMEI etc.

[Solved] Wiped System Stuck on Boot to Mi Recovery with NV Data Corrupted Error
I finally restored the Baseband of my Pocophone F1 and will tell you how I did it.
1. I flashed the latest available Globla Stalbe Fastboot Rom (.tgz File) via Mi Flash or bad.
You get it here: POCO F1 Latest Global Stable Version Fastboot File Download
2. Reboot your Phone, then you will start up and it reboot automatically to Mi Recovery after seeing a white loading circle. In the Mi Recovery there as an red Error Message with "NV Data Corrupted"
3. This Error I fixed with this Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLTrwnf7bFA
Here you have to mention, that you need a QCN File for the Pocophone. All you need is a Poco F1 eng.qcn File.
If this was the real solution i don't know. It could be possible, that i fixed it with making a backup of my working Pocophone 64 GB using TWRP Recovery and make a checkmark at System, System Image, Data and EFS. Then i transferred it to the broken Pocophone 128 GB and recovering it there.
You need to flash TWRP first, cause of the Flash and reboot from the Fastboot from you lost TWRP and only see the Mi Recovery.
4. Now you need to Root your device. I´ve used Magisk, then you reboot completely to MIUI and activate the Developer Mode. And USB Debogging in Developer Settings. The rest i fixed with this Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b11v41q8d6A
In this Video you See a Tool with uses a Dongle to get licenced. How you get a license or a Dongle with license you have to find out yourself. Maybe there's a way to Cr##k it like an old Video game where you don't have to put in a CD to play the Game .
So now i used the IMEI from the Backside of my Pocophone F1 128 GB package and the English QCN File we loaded before.
After a reboot everything works fine and you can call again or use Wifi or Bluetooth.
I am so thankful to the People who helped me in the german Forum. In the fanbase Forum, MIUI Germany you find a german post of this solution. The most credits goes to Raikubl from Advanced It Institute he is the one who made the YouTube Video and helped me out.
Damn i love MIUI so much.
