Guys i had honor 6x and there was a quick toggle to directly enable or disable 4G and switch to 2G/3G. I loved Huawei for adding this, since it wasnt available in my previous samsung phones. So i decided to buy honor 10 now, and this toggle is not available!! Any idea why they removed it? Or how can i make the similar action quickly? I don't always need 4G except when im using the phone and need fast net, otherwise I toggle 4G off...

I'm looking for an app that will toggle 2g / 3g data either at the touch of a button or (preferably) switch me to 2g when the screen is off and 3g when it is on. I don't really care about high speed when my screen is off.
Anyone know of an app like that?

but be warned, it takes a while to switch between th e two.....i tried it for a while, and its a great concept....but after a while youll find that amount of battery that appears to be saved is not worth having to wait 30sec-1minute everytime you unlock you phone for 3g to kick in (more often than not, youll have no data access during the switch)....i knwo it doesnt SOUND that bad, and to people who dont lock/unlock their phones a lot it probably wouldnt be, but id be willing to bet to 90% of the people who experiment with the 2g/3g feature eventually get annoyed and stop using it
in terms of "the push of a button" the only thing youll get that is close to that is any one of the dozens of apps on the market that is simply a shortcut to the settings menu where 2g/3g option is located. i have a widget that brings me right to that screen. but there is no app that will actually switch back and forth when one button is pressed
Yes it is slow. You may just want to go in to the Signal Frequency settings for the radio and just set to only 2g or 3 g that is what I do when travelling. I need to use ATT to get 3G so i set to only that freq.
NFC quick settings tile.
Primary: on/off
Secondary: Beam on/off
Why? How often do you really need to toggle NFC?
Sent from my Nexus 5
I usually turn it off because of battery saving, privacy concers, but I use it pay with Wallet and to Beam stuff between my tablet and phone.
I agree, it is necessary. But not because you use it 20 times a day, but because you have to go quite deep into the settings to toggle it, it's not comfortable
You shouldn't need to disable it. It doesn't drain battery...

Hello guys,
I just received the update for Android Nougat and is quite nice, however, I have a question.
I enabled the option always on display, but when I lock the phone besides the time it shows me the battery icon. Do you know how to get that icon off?
On the previous version of the OS I didn't had that battery icon with the always on display enabled.
Also, I just wanted to ask if there is anyone who know's to enable the system ui tuner for this phone.? I searched over the internet and some people are stating that is disabled for the LG phones, is that correct?
Thank you.
Bump, because I'd like to get rid of the icon too.
Hi all,
I have been looking and experimenting on toggling my phone mobile data and so far i have no luck.
What i want Tasker to do is to toggle my mobile data while at a certain time. I haven't had much luck so far as I cannot make the toggles work on an unrooted phone. The phone I'm trying to automate is on the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. I have AutoInput as a plugin which works well for other toggles such as GPS but the mobile data not so much.
I am welcome to suggestions and appreciate your time.
Hi all,
I've managed to find out a way through quick settings or pull down menu, but it does not collapse when the screen is off. The lock screen just shows it pulled down. It works when using the phone but not on the lock screen. Is this a known bug? Is there a work around to it?
Cheers
Hello,
I just picked up an S9+ and I think it's great. I'm coming from having had a variant of the MotoX line for the past 4 years (MotoX (1st Gen) and MotoX Style/Pure).
I really like my new S9+, but there are two features in particular I REALLY miss from the MotoX. I'd like to know if there's anyway at all to get the S9+ to have the following:
1. What Motorola called "Active Display", and what I think Google now calls "Ambient Display". The functionality of Active Display is SO much better than Samsung's "Always On Display". Mainly that in Active Display you can preview incoming alerts without actually having to go to the lock screen or unlock the phone.
2. Gestures. On the MotoX line, you could use various gestures to activate functions on the phone. The best one was "twist" to activate the camera. Yes, I know a quick double tap of the power button on the S9+ will activate the camera, but a quick twist is slightly faster.
Anyway, if there's any possible way at all to work these features into the S9+ please let me know!!
Thanks everyone!
