REDMI Note 5 Pro Can't Install GApps Aroma? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus Questions & Answers

i just bought the RN5P today and decided to test out some custom ROMs. the Recover and ROM installation went great for the RR and AOSP, but everytime i tried to install the Google Apps Aroma, it's always stuck and went blank then goes to restart the TWRP after the last screen when it says "Install GApps". it's only restarting the TWRP not the device it self. one thing that i notice the second time when i tried to install the Open GApps Aroma, there's error "E:Legacy property environment did not initialize successfully. Properties may not be detected." i have tried installing it with official TWRP and the red wolf one (forgot the name), non is successful. but the official TWRP will give me error encryption thing, and asked me to enter decrypt key and the TWRP needed to be flashed again. is this only happening to me? i enjoy trying custom ROMs, so please help me

This is Redmi Note 5 plus fourm not 5 pro, so ask your question in proper fourm, thanks

HELP: setup wizard has stopped

Alright guys, I need some big time help. I've recently rooted by US cellular s3 by using a link on youtube (it wont let me post it because I'm new).
Everything went well with the root and I was ALMOST done completing everything I needed for my new cyanogenmod 10.1.2 ROM (or whatever download upgraded me to 4.2.2). I downloaded a gaaps package and flashed the zip file it came with and my phone rebooted into Team Win recovery project.... not into the CWM I've been using the whole time. Now when i turn on my phone, it loads to cyanogenmod home screen, but says the gaaps package has stopped and setup wizard has stopped.
I reboot into recovery and it takes me into the TEAM WIN RECOVERY PROJECT instead of the CWM reboot screen i've been using the whole time. Before flashing the gaaps package, I did a nandroid backup of both my cyanogenmod ROM and the unrooted ROM and switched back and forth between both with no issues. Now with the TWRP reboot, it doesn't show anything in the restore tab.
Heres some highlights:
I'm using a Macbook Pro, but could have access to a pc if absolutely needed
No problems until I downloaded a gaaps package (probably the wrong one)
Reboots into TWRP instead of CWM
No restore files available
Please fellas I could use some help! Your responses are greatly appreciated!

Upgraded problem E: error executing updater binary in zip- oneplus one

My bacon suddenly went to bootloop yesterday. I just flashed the lineageOS and it started like butter.
Then I installed Oreo in my bacon and it opened.
Then I flashed Gapps and it went to bootloop again.
Now problems are-
1. Neither lineage nor any ROM can be flashed. The mobile is going to boot loop again and again. I have cleared cache, data, system and reflashed. But nothing is helping.
2. TWRP cannot be loaded if not in charing post.
3. Already tried fastboot mode. Not helping.
4. Tried gapps uninstaller, stock rom installation but nothing happened.
5. Now if i try to flash, it is showing “binary problem. “
As given in the title. Error code 7.
Unzipping and using notepad++ havent helped me also. That shows error 6. Even superuser cannot be installed due to error code 7.
Can anyone help me?
I want my oneplus one back in life.
Plesse help me!!!

Installed TWRP now how to get back "into" Android

Installed TWRP twrp-3.1.0-1-lt02ltetmo.img on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T217S using Heimdall 1.4.0. Eventually will install LineageOS but as a first step wanted to successfully install TWRP. Have zero experience with all this besides occasional casual usage on an old tablet with the stock KitKat install.
First thing to note to anyone else trying to install a ROM on a Samsung Glaxy Tab 3 SM-T217S. twrp-3.1.0-1-lt02ltetmo.img works. twrp-3.1.1-0-lt02ltetmo.img causes an endless reboot. If accidentally install twrp-3.1.1-0-lt02ltetmo.img use Heimdall to install twrp-3.1.0-1-lt02ltetmo.img.
So TWRP installed okay. Now the device boots into TWRP. How can TWRP be set to boot back "into" the KitKat Android that is currently installed? LUKS encryption (or whatever LUKS/dm-crypt derivative Android uses) is used but assume this shouldn't be an issue since /boot ins't encrypted with LUKS/dm-crypt.
Decided to forget trying to boot old rom and install LineageOS. Assumed (wrongly, maybe?) that TWRP was a bootloader like grub that could easily load standard rom with LUKS/dm-crypt.
Couldn't use TWRP to wipe /data or other partitions due to encryption. TWRP can however just reformat which worked. Than used "adb sideload" to install LineageOS and OpenGApps. About OpenGApps. Used the "aroma" variant which allows choice of which apps to install. The touch screen and home/ back buttons do not work for proceeding with the OpenGApps install. Have to kinda use the volume and power buttons to make and select options during the install. Never really figured out how to make choices so just installed the "pico" (minimal) variant of OpenGApps which installed fine.
Installing LineageOS was absolutely worth it to anyone else thinking about doing so.

