Can tab s3 oreo be rooted? - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Questions & Answers

I bought it with 7.0 without rooted and then upgraded to 8.0. Can it be rooted?
I think the tab runs very slowly so I want to delete some bloatware. Any idea if it can be rooted and how?
Tks.

This really should be asked in the Q & A section and not the development section. But I hope you've read the posts in the development section because you'll find your answer there.

[Root Question] Samsung Galaxy S4

I just bought a new Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 and its running android 4.3 [MJ7] and after some research here and there I've found that ppl managed to keep rooted while updating to this version but what can I do in my case to root my device and install a custom ROM like the following http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2524644 since I already purchase the phone like that. Sorry if this might have already been posted or something...I've done some research ut I'm not quite familiar with the XDA-Forums. Once Again! Thank you!

so far for MJ7 root there is only a method that is frowned upon at the moment called VRoot.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2511815
i reccomend reading the entire thread before attempting that method because its still up in the air on how safe it is. it has been confirmed working by several people though.
at the moment all you can do is root mj7 you cannot replace the bootloader and install custom roms unless a method came out overnight which i am unaware of. safestrap is not yet supported for mj7 either.
Thank you! I will definitely take a close look to VRoot and see how it goes.

[Q] Can Note II with 4.4 OTA Be Rooted?

Sorry if this has been covered already in another thread, but I couldn't find an answer using Search.
I really need to be able to store files generated by apps on the SD card, which I know from experience on another device (Note 10.1) KitKat disables. I also know that rooting allows me to install an app that will allow this limitation to be overcome. My question is whether, by accepting the OTA, I will be unable to root the phone. And if so, how?
I'm currently on 4.3, AND3 build.

Currently no way to root stock OTA 4.4.2 for out Note II (assuming you have the locked bootloader. If you're unlocked, then you can just flash the rooted 4.4.2 ROM).

This is indeed a great site, but if the search function were as strong as you think it is, I wouldn't have had to post this thread. (I now fully understand the Q&A subforum, which is a terrific resource.) It's pretty obvious to me now that if I want root, I can't have updated to KitKat!
Now I'm trying to figure out how to root having backdated my build version to MJ9, which similarly isn't all that easy to find.
I hate preaching to the search function, your right. It ain't google. If your back on mj9 use safe strap and safe root. Don't take the ota to 4.4.2

Wow, Hey thanks for the support. Always glad I can count on people when asking for help.

Just to be on the safe side are you wanting root after you update to MM?
Because there is no known root method yet.
I would hold off if you still want a rooted device.
Edit: I just noticed your sig.. Are you on the Tmobile version? H901?
We have a rooted MM Rom built from the Official T-Mobile 20E.. Its by Eliminater74..
Read his thread in the Tmobile V10 Dev Section on how to update to his Rom.
Im using it. Works flawless for me.
Here's the thread

[Q] How do you root the Samsung Galaxy S4 running Lollipop? (Build LRX22C.I545VRUGOF1

So I am looking to root my S4 Verizon so I can run Cyanogen Marshmallow on it and I can't seem to find the answer.
How do I root it? It is running Android 5.0.1 Lollipop

You can't install cm. Your bootloader is locked, so you can only install touchwiz rooms. The only one I've been able to get to work is albe95's s6 rom. It works great once you turn off the edge features. There's root instructions on the development thread, and the rom is in there as well.
That stinks. I am really impatient for samsung to finish the marshmallow update.

It won't be getting marshmallow, so unless one of the devs on here ports a rom from the s6, s7, or one of the new notes, you're stuck on lollipop.

Until the combo file is leaked on something like Z3X we are sol.The combo file allows us to obtain root access and flash it on the devices that have locked bootloaders. That's basically the best way to explain it.
ok, if I am currently rooted with samfail on android 7.1 can I upgrade to the oem tmobile nonrooted Oreo 8.0 without bricking? I dont really like this root. The people that I paid to root my phone told me to not upgrade or flash roms or even turn off debugging, that all of these will trip knox and possibly brick ... please clarify, you guys sound fluent with this build.
I can ask a friend again and see if he will help like he did last time i asked. Dang shame i will have to get with the iphone devs to make it rain again lol