Black screen after flashing but phone acting fine

The weirdest thing is happening with my Redmi Note 5 Plus after flashing from a custom rom of Oreo to Android 9. I started with flashing the kernel with Dark Ages's, then I flashed Resurrection I think. It worked fine but once I went back to TWRP to install GAPPS my filesystem was corrupted, at least to TWRP it was but the rom was working fine. I decided to try another rom, PixelExperience I guess but after a successful install I just got a black screen and corrupted filesystem. Tried a couple more roms but the same happened. I tried another kernel but didn't change anything. Went back to Dark Age's. Then I decided to try to update the recovery to OrangeFox and this was a success (though I couldn't get fastboot to work, I had to install via twrp) and I'm not getting corrupted filesystems no more but no matter the rom I install I get the black screen. And now I installed Resurrection again and I still got the black screen but according to the phone's vibrations/sounds and screen dim the phone seems to be working fine, but with a black lit screen...Recovery works fine though...What is happening?
Ok I've been all day around this and I'm going crazy. What's the correct procedure to install these so called Treble roms? Cause I went head first from a custom rom on Android 8 to Android 9 using the standard procedure and it's not working. I have tried using diferent GSI's, not working. I've used the original Treble method with the DP4, not working.
Right now the best I can do is install Resurrection and all seems to work but recovery mode (TWRP and Redwolf) doesn't recognize internal storage. With orangefox the internal storage gets recognized but can't mount it. It's driving me mad, any suggestion? I guess the ultimate question is, how does one correctly installs a treble Rom on Redmi 5 Plus?
Not sure.. ...what is actually happening......but you needs to install the best recovery for Redmi 5 plus/note 5 which is Orange fox with their latest version 10.0
As you said about black screen...you need to wipe system, before flashing the custom rom this will allow the clean installation of flashing rom and system files.

I managed to get past the black screen problem with the installation of the original rom, I'm guessing it was that kernel I had installed, idk. I'll try one last time using orange fox and resurrection.
EDIT: With Orange Fox I can't mount internal storage or usb storage at all...
EDIT2: Wait a minute, "Enable MTP" has to be active right? My bad, I guess Orange Fox and Resurrection work! Now I'm off to install gapps and really test the rom, thanks for the help. I'm leaving the thread open so if anyone has similar problems to mine can contact me. Or if that's not a good policy I ask the mods to close this pls.
MTP is already enabled, all PIE rom are the same, installation went well but after installing it auto boot up and boom black screen.
Black Screen on lavender + ParanoidOS

I would just flash the firmware again through the recovery menu

[HELP] Redmi Note 7 pro [violet] stuck in twrp menu [bootloop]

hey,
my redmi note 7 pro violet has gotten stuck in twrp menu (official twrp 3.3.1-2-violet). i successfully flashed crDroid rom and was using it. I tried to flash another rom from my phone's internal storage, but then the headings in the storage menu had weird auto-generated type names, i couldnt find the rom, i tried to repair, but no avail, then i tried to reboot, then it keeps rebooting to twrp recovery. Then it got caught up in a twrp menu bootloop whatever i do. I successfully pushed my old rom but was unable to reboot into system, keeps booting to twrp recovery. I am new to rooting, this is the first time i have rooted any phone
Please suggest something, no data required, i just want my phone to boot into a rom as usual
thanks guys, i flashed orange fox and flashed miroom, its up and running
